    Same here. We were replacing a lid switch and couldn't get the cabinet back on. In other videos we watched with this machine, they just said line the tabs to the holes to get it back on but didn't mention the lip on the front of the frame needed to go up inside the cabinet at the front. Thank you for demonstrating this so clearly. Boy were we so glad to find you. All is fixed and I don't have to worry about not having the money to buy my son's Halloween costume.

    Poor, single female here. I appreciate this video. From the bottom of my heart I thank you. I replaced the lid switch myself, because I couldn't afford to pay a repair man $150. (the part was $30ish) I couldn't get the cabinet so sit properly. I've cut my fingers on the metal (thank God for Tetanus shots)and I've dropped the lid on my fingers twice. I've screamed from pain 6 times. I lost count of how many times I've screamed from frustration. I've sworn so much that I've created new 4 letter words.

    Thank you Reggie!! I struggled for 45 mins trying to get the cover back on my Kenmore 80 Series washer after a repair. I appreciate the fact that you didn't get it on right the first time (like everybody else watching this video) and how to correct when that happens. Also, great lighting...I could see everything you were doing perfectly. And thank you for pointing out the pressure hose... I would have never thought to make sure that was not being pinched. Watched your video and 2 tries later, it was on! Thank you again!

    Omg thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!! I was trying to get my whirlpool shell back on and talk about a lot of cussing! This video saved me!! Thanks so much for the detailed video. Every one of the notches were flat and needed to be reset upright. It still was a pain, but at least I was able to finally get that shell on, cause I had about given up. Have a great day!!!

    Dude I been messin with this stupid dryer for 45 mins... and that was after I found the problem (baby sock in the pump) I started puttin everything back together... job went smooth made lil mess but not too bad... everything was as close to perfect as a man could ask for... now let's talk a min, I'm an auto technician and don't know anything but cars... I can take the most complex engine and do anything you need done.. but this freakin washer has drove me crazy cause I could not figure out how to put the outter shell back on... so seriously thank you very much and I know I may sound stupid and when it come to certain things I guess I am lol... but man thank you for this video cause I would have been out here for lord knows how long because it was gonna be done and workin tonight... period!!! Well I didn't know the front panel went under that piece so I kept swappin the hole thing either to the top or bottom and it felt like it was goona fall apart... all flimsy and definitely not right 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it is perfect now and I'm goin to bed....
    P.s. with clothes washing HAAA!!!! Y'all have a good night and again brother THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!

    Love the tips and knowledge you share with all of us. Have to say you have taught me so much. I'll keep watching. Out of curiosity if you make a house call and the washer shutoff valves are old and crusty do you turn the water main off? I have worked in a few homes that the shutoffs looks old and crusty and don't want to take a chance so I turn off the whole house. Making a call later to an old house with stuck valves!

    • @LeanOnYourRep
      @LeanOnYourRep  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Appreciate the love thank you for watching my channel. If the main water valve is accessible then yes that would be a good safety precaution typically if the valves are questionable and bad I don't hook up and I recommend they called the apartment maintenance team or I refer them to a handyman I know. Only time I've done this is when I see someone cut a water hose or left one hose on the valve. that's usually a red flag

    Thanks so much for this! I definitely let fly a few (or more than a few!) cuss words this evening, and we've given up for the night, after trying to get our wrap back on for more than an hour. We'll try again tomorrow. We did have some bent tabs which I straightened, and I did finally figure that the front lip needs to go under the frame, and we tried that method a few times, but then in the back it seems like we are not back far enough to drop onto the back tabs. And when we try to push back more, the front rides up and out from under the frame. Maybe that means we are never quite getting fully under it.. I'll try to tip it more like you showed here and see if we can get it tomorrow. I'll send an update

    • @fisherkingbat
      @fisherkingbat 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      A follow up to this, I got it! The thing I wasn't doing when putting it on was having the lid open so I could see what was going on at that front edge. Having the lid open I could see it was getting hung up a bit when I got to the frame. Giving it a little kick got the front lip of wrap underneath the frame, and then it dropped on fine, just had to push in the back sides and push down some to get the back of the sides down in place. Thanks a ton for your video!
