I think this was the most interesting thing, along with edzel talking about how its more corporate. I guess as they grew they are forced to be more structured etc Looked to me like Luke wished it could go back to how it was, he didn't look particularly happy. Poor Luke... Mentioning the "corporate-ness" of LTT have made his job less fun. The last thing I would want is for system building and tech to lose its fun. I hope he doesn't burn himself out. All the LTT guys for that matter. This is easily my favorite TH-cam channel.
I think this was the most interesting thing, along with edzel talking about how its more corporate. I guess as they grew they are forced to be more structured etc
Looked to me like Luke wished it could go back to how it was, he didn't look particularly happy. Also he hasnt done many projects which he gets super excited about.

That happens to every company. Once the money start to roll in you start needing to do things like get managers and HR etc. The company I work for started out small now that it's gotten fairly big (about 400 employees strong) it's completely corporate and the vibe is not the same and like Luke said it's not that fun anymore.

Lots of people don't show up in any of the videos (even on superfun) and work for him. I'd guess that its because they either don't want to, or it'd might be out of place to throw them in with a video, or someone thinks that we like (exclusively) the original "cast" if you will.
Editors, business people, ... just what is needed to run a video production company.

So you'd effectively be limiting your choices of employees between those who do like it, and those who have no objection to it (they also like it).
But hey, if you want to reveal within the first 15 minutes of meeting you that you are a sick, twisted individual, then by all means, ask that questions, you'll know the good employees from the bad ones, the exceptional (read: trustworthy) ones will be leaving though...

It's personal preference, I don't get offended, but how can I take a prospective employer seriously if he asks me questions about irrelevant topics, let alone something as taboo as beastiality? Judging my reaction will be of no benefit to you, as I have already said, you'd have fumbled an interview.

@j, not so different after all, joking is one thing, being unprofessional in an interview another. I find that there is a clear difference between humor and asking "touchy" questions to get a cold read on my personality, Also HR gives no indication whatsoever of the work environment that you'll be plunged in, but if they can keep it polite and not offensive, I'm impressed. There is no such thing as the perfect job or the perfect employer, not even when you are self employed. You get to do what you like, but there will always be someone who tries to ruin your day, just because they think they are entitled to.
And by the way, that entitlement to *ask such a thing (audacity) indicates to me, that there will be no regard for your personal life. As infringements can be seen as early as the interview. We don't differ that much in opinion, I geuss I have just been around the wrong HR crowd for long enough to know what to look out for.
