Hell yeah brotha, amazing feesh! So awesome to see a real catch rather than all this bs stocked trout craziness. From one bass guy to another, this is truly inspiring. Heading out Wednesday before the storm hits to chase the trout eaters. Did you have any follows on the bluegill? Congrats man, you earned it
Thank you so much appreciate it alot. That’s hilarious lmaoooo. Nah I didn’t get no followers on the Gill. Cleghorn is the area you should fish in my opinion cause there is a lot of grass left there well might not be as much anymore cause it’s been about 2 to 3 weeks now but I suggest you start there since the trout are being pushed back there by stripers and largemouth. But again thank you man means alot love the comments I get so I get feed back on the videos and it was wild to catch her that area was stacked with fish ✊🏽
Well I have two setups at the moment the one in the video was a phenix X15 composite rod it’s a big crank rod up to 4 Oz and I use that for small glides or multiple jointed baits under 4 Oz, and another rod I had have is a okuma guide select and that goes to 2-10Oz that’s my big bait rod so huds , jig hook style swimbaits, big glide like the deps 250 so basically big baits I hope I helped you can check out one of my videos called “ this lake is tough” you will see me using the guide select rod in that video hope I helped you ✊🏽
damn bro, congratulations on that 8lb. silverwood is my home lake and i know how tough it can be at times, looks like you had yourself one of those epic days and im glad you enjoyed yourself. but now i gotta shit on you a little bit and here is why: your handling of that monster bass was disgusting bud. the amount of time you kept it out of the water just on video, not even counting what you edited out was horrifying. you might have dunked in the water a few times, it just wasnt on video, and feel like that was ok, but thats not enough bro. we gotta do a better job of how we care for these fish to make sure they survive so they can provide the next generation for us. these animals are susceptible to all the same health risks that you and i would face under the same conditions. if i made you sprint a 100 meter dash like your life depended on it, and then deprived you of oxygen for several minutes right after that til the point where you passed out, you would require immediate medical attention after that or you could die. most people know about the risk of brain damage when deprived of air, thats why drown victims often end up in vegetative states if they survive. once a fish goes into shock, where you have to try to "revive" them so they can slowly swim off, they have about a 28% chance of surviving and usually die within 5 days from asphixiation. this is not something i just made up, this is from marine biologists who have done studies on the effect on how bass are affected when they are caught in tournaments, and it has helped reshape the industry in the way they handle bass at these large tournaments to ensure minimal impact on the fishery. i get it... it was a nice moment for you. enjoy it, take your picture, get that bass back in the water as soon as possible. so just please, be a little more mindful. if you couldnt hold your breath for that long, a much smaller animal definitely wouldn't. happy fishing.
