It goes beyond that The look of her character translates very well into live action. Plus, people who never seen the animated shows can instantly tell that Bo-Katan is a seriously important character. I really hope we see allot more of Bo-Katan. From the fact that the rumoured fan castings were herself, Temeura Morrison, and Rosario Dawson and two of the three being confirmed to be accurate (with the third confirmed to appear by this week’s episode) it seems incredibly likely that it will happen. I kinda hope they dub her with Ashley’s voice though, Ray Park’s few lines in the Phantom Menace and Solo were dubbed, and most of Mando’s lines seem to be dubbed in by the looks of the behind the scenes stuff, so it’s not like it’s unprecedented.

Then the wig is most appropriate considering the timeline. Rebels takes place during the same time as Return of the Jedi. The Mandalorian takes place 5 years after that.
In many ways this Mandalorian/Clone Wars dynamic is coming full circle. After all, Jon Favreau voiced Pre Vizla in the cartoon and look what he's directing.

Her character definitely needs to be part of a major story arc in Mandalorian, since that Dark Saber is really pushing for a big focus on Mandalore. Taking it back from Imperial occupation would be cool. Also yes, Katee definitely should have been Captain Marvel.

I love the contrast with how she says “This is the way” vs the Armorer. The Armorer uses it as an invocation with a finality to it. Bo used it almost in a peaceful, not pleasing but quiet agreement sort of way.
I can’t imagine Dave Filoni discovering Katee all set up in her costume and hearing her with the TRUE CHARACTER’S VOICE 😱😱😍😍 on the set. This must have been a great great moment 😁

I loved both times she said The first time she sounded a bit arrongt, as if she was mocking him, but by the end of the episode, when she said it again, you could really feel the honesty and respect she developed towards Mando. Both deliveries were great! She was amazing in this espisode. I hope she sticks around.
I don't think Mando would be supporting her as mandalore. He is part of the children of the watch, they would be very opposed to anyone not following the true way
That armor really suits her in the episode. I literally open my mouth so wide when she landed on the boat to save Din, I was like, "HEY, I RECOGNIZE THAT HELMET!" And my mouth opened wide again when she mentioned Ahsoka.
Katee, you absolutely killed it. As a die hard SW fan, it's awesome to see this amount of love for the franchise coming from those who are helping to tell more of the story. You guys working on The Mandalorian are all doing great.

@@Angmir There are many single character shows because it limits the costs of the production. If you have many characters not only do you have to pay all of them you increase complications of actors leaving for different life reasons turning it into a difficult mess to manage.
Even watching the episode you can tell that she loves what she's doing. There are many good actors out there, but when the actor really likes the role he/she is doing, you can tell the difference.
Its amazing how much love was put into all of this! Its so refreshing and great to see an actress be so in love with a character that the fans have been so in love with. She did great in the animated shows and it was so great to see the awesome job she did in the Mandalorian!

Like seriously, she even had the nerve, to rub Satine's death in Obi-Wan's face, despite the fact she was the one conspiring with Vizsla and Maul against Satine, going so far as personally slandering her own sister. And don't get me started on Ahsoka, who wittnessed Bo turning a freaking flamethrower on innocent civilians, and still treats her with more trust and respect than she does Obi-Wan. I like the character, I just wish, the writers didn't keep sweeping her past under the rug.

I like the actor, I know her from other stuff. Bo Katan is a cool character, but I genuinely don’t understand why she’s such a popular character. She’s out for herself, participated in brutal murder of innocents(never showed remorse for this either)she out for herself, and selfish. These traits are fine if she’s a villain. But she’s not, she’s just a very egotistical and and unlikeable character. Maybe they will develop her more in the future, but as it stands right now I don’t get why she’s so popular......

I didn’t watch the last season of clone wars because I already didn’t like a lot of what they did with that show, and when they started focusing so much on maul I completely lost interest in the series. I don’t need to either. I’ve seen Bo Katan in plenty of scenes from both of those and she’s not any different from the one in earlier seasons of clone wars. She’s willing to die for her people, not for the greater good. She’s Egotistical, selfish, and cruel. I like Mando, he's a bad ass, but take off the helmet he looks like a Regular Joe. So many Regular Joe's and Julie's can and have been such bad asses in the right circumstances.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this was one of the major positive moments of 2020. Bo-katan looked so fantastic; the armor, the angles, the helm. And they got her powered headband! (Sidenote, how crazy must your hair be that you need a powered piece of tech to keep it in line? Rhetorical, mine is such a hair. Gimme). It's really cool to hear how much the character resonates with Katee, and watching all of the reaction vids out here over the last few days, we see that the audience quite likes her as well :)

I think the issue was her hair is too long. You can even see they had to recut the wig, as it otherwise wouldn't fit in the helmet.

The first time she sounded a bit arrongt, as if she was mocking him, but by the end of the episode, when she said it again, you could really feel the honesty and respect she developed towards Mando. Both deliveries were great!

@@Angmir There are many single character shows because it limits the costs of the production. If you have many characters not only do you have to pay all of them you increase complications of actors leaving for different life reasons turning it into a difficult mess to manage.
Bo katan and ashoka
Even watching the episode you can tell that she loves what she's doing. There are many good actors out there, but when the actor really likes the role he/she is doing, you can tell the difference.
She is so sympathetic and sweet. Bo Katan fits so much to her. I am interested how this character will be developing.
Its amazing how much love was put into all of this! Its so refreshing and great to see an actress be so in love with a character that the fans have been so in love with. She did great in the animated shows and it was so great to see the awesome job she did in the Mandalorian!

Like seriously, she even had the nerve, to rub Satine's death in Obi-Wan's face, despite the fact she was the one conspiring with Vizsla and Maul against Satine, going so far as personally slandering her own sister. And don't get me started on Ahsoka, who wittnessed Bo turning a freaking flamethrower on innocent civilians, and still treats her with more trust and respect than she does Obi-Wan. I like the character, I just wish, the writers didn't keep sweeping her past under the rug.
Good job for casting Katee. You can tell it meant the world to her and she slayed it. The casting in the series has been absolutely fantastic as a whole.

I like the actor, I know her from other stuff. Bo Katan is a cool character, but I genuinely don’t understand why she’s such a popular character. She’s out for herself, participated in brutal murder of innocents(never showed remorse for this either)she out for herself, and selfish. These traits are fine if she’s a villain. But she’s not, she’s just a very egotistical and and unlikeable character. Maybe they will develop her more in the future, but as it stands right now I don’t get why she’s so popular......

I didn’t watch the last season of clone wars because I already didn’t like a lot of what they did with that show, and when they started focusing so much on maul I completely lost interest in the series. I don’t need to either. I’ve seen Bo Katan in plenty of scenes from both of those and she’s not any different from the one in earlier seasons of clone wars. She’s willing to die for her people, not for the greater good. She’s Egotistical, selfish, and cruel. Not morally grey, just a bad person in general, her only loyalty being to her people, who are also generally bad people. She’s not as bad as a lot of characters in Star Wars, but the fact that’s she’s this way, and isn’t even supposed to be a bad guy, just makes her incredibly unlikeable in my eyes, and I genuinely don’t understand why she is so popular.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this was one of the major positive moments of 2020. Bo-katan looked so fantastic; the armor, the angles, the helm. And they got her powered headband! (Sidenote, how crazy must your hair be that you need a powered piece of tech to keep it in line? Rhetorical, mine is such a hair. Gimme).
It's really cool to hear how much the character resonates with Katee, and watching all of the reaction vids out here over the last few days, we see that the audience quite likes her as well :)
