Somehow interesting. I just can’t seem to find any interest at any possible use of a pocket square, in any normal not formal or celebrative situation: unless for a special occasion, a celebration, a Sunday gathering, an aperitive on holidays, no informal every day situation would make it appear less than a pretentious overdressing item, a bit like a lady secretary wearing platform high heeled sandals at the post office on any normal Tuesday, to give you an idea. In Europe at least. Still I like very much the item.

This channel always finds a way to strike the perfect balance of being usefully informative, while also highlighting things in your store, and yet not making it feel like one long commercial (like some other channels). Other TH-camrs should take note, this is a master class on how to do it right!

LOL i love it . Very inspirational. After years of collecting ties (and not cravats) I've started my pocket square collection. I went from only having 1 for the past 5 years to now 6! 2 soft silk cream that matches mother of pearl buttons are a great addition to also having plenty of white cotton or linen.

I keep mine in a brooks brothers box. The kind they gift wrap a shirt in.

I’m trying to find out the color of the jacket Raphael wears at different times throughout the video, it’s double breasted, it looks light blue or bluish green, I want one like it, it seems to go with everything, I can’t seem to find one. Raphael has such great taste in clothes. That’s why I’m always coming back and watching his videos.

Pocket squares are decorational and not functional so no. Instead use a handkerchief

What’s the difference between a pocket square and a handkerchief?
pocket squares are more often a finer material more for aesthetics while a handkerchief is sturdier meant for its practical function such as to wipe glasses if worn, aid a upset woman crying or to wipe your hands. hope this helps

This is the only purchase I find nearly impossible to make. i can get paying for top-quality shoes and clothing that will last. I also think pocket squares do set off an outfit and look amazing, But i just cant bring myself to pay $25-$75 for a small square of fabric. I find the cost ridiculous and in no way reflecting its actual worth. I promise you a square of linen, wool or even silk is not nearly this expensive if purchased from a fabric store, and that's by the yard! This is one item ill have to find used in thrift shops or not at all. I may start making and selling them. They are extremely easy to make with only the basic Home Ec knowledge of a sewing machine and even good material isnt that expensive in bulk. Its obviously a high retail value item!

How about your kilt collection? It IS classic menswear, after all, and should be part of any complete wardrobe.

I don’t think cultural appropriation is relevant. If a man wants to wear a kilt, let him. Same goes with any person to any culture. Doesn’t make one go against his or her origin, but rather, it shows admiration to that culture and what it represents while still looking classy

Not at all, I know a few Englishmen who've been told to wear kilts to their weddings by their Scottish brides. No-one up here really minds, at least not in my experience.

Being a woman, I'm thinking that the plain pocket squares that have rolled edges or with minimal embroidered accents would be extremely easy to make! If a person owns one of the fancy sewing machines, they could crank out some very unique and inexpensive pocket squares very quickly!

Would one ever use a pocket square apart from as an accessory; i.e., you have a pocket square in your jacket on a hot day and your forehead starts sweating a bit. Would it be ok to take it out to wipe one's forehead and then put it back, or are pocket squares nowadays simply not used like that practically anymore?

I haven't purchased a pocket square in 15 years. I have adopted a joke I saw Dean Martin use. I utilize ladies underwear. Yes, panties. Infinite appropriate fabrics, colors and patterns. Red panties, black suit, white shirt. black straight or bow tie. Navy blue with small white polka dots is a tight pattern. Paired with a dark grey suit, white shirt, dark tie. This will happen to you. I'm in a high end cocktail lounge and some one will grab your "pocket square" saying, "I'll show you how to fold it." He snaps it to its full shape. Everyone sees it and bursts out laughing. Your next line, "No wonder she had trouble getting dressed this morning!"
