How many days out of a 5 day week should the long and triple jumpers be working on form and technique? also, can you do too many run thru's or reps on a field event day?
I had a athlete as a freshman hit 17' 10" and her sophomore year the best we could get was 16' 10" and had a better vertical and speed as a sophomore but could not jump as far as a sophomore?
What I do: for a jumper 1-2 days jump training max. In season we do 1 day the other day being the competition. Run thrus we do 2 run thrus assuming you are on the board with 1 full practice jump. When it comes to your athlete it sounds like a technical error was taking away from her optimal ability.
@@keinanbriggsso in a cold weather state when I have limited time with my athletes throughout the year, how would you structure a 5 day week practice? Assuming there is no meet that week.
