Thank you. About the condenser mic, a BM800 has a small sound without soundcard/ plugged straight to cellphone using splitter. Can the soundcard change this situation/ make the BM800 mic louder?
I have not yet really pay attention as to the comparison of the audio level with or without sound card. But I think it will amplify the audio level coz aside from the vocal volume within Smule/ Starmaker, you can also increase mic volume from the sound card

I have tested so far with the use of both condenser mic and sound card. I like Starmaker coz you can sing a full song without subscription while smule you have to join to someone else to sing or get subscription to sing the full song. There are a few who will let you sing the full song.

You can actually combine effects from the sound card and Starmaker vocal effects. If you select None on the effects then you’re only using the V8 effects alone but if you select an effects from Starmaker then you can also add effects from V8

I see. It depends in your phone if you can do 2 things in one time. I meant play an mp3 then open another program or app for recording. Not sure for the newer phones but older phones can only run 1 at a time.

Hi ! I am facing a serious problem connecting the V9 card to starmaker. When I record a song, double mucis plays one from starmaker and one from recorded sound. If I mute the star maker music, then recorded sound music quality is not very good. Can I just record vocals and play background music from starmaker for recording a song there ???? Sorry can’t really test it myself as I don’t have a mini mic. If you meant to connect it to v8 or v9 sound card, I can’t tell if it’ll work. Most likely it will work if you connect it to the headset port of the sound card, but for sure try connecting as well to the condenser mic and Dynamic port for v8 but you will need an adapter.

No need of phantom power if you use an electret condenser mic like bm 800 mic that has xlr to 3.5mm cord. You only need phantom power if you are going to use Rode NT1 A or Audio Technica 2020 to use for V8 or V9 sound cards.
I noticed that you used a speaker vs headphones. Do you get feedback when doing this? If not, seems like this would be good for a karaoke party or something where others can be present to hear you sing?

There is good things on both. Both has a good sound quality. In V9 once you click sound effect the second time it will stop unlike the maono you will click other button to stop it. Maono is a bit more expensive than V9. However if you want to record sound effect Maono can do it but not the V9. Maono has Denoise function. If you need that function then go for Maono.
Madan you worked under star maker apps, it has a restriction as those who haves star maker apps they only can listen and see that video, can we do same recording on two mobile, one mobile with star maker apps and other mobile without star maker app and both mobile should have same recording?
Yes you can. If you just want to record the audio, connect from the earphone of the sound card to the other device, open voice recorder then record simultaneously while you’re recording using other device with the starmaker app.

That means the sound card is not connected at all to your phone. If you are using an iPhone, most likely it’s the lightning adapter issue. I bought my b lightning adapter from apple store. You don’t need to have a sound card. You should be able to sing to Starmaker using your phone with the headset (earphone or headphone with built in mic on it).
The phone mfgs soldered a wire from pin 1 to pin 9 I'm every single one of usbC powered phones. This made the power adapters able to be plugged in no matter which side of the adapter connector is facing (up or down) not a problem if your phone has a headphone jack. For those who don't boy are you faced with a huge problem. Why? Because pin 1 & 9 connected screws up the (l & r) polarity of many many head phone connections There are 2 ways for phone mfgs to handle the usbc stereo audio out. L R common Ground & LR Independent ground & anybody s guess on the mono or stereo mic pin choice fir each mfgs phone. You must find an (usb/hp jack adapter) that is compatable with your phone. There are basically 4 common pin out configurations used by the USB C to head phone mini jack Adapter mfgs Then a headphone that is compatible with your adapter. Good luck because it's hard to find all of the desirable quality components in one store to test this out. The workaround, Get a Samsung dex mobile to big flat-screen conversion box. Hook it up and use the headphone out from the TV and use the media dashboard of BOTH DEX & TV to configure the contraption to use the TV Sound. You still won't have any vocal monitor of your voice when recording but that's because the apps have their own rigid no customization at all. You might get lucky and find a combination that works
@@jenuds Thank You, nice video, I have posted alot on Smule & Starmaker, I wasn't aware of the 8 or 9 If one of them or both allows you to monitor your voice with effects in the mix while you are recording & use the phones mic, then that will solve the issue. I believe it does do that even with extra mic is ok as long as the latency is handled then it's a winner.

I can’t guarantee if it’ll work xiaomi phone as I can’t do a test for you- I don’t have that phone yet. If you followed this video and it didi not work, perhaps it’s of those not compatible phone for this sound card. You mentioned in one of your reply that if you use a Micro USB cable then there is no need to turn on Bluetooth. That means the source of music from the phone App will travel along that single cable to the V8 and to your headphone. At the same time that same cable will allow the recording data to travel from the Mixer to the phone (as a recorded song).In other words that single Micro USB cable allow data to travel in both direction (Input and Output at the same time). Is that possible?
Great question. First of all V8 has no switch for turning on or off the Bluetooth. V9 has Switch so if you want to use bluetooth connection, make sure to turn it on. When I said connecting a micro usb to 3.5 mm which is for v8 ( 3.5 mm TRS on both ends for v9), this means music is from a different device to be connected to the accompany or background music input of v8- meaning 3.5 mm connected to that device then the other end the micro usb is connected to the accompany or background music of the v8. Now you will need another micro usb to 3.5mm connect to the device or phone your going to use for recording or streaming - you connect micro USB this time to Live 1 or 2 of v8 then other end the 3.5mm to connect to the device or phone you are going to use for recording or streaming. This would be the set up if you are going to use Song from different source other than songs from Smule.
Try nyo po mic volume half from the max, then echo sobra kalahati, then Bass at treble kalahati. Most of the time ganyan setting ko po. Pero gusto nyo pong mas mayeffect taasan nyo lang po ang echo.
Opps so sorry. Let me repeat what I said. Try to set mic volume at least halfway from the max then echo over the half like 2:00 o’clock, then Bass and Treble just half from the max. Most of the time this is my setting for singing. However if you want more reverb - you may turn the echo more higher.
Actually just use a headset, you can sing to starmaker. People are just curious if they can connect V8 or V9 to Starmaker and that’s why I make a video.

Yes you can use accompaniment stored from your computer. Any sound card you can do that. Audio would be the same. However since different manufacturer it could result in different audio quality as well.

Personal choice between V9 and V8, I’ll go for V9. So far I only tested 1 kind of V9 and I like the audio quality. On the other hand I have tested a few different kinds of V8 and some of them doesn’t sound good.
Why do you connect the soundcard with Bluetooth while you already have it connected to your phone? Shouldn't your phone just recognize the soundcard like any other normal input device or microphone? This seems like a unnecessary step to me?

I presumed you are recording to an iPhone or android phone which uses adapter. Is that right? If so, very common issue is the adapter. Before we go farther, please check and test your adapter if you are using the right one like in this video th-cam.com/video/ILQcRfj6aaY/w-d-xo.html
Correct. I used a wrong terminology “it doesn’t matter”. For some external speaker it doesn’t work once it’s connected to the headset port. I tried using an earphone without mic and it works. I am actually hoping to make a video of that.
Are you using iOS coz of it is, lightning audio adapter could be the issue. If you are using android - make sure it’s properly plugged in and try using different cords.

That happen to me using the v8. Anyway I mentioned that on this video and I had to lower the music from the effects setting

Madan you worked under star maker apps, it has a restriction as those who haves star maker apps they only can listen and see that video, can we do same recording on two mobile, one mobile with star maker apps and other mobile without star maker app and both mobile should have same recording?
Yes you can. If you just want to record the audio, connect from the earphone of the sound card to the other device, open voice recorder then record simultaneously while you’re recording using other device with the starmaker app.

Can I please ask when u r singing in to mic is the sound coming through smule (with voice effects ) via the speaker or is the voice going from the microphone directly to the speaker and not through smule
The voice with effects should come out on both speaker and Smule. Best if you use a headphone or earphone.

That means the sound card is not connected at all to your phone. If you are using an iPhone, most likely it’s the lightning adapter issue. I bought my b lightning adapter from apple store. I can't sing starmaker songs while using iphone cause in absence of 3.5mm jack its using BT mode, i don't have V8 sound, so my question is it necessry to have sound card while using Using IoS Iphone Device as gedget??
You don’t need to have a sound card. You should be able to sing to Starmaker using your phone with the headset (earphone or headphone with built in mic on it).
The phone mfgs soldered a wire from pin 1 to pin 9 I'm every single one of usbC powered phones.
This made the power adapters able to be plugged in no matter which side of the adapter connector is facing (up or down)
not a problem if your phone has a headphone jack.
For those who don't boy are you faced with a huge problem.
Why? Because pin 1 & 9 connected screws up the (l & r) polarity of
many many head phone connections
There are 2 ways for phone mfgs to handle the usbc stereo audio out.
L R common Ground & LR Independent ground & anybody s guess on the mono or stereo mic
pin choice fir each mfgs phone.
You must find an
(usb/hp jack adapter) that is compatable with your phone.
There are basically
4 common pin out configurations used by the
USB C to head phone mini jack
Adapter mfgs
Then a headphone that is compatible with your adapter.
Good luck because it's hard to find all of the desirable quality components in one store to test this out.
The workaround,
Get a Samsung dex mobile to big flat-screen conversion box.
Hook it up and use the headphone out from the TV and use the media dashboard of BOTH DEX & TV to configure the contraption to use the TV Sound.
You still won't have any vocal monitor of your voice when recording but that's because the apps have their own rigid no customization at all.
You might get lucky and find a combination that works

@@jenuds Thank You, nice video, I have posted alot on Smule & Starmaker, I wasn't aware of the 8 or 9 If one of them or both allows you to monitor your voice with effects in the mix while you are recording & use the phones mic, then that will solve the issue. I believe it does do that even with extra mic is ok as long as the latency is handled then it's a winner.
@@itzlikethatforsure9130 V8 sounds card is on of the budget live sound card with different kinds and the sound quality are also different. Anyway bot v8 and V9 sound cards- on recording or streaming set up, you can monitor both your vocals and background music.
How about in party rooms of starmaker? My v9 doesnt work when i que and sing. No effect at all.
I have tried it. There is vocal effects. Try lowering your background music to 40 and your vocal to 60.

You mentioned in one of your reply that if you use a Micro USB cable then there is no need to turn on Bluetooth. That means the source of music from the phone App will travel along that single cable to the V8 and to your headphone. At the same time that same cable will allow the recording data to travel from the Mixer to the phone (as a recorded song).In other words that single Micro USB cable allow data to travel in both direction (Input and Output at the same time). Is that possible?
Great question. First of all V8 has no switch for turning on or off the Bluetooth. V9 has Switch so if you want to use bluetooth connection, make sure to turn it on. When I said connecting a micro usb to 3.5 mm which is for v8 ( 3.5 mm TRS on both ends for v9), this means music is from a different device to be connected to the accompany or background music input of v8- meaning 3.5 mm connected to that device then the other end the micro usb is connected to the accompany or background music of the v8. Now you will need another micro usb to 3.5mm connect to the device or phone your going to use for recording or streaming - you connect micro USB this time to Live 1 or 2 of v8 then other end the 3.5mm to connect to the device or phone you are going to use for recording or streaming. This would be the set up if you are going to use Song from different source other than songs from Smule.

Try nyo po mic volume half from the max, then echo sobra kalahati, then Bass at treble kalahati. Most of the time ganyan setting ko po. Pero gusto nyo pong mas mayeffect taasan nyo lang po ang echo.

Opps so sorry. Let me repeat what I said. Try to set mic volume at least halfway from the max then echo over the half like 2:00 o’clock, then Bass and Treble just half from the max. Most of the time this is my setting for singing. However if you want more reverb - you may turn the echo more higher.
So far I have not experience a big delay for recording however for live streaming, yes there is a delay.

Yes you can use accompaniment stored from your computer. Any sound card you can do that. Audio would be the same. However since different manufacturer it could result in different audio quality as well.

Personal choice between V9 and V8, I’ll go for V9. So far I only tested 1 kind of V9 and I like the audio quality. On the other hand I have tested a few different kinds of V8 and some of them doesn’t sound good.
How about guitar and headset connected?
Guitar can be connected to the music or background music of the sound card then headset to the headset input of the sound card

Why do you connect the soundcard with Bluetooth while you already have it connected to your phone? Shouldn't your phone just recognize the soundcard like any other normal input device or microphone? This seems like a unnecessary step to me?
Good catch. Yes you can disconnect the Red cable and it should be connected to the sound card.

I belive the heaset and earphone ports are not exactly the same. headset includes a mic port and an audio out pair of signals. Earphone lacks the mic
Correct. I used a wrong terminology “it doesn’t matter”. For some external speaker it doesn’t work once it’s connected to the headset port. I tried using an earphone without mic and it works. I am actually hoping to make a video of that.

Are you using iOS coz of it is, lightning audio adapter could be the issue. If you are using android - make sure it’s properly plugged in and try using different cords.
