I understand and appreciate not wanting to alienate his Muslim friends. However, not once has this part mentioned that Islam is still a false religion. Islam denies the deity of Christ. Why not present the gospel in every part of this series if you know your Muslim friends will listen? This sounded more like sympathizing than anything else.
I think that one point to take in mind is the swearing competition (mubhahallah) which Muhammad advocated to the Christians to see whose God is superior as a case of the Christian and Islamic views of swearing. The Christians of Medina refused to engage with Muhammad because it was simply against the biblical code of swearing by anything or anyone, not even God Himself. This is very different from the Islamic view of taqqiya, in which the Muslim (Muhammad himself being the first by logic) is encouraged to say one thing to non-Muslims but can in fact do something else totally to safeguard personal and religious interests.
Sorry, what does the invention of gunpowder have to do with whether Islam commands terrorism or not? Muhammad himself said "I have been made victorious with terror" (Sahih al-Bukhari 2977).

The Standard Islamic Narrative is admittedly dead. You should bring on Jay Smith. The actual origins of Islam are far more fascinating. There's so much From the existence of a syriac hymnal (one handed to Uthman by Archbishop Gabriel of Jerusalem, called a Quran or recitation) in the Quran to the non-existence of mecca at the time, to the presence of images on coins well past Muhammad's life, there is no reason to believe the Standard Islamic narrative. Even the name Muhammad is not a name but a title that was applied to Jesus originally. There are early coins that seem to indicate this. Look into it at least, foreign, more immediate sources exist outside of Islamic sources that corroborate these things.
It kind of goes like this: He lays a hand on your wife and He'll have a pocket full.of stars... Once you make mecca to Moon-City I'm IS, it's near Beersheeba then we'll be counting. 😢
It’s a lot of information to cram into a few segments. I Wish this could be a mini-series with a few additional subject matter experts to contrast apologetic styles/information.
There are plenty of things that are wrong with Islam, but if you can't understand why a lot of people find it compelling then it's going to be very difficult for you communicate your objections in a way that is actually comprehensible to the people who hold that worldview.
@@TheAlMaidahInitiativeRight! One cannot just come across as a naysayer lacking knowledge and prideful, if one hopes to reach Muslims’ hearts. You’re right.

Are you saying that Mohammad was ok with "the people of the Book"? Does that mean that the verses in the Q that call us "the worst of creatures" or the ones that say Mohammed won't "take the life or property of the unbeliever if they convert or pay the Gizia"
Listening to this I have the following remark. Around 29:20 minute, you both talk about that for the muslims, they view the Qu'ran as the direct word of Allah and not of Muhammed. That is correct I agree with that. But, still when we look at the evidence and we do a big dive in the hadiths and tasirs. They show when, where, why the verses *aya's of the Qu'ran are coming down. And I could argue 40% of the Qu'ran is about Muhammed. And therefore the Qu'ran is mostly about the experience, sayings, the arguments, the opinions, of the Prophet Muhammed. So, they relate context about him.
There is nothing good about Islam. I think October 7th should have cemented that on everyone's mind. This guy has swallowed the kool aid. You guys seem to not be questioning anything he said.
He stated that the wife of Muhammad was Christian and that he was encouraged by a Christian priest. Muhammad's wife was Roman Catholic as well as the priest. They were not Christians.

"The Quran's honoring of Jesus with examples from the Quran: Birth of Jesus and his praise in the Quran: The Quran mentions in Surah Al Imran (verses 45-47) the story of the birth of Jesus, peace be upon him, and honors him as a spirit from God and His word, and one of those brought near to God. His message to the Children of Israel: In Surah Al-Ma'idah (verse 110), the Quran mentions Jesus calling the Children of Israel to worship God and believe in Him, and that he brought signs from his Lord. His miracles: The Quran mentions several miracles of Jesus, peace be upon him, such as reviving the dead by God's permission and speaking in the cradle. Emphasis on his truthfulness and mission: In Surah An-Nisa (verse 171), Jesus and his message are honored by affirming his truthfulness and stating that he is a messenger and a word from God revealed to Mary. These examples illustrate how the Quran honors Jesus, peace be upon him, and positively mentions him as a messenger and prophet from God."

Prophet Muhammad was prophesied to come for all gentiles in Isaiah 42. It says he would bring the idol worshippers out of darkness which he did and bring them the magnified Law in verse 21. In verse 11 it talks about the villages of Kedar who will rejoice and the people of Sela. Kedar is the son of Ishmael in Genesis 25:13. Isaiah 42 is prophesying the coming of Jesus. Kedar is only being mentioned because though they do not worship the God of Israel they remain faithful to their god whereas Israel always strays. It’s for comparative reasons. The Bible strictly points to Jesus and Yahweh. No other God but Yahweh. No other Messiah but Jesus. This chapter also cannot be about Islam - in the very beginning it’s talking about a messenger that God puts His Spirit upon and that’s impossible because Allah does not have a Spirit and in turn can not be referring to Muhammad as the servant receiving the Spirit. v 1-2

As a westerner in a western country, the level of danger is pretty minimal.
For ex Muslims who are now Christians in Muslim countries, these are the people who gave real risks and need much more courage than we do.

Let's go!! So excited for this!
Another recommendation to get Jay Smith on. Ive taken a few of his classes on Islam and the material is devastating to Islam.
Are you aware that the guest indirectly refuted Jay Smith in the early part of this conversation?
@@kenid4144 He disagreed with Jay Smith, he didn't refute him. Jay Smith debated David Wood on this topic years ago and Jay clearly won that debate.
@@DankusMemicus Well, we can play the semantics game and I can also say Jay Smith disagreed with DWood, but Dwood won the debate. It's your word against mine. But if the analogy provided by the guest if valid, then he renders the Jay Smith position very weak, if not invalid. FYI, I can understand why the historical argument seems strong, but if you've studied the huge volumes of Islamic sources, you would have to concede the outstanding genius of whoever made up Muhamed if he wasn't a historical figure....even JK Rowling will need to relearn everything she knows about fiction writing!
@@kenid4144 The guest also thought that "gunpowder wasn't invented yet" was a smart thing to say in response to people who claim Islam teaches terrorism. That's laughable.
@@DankusMemicus We can both agree that he either doesn't know what terrori-m is or he's making the same mistake Western people make EVERYTIME - define a word ONLY from a modern Western perspective! Who needs gunpowder in the 7th century to define terror??? Really laughable!
Really excited for this episode! Praise the Lord!
"Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son." 1 John 2:22
Check out Jay Smith he does a great detail explanation on Islam
So far this guy is making Muhammad look like a nice guy. Which HE WAS NOT!
Sorry, what does the invention of gunpowder have to do with whether Islam commands terrorism or not? Muhammad himself said "I have been made victorious with terror" (Sahih al-Bukhari 2977).
Yeah the gunpowder thing made no sense to me.
Right! Amen. That was a stupid argument. Did he forget about SWORDS and Spears?!! Lol.

Fascinating conversation
It’s a lot of information to cram into a few segments. I Wish this could be a mini-series with a few additional subject matter experts to contrast apologetic styles/information.

You made Islam sound good. I disagree.
There are plenty of things that are wrong with Islam, but if you can't understand why a lot of people find it compelling then it's going to be very difficult for you communicate your objections in a way that is actually comprehensible to the people who hold that worldview.

Have you guys listened to any of The King's Hall podcast series about the Crusades?
Far superior. They need to have Raymond Ibrahim on Cultish.
Someone told me once that everyone's biggest struggle is loving their neighbor. Its clear to me that this guy is doing his best to give a charitable representation of Islam in that pursuit, but the comments tell me that this is not why people clicked on the video. A question to everyone who watched this to see Muslim bashing: is your heart and mind focused on seeing the lost saved?
Amen! I am also quite shocked at the comments and am wondering why people are so upset with him trying to explain Islamic beliefs sensitively. No one responds well to their personal values and beliefs being attacked or blatantly being labelled as demonic. If this is the way people are approaching Muslims then it is extremely unproductive and problematic.
We need to preach to muslims more.We need to educate our people to answer muslim questions

There is no partiality with Christ. You are with Him or against Him. When speaking to a muslim you must keep that in mind. They are unbelievers and enemy of Christ. There is no fellowship.
Exactly! The whole of Babylon has been used by Satan to corrupt true Christianity and inspire other demonic beliefs!
What are you going on about? Roman Catholicism did not exist until 1054 AD when it split off from the Eastern Church. Muhammad's wife was a Gnostic Christian, a heretic.

"The Quran's honoring of Jesus with examples from the Quran:
Birth of Jesus and his praise in the Quran: The Quran mentions in Surah Al Imran (verses 45-47) the story of the birth of Jesus, peace be upon him, and honors him as a spirit from God and His word, and one of those brought near to God.

The Catholic Church started Islam
That's just as silly as when an imam claimed that Alexander the Great founded the Catholic Church in 400 BC.
These are the idol worshipping Ishmaelites who would be taken out of darkness and start to praise the God of Abraham through God's Prophet Muhammad. @@kenid4144
We never said Isaiah 42 8s corrupted. Thank God this chapter is so obvious that its talking about the descendents of Ishmael who would be taken out of idol worship in Arabia and given the magnified Law as prophesied in verse 21. The villages of Kedar has absolutely nothing to do with Israel. He's the son of Ishmael
@@JesusisaMuslim What if you're saying Isaiah 42 is NOT corrupted just because you want to use it prove your theory? Can you provide any authentic source or proof that Isaiah 42 is not a corrupted chapter? What are the non-corrupted parts of the Bible, according to Allah?
@@kenid4144
So you cannot debunk my argument. Not surprising. Bye
