No she is NTA. The other moms didn’t step up and offer to watch sue so they can shut up. OP is within her right to say no. Especially when it negatively impacts her children.
Man, we used to be so unsafe on trampolines back when I was a kid... We were always unsupervised, we'd have as many as 5 or 6 of us on there at once, there were no spring guards or nets around the trampoline, we'd have a garden hose set up to cover it with water so we'd be slipping around, we'd even toss firecrackers at each other while we were bouncing around! We all got hurt many times, including a couple who ended up with broken bones, and one time when I had to get a precautionary tetanus shot because my friend and I bounced right into each other so that his teeth went straight into my scalp and I was bleeding from the head all over the place... It was great fun!
Wee Sue is coming home and throwing tantrums to her mum about OP and instead of putting her foot down on lil Sue she’s just gonna nag her kind neighbour
Growing up, my neighbor, and my mom had the same arrangement, but it was half-and-half. Sometimes we got driven to school by the neighbor altogether. It wasn’t a one-sided favor. It was a schedule that was fair and equal
It also sounds like Zoe doesn't approve of OP's choices for her family (or can't afford the same) and wants OP to make special concessions for her daughter. As this would put an undue strain on OP and her children... NOPE!
A girl in my neighborhood (late '60s) ruptured her spleen after falling on the rim of their trampoline. Trampolines were definitely not as common as they are now, so her injury really stuck in my mind.
NTA! We don't hear how old Sue is, but she sounds like she could do more for herself if Zoe hadn't given her a phone to be a fill-in parent/babysitter. Heck, I remember walking 8 - 10 blocks to school by myself as a 1st & 2nd grader back in the early 1960's. But yeah, if the other moms have a problem, they can volunteer to watch Sue and put up with Zoe's requests.
The other moms lmao. If they have that opinion, they can step up and offer instead Also I love that this turned from a reaction to the post to talking about the hazards of trampolines
Before we were able to have me stay at home with our kids, I would get up early so I could get ready, then pack everyone's lunch, then fix breakfast for the kids and everything else that they needed. OP's neighbor needs to get her priorities straight. And yes, my husband, after getting ready for work, helped with getting the kids dressed and downstairs to the kitchen.
There is an update to this story where we find out why 'the other moms' are all up in arms over OP's refusal and it has nothing to do with 'moms help moms' but with (supposed) money OP was given by this witch!
Sue could be also saying, "well they do this over there, so why can't I/we do it?" and the mom does not want to, so she is asking OP to be the one to change. It seems like there is more going on between Sue and OP's kids than what OP is saying, or knows about. Personally, I would have told the neighbor that she has to feed Sue before she comes over. What is the neighbor doing for OP? Usually in these situations the neighbor would take on OP's kids in exchange on other days, or offer to pay, and it seems like only OP is the one giving in this situation. How long is the neighbor expecting this to go on for? I am willing to bet the main reasons the kids do not like Sue is because they know OP is not happy with the situation, and they feel they are not free to do what they want on those days.
@@xeedflarian9748 yeah,, at 70, I realize that many songs I liked decades ago were full of double meanings.. I mean.. father figure.. ewwww.. but if she's talking rap,or something like that. no... tho I would have simply found someone else to take care of my kid at that point.
NTA. The other moms can take the kid and all the weird requests then. I’ve had moms in a preschool setting micro manage everything. She probably asked Sue every detail because she’s a helicopter mom so she could make sure that she could control every aspect of her daughter’s day.
@@mwhelan8185 I have no idea. It was ridiculous. I didn’t make it through the whole thing because I thought he would bring the wife in who can’t seem to comment without profanity. I’m no prude but really Candy? They both act so entitled and perfect raving about things. It’s just annoying.
OP to the other mum’s: I’ll pass on your offer to watch Sue whenever needed.

To the other moms.... she can go to your house then 😊😊😊😊
EXACTLY
OP needs to type up a bill for daycare with all these demands....$250 per day like everywhere else.

I think it's more like mom is trying to keep enforcing her rules at home and Sue is saying but neighbor let's me. And mom is getting that.

No, nowadays, they have a net around them.
NTA. If this kid is old enough to have a phone and walk to school, why can't she get herself off to school from her own home?
Only one kid at a time on the trampoline? Have these kids never heard of popcorn? You need at least three to four people.
One is not under obligation to raise other people's children

If someone is doing you a favour don’t complain about bloody veggie sausages 😂
OP should ask other Mom's are you going to watch the girl themselves? Crickets!
Im watching this in A.M. in bed, and now I want a sausage/ cheese/ & bacon breakfast sandwich! Any1 else? No...just me?!
Eating that now 😂😂
I could use a breakfast sandwich!

My response " what days do have her shild"?
Why isn't this other mom feeding her kid breakfast in the morning before she sends her to OP's house?
is OP playing music with explicit lyrics in front of her own kids?
That's what I got out of that. To me that was a valid request.

I believe Interpretation is the word you were thinking of. And I agree. They sound just peachy.
Not one single person in the comments section minds that he called a little girl the B word?

The only reason I’d ask for something different than what was cooked is if I’m allergic to it.

Sir, improvise and try to be as entertaining as possible but don’t call a child a “bitch.” I don’t care what the context is. Unsubscribed.
Thank you!!! You are literally the only person other than me to have a problem with that.
@ YES!! That is as HORRIBLE and totally uncalled for, SMH!
