    So, the next-gen Maserati GranTurismo will offer an EV version badged as Folgore (Folgore will be the Maserati EV sub-brand name), they claim over 1200 hp from a 3-motor setup, 0 to 60 in 2.6, and a top speed over 200 mph, 1200 hp and only 2.6 (0 to 60 time), either Maserati is sandbagging or is it just too heavy, remember how quick the Tesla Model S Plaid (3-motor setup) is, that’s the benchmark for EV car, GMC HUMMER for EV large pickups, clearly, it’s not on a dedicated EV platform since there will be an ICE version of it, it seems like what Dodge is planning for the next-gen RWD sedan and coupe, but instead of the V6 turbo like Maserati, Chrysler Group has an I6 turbo, battery pack placed in the center reminds me of the Chevy Volt T shape battery pack

      haha. the range (or lack thereof) of EVs is a complete non issue unless your daily commute to work is more than the full range of the car (ie more than 500km per day). its so easy to just plug it in at night and its fully charged in the AM just like your iPhone. And if your commute to work is more than that, maybe its time to switch jobs or house, not car.

    Pissed.They are asking 200,000 Euros for the Folgore, and for what? If you are going electric, be competitive!. Next the claimed 995 Ft. lbs of torque figure will be reduced (like they first reduced 1200 hp to 1200 installed hp and finally to 760 hp) because even with 760 hp and 995 ft./lbs, it should perform at the low 2's 0-60, not 2.7!. My Taycan which weighs the same (5000 lbs) does 2.6 officially and reaches 2.4 at full charge at a prepared drag facility. It has 616 hp (765 hp for a second at the beginning phase of launch control and 770 ft. lbs of torque. For the money they are asking, I can save myself $70,000 and get the Tesla Model S plaid with a true 1040 hp and 0-60 in two seconds or less! Stallantis is delusional and insults by lying and then covering it up by 'installed hp power' (400 hp each motor but only 760 hp can reach the tarmac) If I am going to spend 200,000 plus dolllar on a back alley ferrari with open cola can depreciation, it (Maserati) better invest in an operating system that puts down the potential 1200 hp like Rimacor Lucid Air Sapphire. But they do not want to spend the money on the car but rather on lying advertising instead to see what they can get or to put it mildly, 'to properly place themselves in the market'. I hope this blows up in their face.

      the maserati owner is one of the least rational of the car enthusiasts and many will sign up to purchase this beautiful car despite its flaws. right up there with alfa people. but they've got passion, will give 'em that.

      @@romulus_ I still may switch my deposit from a 296 GTB to this beauty if real road tests convince me it is better performing than my taycan. I have learned to trust my taycan in making evasive maneuvers from going faster than other drivers can predict. I hope that with even more expected punch, the Folgore can handle and brake adequately.
