Mr Tie Dye is always preaching to pull the sinew away from the you. These way you don't hit yourself in the head mouth, or stomach. Lesson learned HARD.
Yeah, it hurts to punch myself. I don’t have enough strength & control to pull away from myself. I do suggest to do whatever works best for you. Have fun tie dyeing. 😁❤️🌈

This is proof. I'm MUCH older than you. This is nothing at all like old school tie dye. I LOVE this shirt. One of my favorite designs to make as well as to wear.

New to tie dyeing and having a lot of fun with it so far. What I'm trying out with the muck is doing shibori folding on fabric yardage. The project I set yesterday has 4 triangle shibori folded pieces that will end up being 7.5" wide and 112" long, perfect for a shibori border to a larger quilt. When I peeked in on the melted process, it looks like it'll be mostly green (which I predicted based off my color choices for the stuff up top), although one of the pieces ended up with a bunch of red splashed on one of the sides facing up. I tried this method with just one shibori triangle folded piece a couple of weeks ago and ended up with this stunning teal and steel blue dye effect. So, something to consider that is muck friendly if you're someone who likes to dye cotton yardage pieces. P.S. - love how this one turned out and I've been trying to convince people since I was a teenager that purple and green naturally look awesome together.

Very cool. I really got a feel for the process of wrap & scrunch. I haven’t tried these techniques before and am soaking up all the “ muck” from you and Scott! 😂. I won’t try it till closer to summer as I’m in western NY and it’s still pretty cold, I’d prefer to do it outside. Thanks!
Sinew snaps drive me nuts 😂 the only times I get pin holes seem to be digging out the frayed sinew ugh. Cool video!
