Nuno, thank-you. And I'm pleased that the videos are helping. I think that sand is sometimes too soft and that this can lead to achilles strain, for example, as the tendons can't return energy in quite the way they want to. Of course if the sand is firm, as down by the sea edge then this is not a problem. I think it very much comes down to the country you are in. Hot climates with great beaches would seem to be appealing - in the UK it's not quite the same! If I was in Portugal (or similar) in good weather, then we would do some drills and runs on the beach but by the sea's edge. I'd be less likely to run in soft sand as noted as I think this would be counter-productive and could lead to some strains. Hope this helps a bit.
Good to hear from you. It might be the case that there is a tightness in certain muscle groups that's leading to possible strain??? Tight lower back muscles and potentially the quads can create an imbalance and potential for possible strains. We have very few if any hip flexor and adductor problems ... so, I would suggest that it's down to the type of exercises and their regular inclusion in the video which seem to keep these at bay. I really do like the in-place sprint drills as they create forces similar to those experienced when running. As a stand alone exercise banded hip extensions could be a useful inclusion as you will need to work the adductors specifically to keep the band apart and you extend and lower. Hope this helps and thanks for the continued support.
Good evening John Sir I have been following your video for long time and many of jumpers and Sprinter have improved a lot need your email ID and also how join the group 🙏😊
If these valuable posts are combined, it becomes a "How to jump" book. Thanks for everything 🍀🌼🌸
Many thanks, one day! Not enough hours in the day!
Thanks for your weekly help to thousand of t&f coaches. What about some preseason beach sessions videos? Is sand based exercises good at this point?

Thanks for the video, John.
Are there any particular exercises that you know of that can reduce the likelihood of adductor and hip flexor injury?
