it does make me wonder how many people even knew the linage of House Longwaters by the time of Bobby given Jamie doesn't seem to care about there claims of dragonblood.
We know too little about the offshoot families of the great houses, Karstarks, Lannetts, or different branches of Arryn, and we don't even know if there's cadet branches/offshoots of the Tyrells, Martells, or Tullys (Officially, the Baratheons have 2 cadet branches, Roberts "family" in King's Landing and Stannis' family on Dragonstone).
There are so many, there are possibly another two houses in the stormlands who could be off shoots of House Baratheon, but it is not clear in the text how old the house are so they could be Durrandun Offshoots
@@WorldOfWesterosYeah, houses Wensington and Bolling. I don't think either is of Baratheon though. Theo Bolling, the earliest known member of house Bolling, died approx 49 AC, so it wouldn't be enough time to shed the name of Baratheon which was founded around the time of Aegon's conquest around 0 AC, and just look at how long the Karstarks have kept their Stark roots loud and clear or the Lannetts of Lannister, 1000+ years old, yet there still is the clear familial name. And it wouldn't be enough time for the shame of bastardy (as the reversed colours and bend sinister on the arms seems to indicate) to lessen enough to be married off to a daughter of a lordly house, as was the case of Theo Bolling to Eleanor Costayne. For House Wensington, that's a way different can of worms since it was first mentioned as following Stannis in the North, so no telling how old the house is. But for the same naming reason as I posted above, I think it most likely it descends from house Durrandon. Funnily enough, neither houses' arms mentions the stag to be crowned, which house Baratheon and Durrandon both kept.
For the watch !! The lord commander !! Here here for the brothers in black!!! Cheers 🍻 to brother BITTERSTEEL !!! May the blessing of the old gods and the new shine upon all those comment and the ma who makes this wonderful content !! I’ve never heard of this house !!
I would highly recommend the game of thrones mod for crusader kings 3 if you have the time, full of bits of lore and small canon houses that you don't really see anywhere else
I first heard about them in a theory video about young griff. The theorist said that rennifer long waters might be working with Varys as the blackfyres had Velaryon ancestry
Its crazy bc the blackfyre line is the mixture of Aegon III line and Viserys II line. It happened to become an issue bc Aegon was heir and Daemon Blackfyre was too much of a legend to just ignore. I think GRRM added this plotline to show a Blackfyre situation lite where its handled decently by the crown. Jon Waters was a great Knight who gained well respect- i wonder if Daemon looked up to him in a way as kin ?
Daemon was givin the kings blade by aegon the 4....sooo that kinda dint help it. Everyone knowledge daemon bcz he was loved plus he was Givin the kings sword by the king, many thought just by doin that it implied Daemon was gonna be the chosen hier.
"Yes, I almost mistook you for Aegon the Conqueror,"-Kingslayer
Longwaters laughing because they survived Bobby B's extermination of Targ blood
I mean he’s Targaryen blood himself(from Rhaelle and Orys).
Beside he only HATES those related to Aerys and Rhaegar.

Elaena Targaryen is the most interesting looking Targ.

For the The Red Viper of Dorne Prince Oberyn Martell of Sunspear.
Jon Waters seems like a potential wrinkle to Jon Snow.
Jon Longwaters, Jon Snowfire
I first heard about them in a theory video about young griff. The theorist said that rennifer long waters might be working with Varys as the blackfyres had Velaryon ancestry
What's the music you use at the end?
Also hope Longwaters gets more coverage in supplemental material like Blood and Fire
8th to take the 🖤
Laenors boys!!!
Currently fighting lots of Crownland troops as i try to capture King's Landing in Total War mod.
it still amazes me that the Total War mod and Crusader kings mod are miles better than anything that has officially been licensed
