Dude is named Eyeless Jack, you'd think he'd take away other people's eyes but nope, he goes for the kidneys.
Well umm at least its original i guess
He's a genius, you're gonna try to cover your eyes, and bam, there goes your kidneys.
unless other stupid monsters, he steals kidneys and sells them to get rich

bro that Russian sleep experiment one scared the fuck outta me when I was 7, it's crazy to think it's literally just a Halloween decoration with a creepy filter
I don’t believe the story is true, it’s always been a “creepy pasta” aka a scary story

Ikr, that was my fav creepy pasta. I am disappointed to know the origins of the picture

I don't find the Barney one creepy in the slightest. He's not lurking, the door just opened and he's walking out. Those black dots aren't his eyes, they're his nostrils. His eyes are on top, just barely in view.
I was looking for this comment. It’s a pretty normal photo, people are just confusing the nostrils with eyes.
If anything it's more goofy than creepy
Barney always creeped me out as a kid, regardless. That photo just looks like a funny knock-off costume.
Humans have the uncanny ability to be very stupid, which is why natural stupidity is a thing
Ok? Here’s a cookie
6:06 idk why this made me bust out laughing. The silence and then deadpan delivery of "barney" made me choke on my drink

It would be amazing to have a time machine to go back and write some creepypastas with the endless amount of new AI photos that are obviously fake now, but would be absolutely terrifying to see back then if you didn’t recognize it as fake.
When AI becomes super realistic soon we can do that to the point of making photos that probably can fake being real
man the most interesting aspect of creepypasta is that photos are 99% of the time real. 99,9% of the time the creepy context is made up and it doesn't exist too of couse but at least they are actually real. if you fake the creepy context and the creepy image where's the funny aspect? you all missed the point of creepypastas
Remove yourself from the premises of the earth
@@dario1998 Why do so many people hate AI photos?
@@Crazypug2881 cuz its lazy af and AI is never accurate, it will never BE 100% accurate, AI art is terrible.
The internet was true wild place in the 90’s and 2000’s. I remember getting traumatized by randomly surfing the web innocently…
The amount of graphic videos that was going around everywhere without censors were wild 💀
This is 2010s internet culture but go off
the russian sleep experiment figure was sculpted by Jordu Schell! Hes a creature and character designer who designed the Avatars from the movie Avatar. the one thats shown beside the black and white one was actually a recent re creation he did of it because of how popular this story had gotten. Hes a friend!
His work is amazing. I love it!
That’s so cool!
Wait, Jordu Schel did this...
That's pretty classic!
Oh! Okay good, it’s not a person whose been horribly scarred by some kind of mustard gas or some shit like that.
Please let him know his work never fails to make my heart skip a beat and lose some sleep. 😂
As someone who's interested in Halloween props, Spazm is seriously has such a good mold. I mean god damn, it HAS to when its fooled the entire internet for years.
That would have been a cool prop! You could say that you have a Russian Sleep Experiment person on your lawn!
@@pestemmedico6369 I actually do! He's one of our oldest decorations, with my parents buying him when I was a kid in the 2000's! His age is clearly showing, to the point where we had to put duct tape on his neck to keep his head from falling off, but he's still a solid prop.
To think, I've been living alongside a creepypasta celebrity for most of my life! Though, in my defense, I REALLY didn't like Halloween decorations when I was little, so I never really took a good look at him.
What's insane is that they haven't brought it back. Imagine how many people would buy one.
Yeah I've seen a few haunted houses with it in there and it's pretty fitting
I remember being scared to death of that image as a kid, jumping whenever I accidentally came across it online.
im actually so happy to find most of the origins of these photos, years ago me and my friend chloe would talk everyday about smile dog, sonic.exe, and all sorts of creepy 4chan image to scare ourselves it was so fun to look around for creepypastas
The figure associated with the Russian Sleep Experiment, I always thought it was sitting on a hospital bed, but if you look at the image, it looks more like an outdoor bench covered in snow.
wait you're so right
oh yeah
HOW DID I NEVER NOTICE THIS?!! 😂
I'll never unsee this

@Rs_Rilla same
Well now you had to watch it to be relieved it is just some random halloween deco
Fun fact
One of the biggest scares of my life involved me coming face to face with a Spazm prop in a dark storage space.
Yikes!
@@snuke37 Yea was helping a friend clear out his storage. I turned a corner, using a small crappy flashlight to see mind you, amd had this thing be about a foot away from me. I don't know who scared more. Me seeing Spazm, or my friend hearing me 🤣
The SCP Foundation was hype back when I was younger. I spent so many hours in high school looking at the various entries on the site. My favorite one is probably SCP-999. It's an invincible jelly guy.
What are the scariest SCPs, in your opinion? I admit I've never checked the SCP project out before.
@johngardner684 Uh...man, that's a good question.
The one that comes to mind to me is The Shy Guy (SCP-096). Anyone who looks at its face, whether that in person, through photograph, or whatever, will be hunted down and killed by the SCP. I'll let you know if i can find other scarier ones.
UPDATE: I finally remembered another one of my scariest SCPs. Too Spooky (SCP-2006) is a Keter class SCP (basically the most dangerous of them all) that can shape-shift into what it perceives as scary.
Because of this, the SCP Foundation only shows it cheesy horror movies from guys like Ed Wood because if it ever broke out and found out what humans are really afraid of, then it could cause havoc.
@@JohnGardnerAlhadis The giant eel is real great. SCP-3000.
I miss when scp was actually scary, before the fanbase was ruined by powerscalers.
@@K1ng_Squ1dZ exactly
So, Eyeless Jack was a kid who had his eyes removed in a satanic ritual, and this turned him into a monster that sneaks into people’s houses and eats their … kidneys. Makes sense! 🤦🏻♂️
Satan's favorite food is kidneys I guess.
The ritual with the child did really happened, but whatever is the picture isn't it.
Yeah, creepypasta have alot of cringe stort
But the story is fictional?
@@cefrinaldi8060creepypastas can't be cringe
Watching this reminds me of the golden days of creepypasta, the Russian sleep experiment still remains one of the top stories.
It's thrilling and also scary how the origin of those pics still remains unknown.
didnt he just say its fake?
@@psychoRabblol yeah he just explained the whole backstory to these photos… dude obv didn’t watch the video
Er, both of the images associated with that creepypasta were explained in this video. One is a Halloween decoration called Spazm with filters applied to it (4:31), and the other is a photo demonstrating different gas masks used by different armies in WWI (5:07)...
i love re-reading it every few months. i do the same with the showers, 1999 (when it still existed), penpal, tulpa, etc
@@sipsdrewshin9169You do have a point there friend. But I HAVE watched the video, I just happened to forget about the part where the origins were explained. But scratching the "unknown" part I mentioned, the images still hold up well for how they were used to be associated with the story and add up to it's horror element.
“A stranger is a friend you haven’t met yet” and similar sayings from Barney made the show itself highly creepy to me as an adult. Scarier than that picture. 😡
That's not a real Barney quote. It's a misquote from an Irish poet - the actual Barney sang a song about not talking to strangers.
Those likely aren’t Barney’s eyes, they’re just his nostrils. His eyes are behind his snout due to the perspective.
Makes sense.
Russian sleep experiment is my favorite creepypasta thus far. Scary, well-written. I definitely need to explore more pastas.
I used to think it actually happened 😩
I recommend "borrasca". its traumatizing tho
The Japanese shadow lady looks creepier without the eyes.
Good analogy for the difference between JPN and US horror back in the 2000s. JPN horror tended to focus on unsettling atmosphere and chills while US horror went "naw, fuck subtlety, gotta be in your face!" Legit surprised the one who edited the picture refrained from adding a creepy smile.
To be honest I miss being a kid and reading about creepypastas for the first time. Around 2005- 2010 me, my brothers and some of my good friends back then used to watch scary videos and read creepypastas whenever we had a BBQ or if my friends just came around. We would get scared as we we around 7 at the time.
I remeber being in middle school and absolutely being in love with creepypasta and scp and the holder series I also liked hearing scary reddit stories and other scary stuff lol but I've recently stopped
@@furrycircuitry2378yup
The story of Eye-less Jack has always sounded so strange to me… like if his eyes were dug out of his head during a sacrifice, you’d think the body part he’d go around spitefully taking from his victims as payback would be their eyeballs… not kidneys? 😅 I mean… why the kidneys of all organs? Just seems so random to me 👀🤷♀️😂
He doesn’t care about eyes anymore. Bro just wants that sweet black market money
@@RachCanlol sounds kinda true I think he's saving up for indestructible eye balls if not then he saving up for weapons to keeps killing his victims
he eats their kidneys !
@@buildersPNJhe's saving up for better weapons to kill more efficiently to make more on the black market like when you buy the stud multiplier in lego star wars. Anyway I think it would be a lot creepier if it was a normal human face without eyes. Way too easy to write the design off as a mask like any other stylised killer
You can survive without your eyes but taking both kidneys is painful and will kill you
There are plenty of channels posting about crazy stories, but most of them just have filler edgy and dramatic commentary. It's nice to come across a channel that also makes detail and research a huge point. Hard to find these days, you definitely earned my subscription!
Those don't look like they are supposed to be Barney's eyes, they look like they are supposed to be nostrils, made bigger so whoever wore the costume can see better out of them.
Yup
idk why but that image of barney is genuinely hilarious to me
for me his face kinda looks like the annoying orange so that makes it extra funny
This was a real blast from the past! Thank you, my friend! ❤
my favorite part of this year so far is finding out that the figure in the russian sleep experiment was an animatronic from spirit halloween
8:05 I mostly remember this one from the JoJo edit that had the smiling girl as King Crimson, the shadow as Diavolo, and the boy as Bucciarati dripping blood from his mouth.
I have never seen eyeless Jack before, and I was chronically online all the time
Your voice is making me feel safe while watching this. This makes it a lot easier :D
I seriously thought you were going to have actual answers for all these photos. And you did. :) subbed.
The Russian Sleep Experiment scared me as a kid. I knew it was made up/fiction, but it was still just... so well-written. a lot of pastas in the day didn't shake me as bad as The Russian Sleep Experiment did.
Man, I forgot how good old creepy pastas were. They are so nostalgic. Now we just have some walking siren...

Spasm is a really good Halloween decoration

I now understand these images a lot better, thank you
me and my friend when we were younger would sometimes go onto youtube and watch scary japanese short film, and that one in this video was included. That video has lingered in my mind to this day and the image pops up a few years ago now being infamous, and it is so funny (and creepy) that this was a part of my childhood.
Great video. 8:07 It's the Hash Slinging Slasher!
So on the Barney image, the young kid is actually me. I remember sending to my friend Owen back in the day and him telling me it was well received on reddit. On the left of the picture you can see a man standing whose slightly cut off that's my dad. I remember the picture was in central New Jersey I think at a flea market. I used to love barney. I asked my parents and they couldn't really remember why they had someone in a terrible Barney costume or really where it was. Just surreal seeing myself if one of these videos

fr? Obviously you don't have proof but I kind of believe you lol
@@prghjkl Oh yeah, thats me at around 4 or 5, I found the picture one day while me and my sister were going through photo albums at my parents place, super into creepypasta's and all that sort of thing and sent it to my buddy on facebook messenger. He loved it and put it on reddit, which I didn't really mess with at the time, and was updating me all afternoon while I was at work. This was years ago, definitely forgot about it, and I'm laying in bed the other day and saw the thumbnail of this video and thought my phone was doing something fucky, then realised what I was seeing. I appreciate the journalism at play here. Good work exposing the truth while still keeping a tense and unsettling atmosphere
When you really looked at the sleep experiment victim, it's easy to see it's fake. It's a park bench with snow all around. The figure is smaller than it should be compared to the bench since its proportions are too small for a full-size adult.
I am so glad you're doing a video on this! Scary and nostalgic, not to mention super creepy!
