Good Job, and welcome to SoCal tuff fishing Conditions! I think only Japan is tougher, or maybe Mojave during the U.S. Open!😂 You are right about there being big fish in Silverwood! I’ve caught one around Ten there on a drop shot.
Hahaha. This video was during the week and a guy at the boat ramp said it is slammed on the weekend. I didn’t get to fish the swim/camping area. I checked it out at the end of the video and I think that might be the spot. I could see grass in the water from the shore. I didn’t see grass the entire day. I’ll be back
Thanks brotha! This lake is tough this time of year. Really cold.. Can’t wait to come back in spring. I might come back and throw big swim baits when they stock for trout. 👍🏻👍🏻🍻🍻🍻🍻🎣
Silverwood can be a grind wind always picks up out of nowhere too. I’ve pulled some big bass out when it does bite tho! You should fish one of the harbors for spotted bass
I know that lake holds some monster but I just couldn’t find them that day… definitely going to fish Newport. Future video coming!! 👍🏻👍🏻🍻🍻 thanks for watching man
Awesome video dude. Just found your channel. I am Active duty Army stationed at Fort Irwin and Silverwood is the closest lake to me to take the bass boat. You have a new follower in me Brother.
Silverwood is the lake I fish the most …I shore fish but after a few years I found that a senko catches the roamers and the ned rig catches the bed fish.. everything green pumpkin. My biggest there is 5lb but I’ve seen multiple 7+ pound bass in there. I hike the back side by the damn.
I had like a 50 pack of senkos I just bought from bass pro for this lake and couldn’t find them.. hopefully they didn’t go overboard haha 😂. Definitely going back to this lake to catch a big bass. I never saw any structure or bass on my graph. All about location!! 🍻🍻🎣🎣👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks bro. It’s a Great Lake. Definitely feel the cold weather coming in. I’m going back to catch a big bass. I know they’re in that lake. I just never saw any structure. All about location!! 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍻👍🏻🎣🎣
I was just searching that lake and they have really tight regulations. It seems you can only fish from May to September… they’re trying to protect the natural bass in that lake. Which is pretty cool. It must be a Great Lake to fish when it’s open. I’ll give it a shot in May! 🍻🍻🍻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🎣😎 Thank you
there is also this secret lake i have my eyes on for 20+ years, no boats, has gone mostly unfished because of limited shore access but is totally accessable by kyack. world record largemouth may reside there, 10lb+ catch very likely, if you up for a little adventure this place is doable, and easy to get to. its name is gomez creek on pala road.
@@tomheinrich9638 I’ve been checking that area out. Another lake called Wohlford near Escondido. I don’t think any type of boat is allowed there. I might poke around and check these smaller lakes out. They all seem to be holding monster bass.
Yeah. I was thinking about hitting the marina and the camping area but I ran out of time. I couldn’t find any structure out in the lake. I’m sure the bass are under the dock or in a grass somewhere. It’ll take me a couple trips to figure it out
I think it’s just there fishing line. I checked the shirt and there’s no specific name. I bought these at Basspro shop. The shirt collar just says loose. 👍🏻🍻🍻🎣
1:33 pretty interesting fact brother 🐠🎣
Jerkbaits do pretty well at Silverwood. The really shallow area you were at is where trout like to end up when they stock it.
Sorry man TH-cam stops telling me about comment after a while… but thank you I will give it a shot when I’m back out there 🍻🍻👍🏻👍🏻
Awesome edits, fishing, comedy (birds) 😆 subbed!
thanks brotha 👍🍻🍻🍻

It’s a really cool lake. I only fished there in fall/winter. I’m sure it’s awesome right now
You Da Man Casey! Keep them coming! I do have to say- not having any senkos....That's just wrong! LOL

Quality content man! Just found you today and subbed. Hope you keep the videos coming!
Thanks man. I really appreciate the comment 👍🏻🍻🍻. I’ll try to get back out there soon
well at least no skunk, but the marina holds the bigger bass and stripers.

Do I need registration or anything like clam tags or whatever the hell to use a kayak or can I just buy a kayak and launch out at silverwood
What under armor is that?

Spinner Bait?
I made a mistake that day and didnt throw spinner or jigs. Fish marks were on bottom around 15ft… iduno super tough day/lake that day
