Each of Carl’s appearances as Apollo Creed were excellent. Creed’s character arc is very interesting and enjoyable, especially as he becomes Rocky’s friend and mentor in Rocky III.
My favorite Carl Weathers movie was Predator as a kid. But it’s changed to his portrayal of Apollo in Rocky as I get older I think. Apollo was the antagonist but not the “bad guy”. He was such a great character with real heart and Mr. Weathers just knocked that out of the park with his performance.
