Yes you can connect a mixer to V9 to DSLR to record video. If you connect a mixer I presumed condenser mic should be connected to the mixer. Phone out or stereo out from the mixer be connected to the music or background music of the v9 sound card. In this set up you can still use sound effects from the sound card like laughter, applause, etc but not the voice over and and pitch. There is another set up which it should work too. I am hoping to post a video for you in the near future.

You can only record to a different device but not to the sound card itself. V9 doesn’t have that feature you add customized sound effects to the sound card
Yes you can connect an earphone to V9. For live purposes you can’t connect directly the mic of dslr to live coz it doesn’t have access to streaming platforms like FB or YT. Most likely you have to connect the dslr to a computer to be able to use the sound effects from v9 and cam from dslr.
@@jedrickvillanueva8878 I see. In that case, it would be more easier to record but a bit more work for editing which is more better output. You have 2 options. First option would be easier, set up would be same as shown on this video, you might need to test a few times the sensitivity of mic to the dslr setting. Once you hit record from the DSLR, that's your recorded audio/video with V9 sound effect. If you see on the dslr, I was recording what I am doing and it saved to the memory card then you can do whatever you want. Now option 2 is to record the video with your dslr and you do not have connect it to the V9. You have to use a separate device to record the audio - mic, headphone connected to V9 and the separate device connected to Live 1 or 2 of V9. To edit - sync (combined) them using the video from dslr and audio from the other device. Output on this one is more better and you can control the volume of the audio. I used Kinemaster on my phone for editing
Using a sound card, connection from sound card to dslr are the same you just add the connection from the amplifier to the port that says Music or background music of the sound card.

I have not tried it yet as I just got my focusrite. I’ll be making a video on that once I find out how.

Yes, you don’t need a speaker. Headset would be okay for recording or Live streaming. Connect a speaker if you want a loud audio.
