@@ponz- That's a major reason why each Rescue should have their own houses with the Rescue truck, the Reserve Unit, the Collapse Rescue truck and the Technical Rescue truck together.
Excellent video. Didn't know there was a "Collapse Rescue 1". Do they respond to other emergency situations other than a collapse?. Probably do I'd think. Keep safe John! You got 2 waves. Awesome! Edit. Learned answer to my ? In other comments thanks!
From my understanding their main response is building collapses also cars versus structures I can also imagine there's other incidents that they will respond to that require a certain tools that are on a collapse unit
What other units are at that station besides Ladder and collapse Rescue? (I'm not sure if that Battalion Chief unit was from the station or from another so I didn't list it)
I believe it’s because the collapse rescue is staffed by members of ladder 25 so the respond together so the crew is always together by the time they get to a call
Defund the Fire Department as we need our tax dollars spent on more pressing issues. NYC can survive very well and tax dollars saved on a volunteer Fire Department.
@@THEMAJESTIRIUM1 Defund the fire (and police) department? The person/persons that comes up with that idea is usually the one that will call them first in an emergency. The majority of fire departments in America are volunteer and some are scraping to get by with the aging equipment and limited funding. As for defunding law enforcement, My Uncle has seen social workers, therapists, psychiatrists and psychologists on duty being asked by their clients relatives for help in a mental situation and their answer? Call the police while they sit in their air conditioned offices drinking coffee or shopping while " visiting clients". And guess who shows up before the cops? the paramedics with NO protection ( except bulletproof vests issued to paramedics in certain areas of Los Angeles County such as Compton).
WELL, GUESS WHAT CHRISTOPHER, TJ AND THE CREW WILL BE MOVING IN THERE VERY, VERY, VERY SOON FOR A EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME AS THEIR HOUSE UNDERGOES EXTENSIVE RENOVATIONS! HAHAHA! THANKS SO MUCH.....
Was backing in carefully last night :) I never knew there was a "Collapse Rescue" i thought it was Rescue 1 visiting :)

nice catch 👍👍👍

Wow Collapse rescue and rescue 1 don’t share the same firehouse.
I don’t think the ever have. The house is to small unfortunately
R1 quarters barely fits R1, they have to back in at an angle to get the truck into the bay.

NO, THE RESCUE HAS NO ROOM FOR THE COLLPASE UNIT BUT EVENTUALLY THEY WILL WHEN THEY FIND A NEW HOUSE IN THE FUTURE.....THANKS SO MUCH.....
@@THEMAJESTIRIUM1 All FDNY Rescues should have their own new, modern station like RES2CUE.

Playing follow the leader
WELL, THIS UNITS ALWAYS GOES 2ND WITH ANY UNIT TRANSPORTING IT.....THANK YOU SO MUCH! ;o)
You just hang out around Nyc Firehouses all the time?
WHAT?
Why is ladder 25 waiting for collapse rescue? Don’t the chauffeur suppose to know where he’s suppose to go? And that’s slowing up the response
I think they wanted to respond together. That's something the FDNY does all the time.
@@subjectc7505 no they don’t do that all the time…
