      Don’t know if you noticed on the video on the foot cam, but even at the slower steady double bass licks he was using double strokes for most the entire song, first one ive ever seen do doubles at a speed in which it’s easier to do single strokes

    I know the drum playthrough is ideal for your channel but if you get the chance in your own time you've gotta check out the full song with vocals for the pauses to make sense 👌👍

    So cool, I saw this guy 10 years ago in the basement rehearsal room “red gates” as an administrator, and every free minute he studied and practiced his machine-gun blast bits, and now I see him on the Andrew channel, I'm so proud of him 🤘

      My uncle used to play with upside down sticks when he was in his band. I asked him why back in the day and he said he liked the sound of it.

    Passion and determination will get you anywhere.
    I remember a story about a guitarist (learning guitarist).....he practiced a certain song for a year or two. He finally nailed it. Come to find out......the song was played with TWO guitars!

    I enjoy this type of music. That being said, some drummers for this type of music just play fast and its very dull. I love this drummer and the drummer for Lorna Shore. They use the fills as well as cymbal work on top of the double bass and blast beats. Love it.

    This dude is unbelievable. Cool thing to note how much bass plays into the song as well, even with the insane drums it still sounded a bit open/empty without all of the heavy resonance

    Correct. You pronounced his name just right. Yep, it was one-handed gravity blast. Also Stick are reverse grip. Slow part in the end - it was breakdown, where Vocalist perform most

      It's american thing.
      They read them always:
      Track title - Artist/Band
      So if it's "Slaughter to Prevail - Demolisher" for them it's always Slaughter to Prevail by Demolisher.

    I love how evgeny uses his sticks backwards for the heavier sound. I don’t drum myself but I believe it does do that.

      Vinnie Paul used to play custom sticks that had no tips at all rather than play regular sticks upside down. He wasn't the most technical drummer but damn did he hit hard.

      @@AndrewRooneyDrums Don Caballero has an amazing drummer who plays upside down sticks. There's nothing to react to as far as i know (no quality live shows on youtube or playthroughs), but in your own time i definitely recommend checking out the first couple of albums. He's a unique player. The band is basically designed to allow him to show off the whole time.

Alex Terrible (vocals) has the lowest scream / growl that i have ever herd. This song is just an absolute banger. and the drums sound even better Imo on top of the track. just masterfully played

    He was the first drummer I noticed is holding the sticks backwards? just compared to how most people do it. Guess others have done this also, been trying to check out how many other drummers do this, I never noticed this before him, It still Amazes me the amount of talented people out there in the world

    I've got an extreme drummer that I don't think you've done yet, and he's one of the most influential out there: Derek Roddy. He's best known for his work with Hate Eternal and Nile, but these days he mostly does clinic work if I remember correctly. He's also one of the most down to earth, reasonable, no-bullshit musicians I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with.

    I'm not a drummer but this is really cool and makes sense for the actual song which I recommend the official video of Demolisher from slaughter to prevail because it will make the drum part make more sense on how its played. Anyhoo happy listening:)

    I agree with his drumming is like the Olympics. To get to my fastest double kick speed it too me 2 years of 3 hr days drumming that I even got to master the swivel technique to match my speed. And if you had a few days off you could feel then strain of trying to keep up.

    STP is the band. 'Demolisher' is the song name. Fun fact: Evgeny plays with the sticks upside down so he's actually holding the heads of the sticks and the butts of the sticks are the ones actually hitting the heads

    Blows my mind this drummer plays with his sticks backwards. I’ve tried it just out of curiosity, that is so uncomfortable and feels so bizarre

      What do you mean sorry? He told the sticks the wrong way round? and uses the “handle” to hit the skins or he holds them in like marching grip?

    that breakdown is just 120bpm, nothing crazy (well technically 119.79 according to reaper but ill just round it to 120)
