    When I do these types of shirts, I put secondary lines between the large spaces in the fan and fold those in - they give a really cool secondary pattern and it flattens the tie.

      That's a great idea! I need to remember that the next time I tie one of these. 😀

    What a super gorgeous shirt! I see a feathered headdress. What a fold, but totally worth it. As usual, your eye for color combos is stupendous! Yes, they do all go so well together. Thanks, Angie!!! 🥰🥰🥰

    Thank you so much for sharing so many instructional videos! I bought a piece of white cotton fabric that is 108" square. I'm debating whether i should tie dye the fabric and then make the dress, or make the dress and then tie dye it. I'm learning towards the first, but is a lot of fabric either way!

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What a fun project! I think it just depends on the design you want on your dress. If you want a design that flows like a fan fold, mandala, etc... I would make the dress and then dye it so that your design seamlessly flows across the fabric on the dress. However, if you want a more freeform design like tall deep scrunches, I would dye the fabric first. Let me know how it turns out! 😀

    I love your videos and want to get into gravity ice dying but it looks incredibly difficult. Could you do a video detailing the many ways you gravity dye? And best tools for this? I know you have a lot of videos on different gravity dyes but it would be amazing to have it all in one video. Thanks! This shirt looks spectacular btw 🪶

    It's like blue Jay feathers. These kinds of folds are too exact for me. I'm pretty imperfect. That's why I cook, but don't bake.

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They do look like Blue Jay feathers. I don't do too many protractor folds either, but they are fun to do occasionally. I feel a sense of accomplishment when the dye flows perfectly down the lines. 😀

    Would this process need adjusting in any way to accommodate a hoodie? Also, do you have a link to contact you for a ‘consultation’ of sorts? I’m making a hoodie for my husband’s birthday, and I have a color scheme in mind, but would definitely appreciate a weigh-in from the expert!
    If that’s a service you offer, I would be so, so grateful!
    Loving your work (as always), Angie!

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi! My first recommendation would be to make sure your hoodie is mainly cotton.
      A lot of hoodies contain a very high polyester fabric content. Sometimes the polyester is mainly on the fuzzy part inside, but I wouldn't use a hoodie with a cotton content that is low. Otherwise, the hoodie will be very pale.
      To accomodate a hoodie you would need a tall enough vessel to incline the hoodie. Vinyl guttering probably wouldn't work because the sides aren't tall enough, but you could be creative and come up with some other way to incline it. Since a hoodie is very thick, you will also need to use quite a bit of dye and ice to get the dye to go all the way through the fabric. It might also be easier to flip the hoodie and add more dye and ice to the back side once the ice has melted on the front.
      If you have questions, you can contact me through my website: www.funendeavors.com/

    The colors in this are really nice together. One thing I've wondered about your incline fanfolds: do you always put the center of the fold at the apex of the incline? I saw an incline fanfold on the Belladonna Dyes channel (th-cam.com/video/Egq_LEMxBhA/w-d-xo.html) where they put it at the bottom, and they ended up with rounded edges like a chrysanthemum. I've never been able to replicate it, though, so I'm wondering if it was just a fluke or if anyone else had done it.

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much! 😀 I normally put the center up. I made a fan folded poncho and faced it down because of the shape of the fold. That one ended up with more rounded flows too. Here's a link to that video: th-cam.com/video/lzJVygzF_og/w-d-xo.html

      @KalliJ13 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@FunEndeavors That one turned out very cool, indeed. Now I wonder if my lack of "petals" is because the projects were made of thinner fabric than most T-shirts. Oh well (-: Experimenting is half the fun about tie dyeing!

    • @FunEndeavors
      @FunEndeavors  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@KalliJ13 Thank you! I'm not sure, I don't think I've ever tried turning one upside down on a t-shirt. That might be fun to try though.
