    Congrats on the relationship with ABB. Great looking bow those strings and cables make it look even better. I was up in your neck of the woods last weekend doing some early season scouting for my upcoming turkey hunt. Love chasing those Nebraska birds. Good luck this season. Keep the videos coming.

      Abb twists their string backwards = coming undone much quicker then those twisted correctly, inside is twisted one way outside twisted opposite way.

      @@bigjohnson4427 been shooting them for 2 years and havent once had anything come undone, no peep rotation or serving separation either. Whitetail Fit no I haven’t, won’t put them on any bow I own. I have them custom built by 1 guy, 1 set of hands touch it instead of a shop full of people. I probably pay way more but I put about 30k shot thru them a year. No break in period

      @@bigjohnson4427 right on, there are definitely alot of good bow string builders out there! Was just wondering if you had personal experience with a fault in the ABB system. Theyve worked extremely well for me and anyone I know who shoots them 👍🏼

    Paper tune with a bare shaft at 7 yards. If you can get a bullet hole your a tuneing master. Also having the top stop hit first is better than nothing but creep tune It if you want it just right.

    Great video! I have a question regarding the ABB string and cables. What colors have you selected? I think the serving color is "clear" but what about the two strand colors? They look really good in combination with the Realtree Edge camo on the RX-4. Cheers.

    In 2011 I bought a Hoyt Carbon Matrix. I had been shooting 82 lbs with my old Browning Ballistic Mirage since 1994. The shop didn't have an 80 lb Hoyt in stock for me to try out, but I figured 80 lbs is 80 lbs, so I had them order me one. When the bow came in, it was maxed out at 86 lbs. I couldn't budge it. I turned it down to 80 and could only move the string about 3". Turned it down to 75 lbs and could almost draw it. I had to turn it down to 72 lbs just to be able to come to full draw. I never did get comfortable with that bow and went back to my old Browning. Sold the $1300.00 Hoyt for $400.00. Lesson learned. Never buy anything sight unseen.

    Maybe this is my inner bjtch speaking but isn't 80# heavy AF for treestand hunting? Need some advice ..I owned an rx1 at 70 but I sold it and haven't shot in over a year. I wanna drop some cash on an rx4 in 80 lbs but don't think I'll be able to pull more than a few arrows at a time starting out. After shooting a year with the 70# I could shoot 40-50 arrows before taking a break. Should I just get another 70 and be done with it?

    • @toddlymburner5783
      @toddlymburner5783 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Supercreech 26.5 inch draw, 450 grain arrow hitting 302 FPS. That’s as fast as any bow is gonna give you

    • @toddlymburner5783
      @toddlymburner5783 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Supercreech I’m well aware the 80 pounds will shoot faster that’s kinda the point of it as well as shooting a heavier arrow. I shot a VXR 75 pounds, PSE Evo 80 pounds, Bowtech RevoltX and nothing came even close. I don’t know another bow that gave me more horsepower at my short draw. For someone of my draw length to shoot a 450 grain arrow over 300 FPS is fast!! That # 2 cam does well at my draw length

    • @toddlymburner5783
      @toddlymburner5783 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Supercreech your so full of shit lol. I’ve shot every bow and those speeds I’m getting with a 450 grain arrow are about as good as your gonna get. Please show me a bow shooting a 450 grain arrow anywhere near that speed at a 26.5 draw???? Please show me?

      That truly sucks bro. We've all heard of some people having finish problems with their Hoyt Carbon bows fresh from the factory. I've been lucky. I've owned three and the finish on each has been absolutely perfect. Sorry that this was not your experience. At the price point you should be able to expect near perfection.

    Why r you paper tuning so far back? You do realize that the further back you paper tune the more the arrow self corrects. You should be bare shaft tuning from a further back distance. The point of the fletching is to steer/spin the arrow, completely pointless to paper tune a fletched arrow any further then a few feet away.

    • @WhitetailFit
      @WhitetailFit  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is why we started to look at tune from a few feet 👍🏼

    • @bigjohnson4427
      @bigjohnson4427 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Whitetail Fit the tech shouldn’t be paper tuning your bow to begin with, for him maybe perfect for you it might be way off, your form vs his is totally different (most likely). Bare shaft tune, then walk back tune and your set. Keep it simple and fail proof

    • @burna803
      @burna803 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@bigjohnson4427 I always heard the same. But these days you try and find a new way to tune the bow because bows these days are just hittin with minimal tuning no matter the manufacturer

    • @sammyhughes6769
      @sammyhughes6769 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@bigjohnson4427 did you watch the whole video? The tech shot the bow like one time then handed it over to him. I'm sure there will be more tuning done on it before they call it completely setup. If you watch his videos he's a pretty thorough young man and takes great pride in what he does. He will cover all of it in his videos just stay tuned. If you think he's doing it wrong then put yourself out there and start your own video collection. 'm sure you'll find people that will tell you your doing it wrong.

    • @WhitetailFit
      @WhitetailFit  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yessiiiirr, that Is why I Personally shot the bow through paper in this video, and the Tech explained his hand torque may be different as well. I full well plan to bare shaft and walk back tune this bow as well. This is just an initial set up of the strings and cables 👍🏼
