Thanks! They’re always fun to see. I’ve finally organized all the footage I’ve gathered over the past 2 years, so there should be more compilations coming soon!
Thank you! I really like the new R1, too. This channel might be a little different from the others (which we also watch and really like!) because my 7-year-old son is a big part of it. The channel happened very organically--I started out taking videos for him, then started getting into it myself. The first couple videos I made mainly so we could watch them easily on our tv, and figured why not make them public. The response has been great!
Thank you Triple J Fire for another great video. I see by the caption that this video is 11 months old, but it is one that I haven't seen before. I commend you for your steady hand on the camera. I guess that is the work of Mom. Some video cameras in other videos get Jerked so that it is extremely hard to watch them. Thank you again & you are to be commended for your camera work.
Thank you! It’s a combination of good internal stabilization these days (I actually prefer to shoot on iPhone over my “real” camera!) and editing out the lousy parts!
Again I really enjoy your videos. As for your child's enthusiasm; I was the same way & at 16 joined my local Volunteer Fire Department and in 1983 became the Department Fire Chief. Although no longer active at 75, I most definitely enjoy your videos and hope that your child keeps the enthusiasm about all things Fire Department.
@@yukonjak05 I’ve never seen it, but doesn’t necessarily mean it doesn’t happen. I think it’s usually just too chaotic and unless NYPD was there watching it happen, wouldn’t be able to even find the drivers. I have heard on the scanner about units being delayed on a box because there’s a car blocking the driveway to leave quarters, but never heard the follow up to how they eventually got the car out of the way.
Not a stupid question! There is one Rescue 1 in NYC, in Manhattan. There is also a Collapse Rescue 1. Each borough has both a rescue and collapse rescue- Brooklyn is 2, Bronx 3, Queens 4, and Staten Island is 5.
I wish I knew the full answer to this! Blue is only allowed on the rear of vehicles in NYS. Blue has better visibility against red/white/amber… but I don’t know why R1 has all that blue and other rigs don’t.
It only looks like it on video but not in real life! I think it’s the interaction of the frame rate on the video and the rate of flickering of the lights, which I’m assuming are LED. Happens every time I catch an MTA bus on video! 😂
These rescue chauffeurs for FDNY are the best out there
lot's of training before you can drive for real
Drive it like u stole it..
yeah the best at BLOWING REDLIGHTS, such assholes
R1's chauffeurs are the best.
Best Unit in the whole department
That light and siren package on the new rescues is sexy as hell.
I hate blue lights on fire apparatus but it’s so beautiful I’ll make an exception
You can tell it’s rescue 1 without even seeing the truck with the amount of air horn they use but I love it it makes New York New York
"Somebody's gotta do the dirty work." -Rescue 1
Welcome to New York City where the friendly fire trucks say "get the hell out of my way" at 130 decibels!
My favorite thing about the city!
Amazing trucks, amazing catches. Keep up the great work

Thank you Triple J Fire. I really enjoy Rescue 1 videos. Please keep up the awesome work.
Thank you! They're not too far away from where we live, so we try to catch them as much as possible!
Rescue 1 rules.....thanks for posting!!
The best rescues in the world
Recently started watching, nice work! Glad to see a newer channel doing NY buffing. I really like the look of the new Rescue 1.

I especially like the part where the fire truck drove by! You dig?
i also subscribed to your channel
thanks!

Nice camera work great job on how they maneuver through traffic and I thought Boston traffic was bad lol
Thanks! Haha, yeah, midtown/downtown traffic is something else. When we can keep up with a rig on foot you know it's bad!
@@TripleJFire do they ticket drivers if they’re blocking the fire apparatus when they’re on a call

@@LSVIDEOSFIRE I use iMovie (I use a Mac). How about you? I see you have a lot of cool videos on your page!
@@TripleJFire I'm trying to find the best, Im using clipchamp but I need to upgrade. Thanks for info. Keep up the GREAT work!
Hey triple j keep up that midtown magic I also love the new r1 horn it’s really the best and I hope I get a reply
Thanks! Love the R1 horn, too-we can always tell when they’re coming!
A couple of the shots R1 has a federal Q and some don't... Weird
Model of this Master Horn? 🤩🤩🤩
Good question! I think there are only a few manufacturers. I’ll try to find out!
Sounds like the Stutter in that air horn, is worn out!!
I agree, if that’s the new electronic horn, it sounds terrible. Get the stutter back!!
Not from the US so sorry if this is a stupid question, but are there multiple Rescue 1 trucks or is there just one?

Why does that bus in the beginning have red and blue flashing lights?? Just curious

Ans of course the air horn tune gets ruined.
