As long as you have a decent Verizon signal you should be good. It is pretty cheap to try it out. $12 for the phone (if you have an unlocked phone that will work with Verizon you can get a new SIM for free), $20 for access (they give you half off on the first month), and around $35 for the travel router.

@@myseaeaglechannel2913 The speed you get depends on tons of factors including tower saturation and distance from the tower. I have gotten speeds over 30 and as low as 1. Just depends on the area.

Help. Im pretty computer literate and I am trying to connect to my cell phone hotspot. Where do you enter the SSID and password to get your device to recognize the router. Neither my laptop or visible phone can connect to it
Are you using the TPLink AC750 router that I am recommending? If so, the directions that came with it can walk you through it if you can't follow the directions in the video. I basically just walked through the instructions for connecting in "hotspot mode" and your Visible phone is the hotspot. Are you saying you are not able to connect your computer to the travel router? Are you using a Mac or Windows computer? You can Google "connect computer to wifi" for instructions for either Mac or Windows.
I really don't know but it probably depends on the specific TP Link router. If you are talking about the travel router then no you can't. Check Google if you are talking about a different router.
Can't get this to work with an iPhone 6s. Hearing through other places that it won't work with an iPhone at all this way. Any workarounds that you ate aware of?
I haven't heard about it not working on an iPhone. I know they were selling the 7 and above on their website so at least the 7 works. The easiest work around is to just get another phone.
@@dannydriggers8214 So what exactly is the problem with the iPhone 6 on Visible? Visible allows only 1 connection at a time to the phone's hotspot. That is what the travel router is for. You can connect the travel router to the hotspot and then everything else to the router.
@@EpicRV the iPhone by default allows multiple connections. I am reading online that it either disables or lacks ability to connect to an external hotspot, rendering the AC750 useless.
Good info, my Visible Hotspot is capped at 5 up and down on the hotspot link. My data connection is 50 down and 12 UP... so the speed is there .. so it appears hotspot is capped. What happens when you reach your hotspot data limit? Does it slow down or completely stop working? Thanks... Good info!
I have heard that some people are capped and others are not. My phone is not capped. There is no data limit as far as I know either. I have not found any information on a cap or any way to check your data usage.
Just remember Visible Customers are lower priority that Verizon Customers. A very good deal currently is the Sprint MIFI 8000 device from FMCA. $49/mo and totally unlimited, no throttling or lower priority. In many cases the service has already switched out to t-mobile towers, so signal has been very good so far.
Found you through #CamperLife. I know you said no contract, but wondering, If you want to pay for a month then skip for like 3 months and then pay for a month, can you do that? We're only part time so wouldn't need the service every month. But wouldn't want to have to start all over with a new account every 3 or 4 months.
I'm not 100% sure but I think you can do that. There is no activation fee so you can cancel it at any time and then restart it whenever you want. You may have to get a new SIM and number but both are free and the number on the phone really doesn't matter. If you currently use Verizon I would highly recommend that you switch all of your phones to Visible. You get a discount for each line you have up to 4 lines so 4 lines only cost $100 total (tax and fees included).
This worked great for 15 mins until visible shut down the hotspot. Is there a workaround for that? What did I do wrong? I had a variety of 2 smartv, 2 tablets, 1 phone trying to stay connected.
It really depends on why you were shut down. It could be due to network congestion at the cell tower or any other number of reason. Have you contacted Visible to see what the problem is? Rebooting your phone is always something to try as well.
Have your speeds changed? Thanks to your video, I setup the same system. Seems to work! However - we’re getting exactly 5.0 Mbps from Visible through the TP Link. Any advice?
I have heard that the 5Mbps limit was reinstated for almost a year but it must be for newer customers. I'm getting over 5Mbps still. If you connect directly to the phone are you still getting only 5Mpbs? It also could be the area.
I bought visible about a week ago and got their phone and used it to make a hot-spot and connected my Roku Smart TV to the hot-spot and it worked pretty good. Today I just received the Tp Link AC750 travel router and when I got it all hooked up and running I noticed a reduction in video quality using the router as to going directly to the phone hot spot. Any ideas why this is or if I can do anything about it?
@@EpicRV It does just a little and I can live with it. Did you go all in with Visible yet? I contacted TP-Link as well and they responded with the following: Dear Terry, Thank you very much for your email requesting information about TP-Link product. When you're using the TL-WR902AC pick up the signal from your cell phone and broadcast a wifi signal for your TV. The data transmission goes through two parts, first: wirelessly transmitting data from the mobile phone to the router, and second: wirelessly transmitting from the router to the TV. In the process of wireless transmission, data will be attenuated and lost to a certain extent. Therefore, the network quality of this method will be worse than when the TV is directly connected to the mobile phone hotspot.
The router allows you to connect multiple devices to a single Visible hotspot. If you have multiple Visible phones the it is up to you if you want to connect all of your computers, gaming, etc to a single Visible phone through a router or use multiple phones and routers. You can use the hotspot available on each phone or just one.
@@EpicRV Maybe that is part of my issue, how do I use the hot spot? I seem to have problems making phone calls if it has a WiFi connection of any sort. And trouble texting either way.
I have a question... I’m trying to figure out if I can connect my 4G hotspot from my phone to this tp-link750 and then it give out a signal to all my other devices and only use the data on my one phone device
I watched your video and did everything you said. it is very slow with live streaming. I have visible with there ZTE Blade 10 phone which I purchased through them. The only problem is I haven't been able to get a good enough signal in the Quartszite or Lake Havasu area in Arizona to do live streaming without a serious lag even when I had the TP Link Travel Router hooked up. When I tried to get help with visible I was able to get a call back but they insisted it was 5 g. I don't know what the prob is but there are plenty of Verizon cell towers here. I wish I knew what the problem was, but I did notice in the settings in the advanced settings of the phone it hs the 2.4 ghz and the 5ghz but I couldn't get it to work with the 5ghz setting.. Any suggestions?
Unfortunately I don't. It happens to me sometimes too and then it magically starts working better. I think that Verizon may give priority to Verizon phones so if the tower is busy then it can have an impact.
After watching your TH-cam, I purchased this the Tip-Link AC-750 Travel Router intending to use it to share a personal hotspot from my iPhone 8. Currently I have Verizon with a 10 gig data plan. I wanted to get the router set-up with what I have to verify it would work before I open a Visible account. Right now I cannot get it to connect to my hotspot. The internet light is trying to connect but continues to blink. Additionally the connection indicator, time and date on top of phone screen scrolls across the top of the phone. I have tried everything I can think of, redoing the set-up. Re-setting the router etc. What am I missing? Will this not work with iphone hot spots? Help?
It should work with an iPhone. Are you following the router directions for connecting in "hotspot mode." Is your iPhone hotspot broadcasting in 2.4GHz or 5.0GHz? It should be using 2.4 for this to work.
I don't know anything about that particular router. For a router to work with the Visible (or any) phone it has to be a travel router as I explained in the video. Travel routers allow for a wireless WAN connection. Most routers require a hard-wired WAN connection so that is the difference. The Visible SIM will only work in a phone. It is programmed to not work in routers, tablets, hotspots, etc.
When this video was made they had just removed the 5Mbps cap. I have heard people say that the cap is back but I consistently get download and upload speeds over 10Mbps.

That is probably true but we have not had any issues in over a year with it.
@@EpicRV we have so I just canceled. Never got more than a few megabits per second and it was constantly very high ping!
@@scrippslarry I understand. We are also using Nomad Internet so we have connectivity through ATT as well. Check them out at bit.ly/2IdmOfi
However - we’re getting
exactly 5.0 Mbps from Visible through the TP Link.
It could be a router setting but I really doubt it. If you go straight to the phone does the quality improve?
@@EpicRV It does just a little and I can live with it. Did you go all in with Visible yet? I contacted TP-Link as well and they responded with the following:
Dear Terry,
Thank you very much for your email requesting information about TP-Link product.
So if you have multiple people streaming in the same house, and multiple visible phones, do you need multiple routers to use the phones as hotspots?
The router allows you to connect multiple devices to a single Visible hotspot. If you have multiple Visible phones the it is up to you if you want to connect all of your computers, gaming, etc to a single Visible phone through a router or use multiple phones and routers. You can use the hotspot available on each phone or just one.
@@EpicRV Maybe that is part of my issue, how do I use the hot spot? I seem to have problems making phone calls if it has a WiFi connection of any sort. And trouble texting either way.
@@GoingGreenMom you just turn it on. If you aren't sure you can Google "turn on mobile hotspot on Android"
I have a question... I’m trying to figure out if I can connect my 4G hotspot from my phone to this tp-link750 and then it give out a signal to all my other devices and only use the data on my one phone device
Here is a step by step guide th-cam.com/video/ZiLaPbSh88I/w-d-xo.html
It should be using 2.4 for this to work.
is a place or link buy all this i be with out internet Tuesday
You buy it online and they ship the phone overnight. You can get the router from Amazon. There is a link in the video description.
@@EpicRV that will work for me Camper life only works on ATT i do not have i have version Thank you very much Friend now i get out Trunk LOL
I just bought a Visible sims card for my old phone and also a Kuwfi Lte router but it does not work. Will this router work for the whole home?
I don't know anything about that particular router. For a router to work with the Visible (or any) phone it has to be a travel router as I explained in the video. Travel routers allow for a wireless WAN connection. Most routers require a hard-wired WAN connection so that is the difference. The Visible SIM will only work in a phone. It is programmed to not work in routers, tablets, hotspots, etc.
Our Epic RV Adventure thank you!! Last night, I bought the Tp link ac750!!! It should be here Monday!! Thank you for your video again!!!
You are very welcome.
Our Epic RV Adventure sir, so I have everything connected but do i need to connect the phone to the to link router or can I do it wireless?
@@tavolopeztv Just follow the steps in the video and it walks you through it all. It is a wireless connection.
Is the cap gone still? I see it on the account
When this video was made they had just removed the 5Mbps cap. I have heard people say that the cap is back but I consistently get download and upload speeds over 10Mbps.

I hate AT&T
I'm usually not a fan but they have been offering great coverage where Verizon doesn't.
