Great video, I have just done something similar recently with my Chigee AIO 5 play. I previously had a Evotech - Peak Design stem mount for my phone. Using the additional Chigee lossless plate I attached a Peak Design universal phone mount plate directly to the lossless plate on the Chigee, which allows me to remove the device when off the bike and still use phone when needed. I still have to either remove the USB cable or directly wired to battery cable but gives the added security of device removal and looks pretty good..👍 Good to see like minded people with great ideas..👍😉
Nice video!!!! I'm waiting for a Chigee AIO 5 Play Motorcycle Car Play review. The fact that you can use the BMW controls for this device makes it amazing, nothing like Carpurride. Thanks for the video :)
Thanks, great video! I have the Chigee AIO-5 Play model mounted with a RAM setup to the left handlebar on my 1250 GSA, because I prefer to keep my Garmin Zumo XT mounted directly to the nav cradle using the Italian adapter. I’ve had it for a few weeks now and it works fine for what I want it to do. It’s just a “dumb” terminal to mirror my iPhone for Apple CarPlay functionality so that my phone can stay in my tank bag or jacket. I run it with the supplied USB cable to a Wunderlich dual socket cockpit charger, rather than the supplied wiring harness. For anyone going with this particular unit using a RAM mount as I did, be sure to order the Chigee 1” ball because the diamond shaped base of a 1” RAM ball won’t fit the back of the Chigee (the ball that comes with the unit is only 17mm). I’m ok with my own set up, but I just wish Chigee would make a handlebar mount/cradle so that the unit could be snapped on/off without having to loosen and reposition the RAM arm whenever I want to remove the unit. Yours is certainly good option, but I’d prefer not to have a DIY solution.
I've been struggling with this issue...pity that BMW did not adopt the Zumo connector style and pin allocations although the XT2 is different to the XT.
@@nikoscosmos Yes it would have been much easier if they had stuck with common interface, however this goes with a lot products manufacturers like to keep there’s individual this doesn’t help with interchangeability 👍🏻
Could you give more info on the adapter plate used 19m into the video? The plate mounts directly on the Chigee display right? No need for the Chigee lossless adapter? Thank you!
@@christophersantos6785 Hi buddy yes fits directly it does need some small washer / spacers to the the rear to allow the resilient mount to work, sorry I didn’t cover this in the video but it was already a long one, this is the plate the holes are slightly oversized but still works perfectly if you use a washer ideally it would be great if Evotech could supply it without holes and then it could be drilled to suit 👍🏻 Why not ask I’m sure they could accommodate. This was one I had laying around so just used it 😊 Link below evotech-performance.com/collections/sat-nav-mobile-mount-spares/products/ep-garmin-sat-nav-interface-plate
Thank you very much! I'm planning to mount the Chigee to an Evotech mount actually on a soon to be purchased Tiger 😅. Great video, two wheels on the ground!
@@johnmcnulty4376 Thanks for the feedback buddy yea that would be difficult, I have a separate Vantrue F1 4k camera system on mine so the Play a natural choice

Great video. How long are the 3mm countersink screws at 20.04?

I very much like the idea but it won't work for me as I have the cameras connected to my Chigee
