Love scary stories to tell in the dark 😈👌
Very interesting
this story sucked
These pictures themselves aren’t scary, it’s the undiscovered exact reason WHY and HOW they exist
No it's scary
Smile dog is kinda scary, the rest are more unnerving and ominous
Not to me. It's the insistence of questions that robs them of what little scare factor they originally had.
I thoroughly enjoy your comment . It gives more intellectual thought and yes I agree. The pictures are definitely creepy, not so much "scary".... And yes, the lingering questions are definitely more frightening due to the unknown aspects.
@@rcdune7132bro scary or creepy are synonyms. You want to talk about intellectual stuff and you don’t even know that. Pls that’s not even being intelectual that’s just a regular thought. Dummy

It is actually totally normal to find stairs in the wilderness. When I was younger, I used to do long range hikes. Sometimes if you have a location that you can research, I almost always found information about a warehouse or factory that existed there. Stairs are just the strongest parts of the structure, so they are the last part that nature takes back when people stop using such places. Random fireplaces are common as well.
Stairs are the most durable because you need the stairs for going down/up right?
@@cevatkokbudak6414 When constructing a large building, they start with the foundation and often the elevator shaft and stairs. Then many parts of the interor of the building are attached to these central locations. Because of this, the stairs are often constructed out of the strongest materials the structure has to offer.
@@Jesses001 thanks
@@Jesses001yes but that doesn’t explain why they are in the middle of a forest next to absolutely nothing
@@imana3808 Sometimes if it is very old, it will be next to a river because river water power was common for factories before electricity was so common. Other times it is because it was not always a forest. Once homans move out of an area, a forest can take back the land at a decent speed, depending on what structures are involved. Sometimes you will find houses that have been empty since the 1970s, but see no way they ever got to the hourse. In truth, the drive way and connecting road were taken back by nature.
I can tell you that the teletubby picture isn't some sort of mystery. The teletubby costumes are real. My dad wore one on my 2nd birthday. My family still have a photo of it and apparently I cried as soon as I saw him 😂

The first smile dog image is the "Still Bummed" album cover but edited. The 2nd image is the true image, made by the writer of the OG story to accompany the story. The third image is from a deviantart account

@@zyprexza the background is edited
@@zyprexza agree, doubt it's the same dog
Still bummed released in 2013 but this picture was known in 2010. Also the dog on the album has its head tilted to the left while smile dog has his tilted to the right. Smile dog is a fake picture but its not made from that album cover.
The fact that smile dog’s photos have almost zero background information just makes the Creepypasta more scary
true but im predicting theyre all different images of different huskies taken before the year 2008, obviously, that was taken by meme creators (threadbombing sites) and turned into a popular meme, just by adding text at the bottom. then once it became popular someone edited it (the high resolution image). when that started to blow up, others began editing random huskies on the internet to look like smile dog. i noticed the difference in fur patterns, and since its untraceable on the internet they could likely be photos of the 90s. especially regarding the poor quality of the images.
@@infantile.destruction "they could likely be photos of the 90s. especially regarding the poor quality of the images."
You know you can just lower image/video quality digitally, right? Just compress it a bunch of times and it's done, or just apply a bunch of effects to it like noise, grain, etc. Come on man.
@@infantile.destruction Are you implying that there are multiple versions of the same smile dog image?

honestly the saddest part about the teletubby one is that it is safe to assume this poor kid most likely was a long term patient concidering he has a bunch of stuff up on the walls. As to whether or not he made it we probably will never know, but the fact that the picture was used as part of a collage put up by the hospital itself, it is more likely he survived as I imagine hospitals tend to avoid using pictures of patients who have passed away in their any display that isn't intended for memorialzing

The Teletuby photo very well could’ve been taken in England, not the Netherlands. The original poster said it was an English childrens hospital, and Bergkamp was at London-based club Arsenal from 1995-2006.
The photo could’ve been taken any time, but that could possibly narrow the timeframe down a bit.

I am a huge fan of the Resistance franchise, this is my first time discovering that The Rake was actually used as promotional use in Resistance 3's release ? Wow.
The whole “Rake” subject is a unique one.
Long story short “The Rake” is a fictional, creepy pasta internet creation. The supposed trail cam photo in the first clip I’ve been on the fence for years on that one.
There are hundreds of supposed legit sightings (that far precede “The Rake”) of a tall, pale, emaciated creature or being throughout North America. Referred to as “Pale Crawlers” they share a similar appearance with the ancient “Ghoul”, certain Skinwalkers and Wendigos. Look into with an open mind while keeping a skeptical eye open. I personally believe there’s some truth to some of it. My only credentials being that I’ve spent more time in the remote outdoors of N.America camping, hiking, floating, hunting, fishing than most any average 15-20 people over the past 40 years. I’ve had experiences, sightings and sounds that I still cannot explain.
I would love to hear about some of the things you've seen & sounds you've heard that you can't explain. I love hearing stories about cryptids & sounds that just don't make sense.
Like what? Share.
I think the rake is the best creepypasta. Its genuinely scary looking and vague enough on the lore that it sets your imagination to run free. It couldnt be presented as a "sexy anime boy" anywhere near as often as slenderman or Jeff the killer so it retained its mysterious nature and lack of humanity. It's original backstory is simply that it somehow gets into your house if you live deep in the woods and stares at you at the end of your bed and someone may spontaneously die. Its semi-supernatural, not a ghost, but it breaks reality and the danger it presents is unpredictable. There are more questions than answers when it comes to the rake and that's the way it should be
@@backwardsbandit8094and the sleep paralisis thing which a lot of people expierence makes it even more belivable
I’m so relieved to see someone else who has that experience! Seeing stuff like that and being unable to find any other people who’ve seen it is frustrating. I used to do sketches of them and anatomy. Sadly that got me locked up in a psychiatric hospital for nearly 2 months. Police were involved and I was nearly given criminal charges for god knows what reason. My work is gone now but I’m determined to keep studying them and spreading awareness. I thought that people just didn’t believe in these things but actually getting locked up and prosecuted for even being aware of these things is just outright disgusting. It may be for other reasons but for all I know, it was because of my work, and something about ‘endangering’ people. I mean I was out in the woods for days at a time with weapons and making traps and cameras and stuff, but I did it where people never went. I even got what I thought was a few plausible photos and now that’s all gone.
These images really can give any one chills

i found cursed images hilarious when i was 10, dont know what the fuss is about with the teletubbies one really
@frogchamp. it's simply unnerving. black dots for eyes, tall costumes, the color of the image and because the image looks old.
I think one terrifying thing about the rake is despite its fiction it is so close to something thats tangible. I can recall my friend recounting all her strange experiences at her haunted house- one so vividly reminded me for her description to me of the rake. So we just started calling whatever that creature was, the rake. Because id seen it too. Once when taking the dogs out, not quite like that, but all the still bonechilling.
I could beat it in a fight, it has no muscles and crawls around making an easy target for it's head to get kicked.
People say Smile Dog isn’t scary but there’s something about the first image that legit freaks me out. Not even the overexposed red one, just that first one. I don’t know what it is. Uncanny valley, maybe?
It's wild seeing the higher resolution image of the Rake in this video. Much easier to make out how digitally altered the image is. That one was very convincing 10 years ago.
It freaked me out so bad as a kid.
I think the most likely explanation about the teletubbies picture is that they were a company that weren't licensed to use the teletubbies name or likeness so they made their own similar costumes and did a bad job. Zoomers will try to make anything look creepy.
@chandllerburse737 You mean to most zoomers.

I feel like he didn't entirely answer the SAR thing. He asks if it was "real or a hoax," & the answer is neither: It was started by a user on nosleep, & if you saw his OOC posts, there was a clear understanding it wasn't real. You CAN find staircases in the woods for various reasons--hunting platforms that are no longer there, cabins that have been torn down, and the like--but the author (in-character) decided to assert that the spooky story stairs looked nothing like those.

Great job, I love this. It's cool to dive into more historical and anthropological/sociological angles on horror. I find it just as fascinating as the stories themselves.

The amount of views in the short amount of time this video has been alive tells me that we need more creepy pastas

Not anything scary on a paranormal or unsettling level, but I am looking for some as of now, lost footage. It’s a film (not sure of which format) that was taken in August 17, 1961. It was shot in Botwood, NL as a large fire destroyed a wharf, paper storage shed and 2 homes. I have a 5 minute and 40 second clip from the footage but it’s extremely low quality footage from an old VHS tape taken from an 8mm camcorder tape. It has no sound and I have no idea how much is cut off or altered although it looks to me like it’s not visually altered in any way. The tape is clearly damaged and with how interested I am in lost footage and this specific event, I would be so excited to know if I can get my hands on at least a proper digital copy of the footage. Thanks in advance to anyone who wants to help. I have snippets from the footage on my TH-cam channel and the full unedited footage on my instagram.
