Nascar's largest margin of victory happened at Darlington I think, with Ned Jarrett taking the win with a 14 lap lead over Buck Baker in the 1965 Southern 500.
Memorable moments for Darlington: 2004 Southern 500 (last Southern 500 until 2009, last Darlington fall race until 2015, first Darlington race under the lights, only Darlington race in November) 2003 Carolina Dodge Dealers 400 (Kurt Busch v Ricky Craven) 2020 The Real Heroes 400 (first race back from the shutdown that shall not be named) 2020 Toyota 500 (Chase Elliott flips Kyle Busch the bird) 2021 Goodyear 400 (first NASCAR race on Mother's Day in a hot minute [definitely the first in my time watching the sport])
The 2020 race was also the first 400-mile race at Darlington since 2004, won by Jimmie Johnson. Plus, the most recent Mother's Day weekend event at the track was 2014, won by Kevin Harvick. Were you watching Nascar during the time the Southern 500 was a Mother's Day weekend race from 2005-2014?
