Well look at that. I go to Lincoln every other day. I bought my first bow from Luke at that Scheels, then my replacement bow, Dylan helped me out. Small world.
Had great luck with Josh, I drive 4 hours to have him work on my bows! Great help and always trying to share his knowledge!
I'm also a 27 inch draw...and my bow draws back at 71lbs at that length. I'm shooting a 40 grain lighter arrow. But getting 287 fps from my Bowtech Sr6!! So happy with my bow. Something for other short guys to consider... doesn't have to be a hoyt

That’s blazing for 27”. I’m 29.5” draw, shooting the Axis match grade identical setup as yours weighing in at 523gr with 73lb draw chrono at 276 exactly. (RX3). Great setup
I work at an archery shop in MN and I had a guy come in today with 548gr arrows. Shot it through the crono and he got 271fps! Bombs I tell ya, bombs!
Hell ya looks good. With my 31.5 draw and 547 gr. pierce platinums @82 lbs I’m right around 304 fps. Thank God for long arms.
Can’t wait to get my helix. As a fellow short arm club member my DL is 26” which sucks big time. I’ve had a hard time finding a bow that fits me but the helix is the one. Hope to get at least 270 out of mine when I get it all set up.
I am also a 26 inch draw. I was considering a Helix. How do you like the bow?

I’m with you man I’m a 28 inch draw length and I’m getting 280 FPS out of my Vertix with 75 pound mods. I’m shooting a 486 grain arrow though so I’m stoked with my speed!
I feel the pain as a 27 in draw dude myself I’d be pumped 276 with 505 arrow
I’m shooting a 400 grain arrow out of my 27 in draw 70 lb hyperforce! Now I want it on a chronograph! Lol

Nice setup man. My Mathews Wake is shooting a 500 grain arrow at 275 FPS. 28 in draw at 70lbs. I’m pretty happy with it.

Rad bow man! I have the RX3 ultra with 80 lbs limbs 30.5" draw with good tip kinetic kaos 200 spine sitting at 598grs and shooting 280fps. I couldn't be happier with my how setup this year.
27” draw here also on a destroyer 350 @ 73 lbs. Got new arrows yesterday at 495 grains and pushed them 281 through the chrono.

I draw 32.5" with 602 gr. arrow @180 fps. 51lb recurve, shooting off the shelf.... but it works for me!😉 sold my compounds 10 years ago, traditional is more challenging and more fun! Great video!
Dillion does great work! I can’t remember which tech it was, but I’m pretty sure it’s Dillion who’s old triax I bought and am shooting now! Beautiful bow nonetheless!
I'd love to head down there! I'm from abq nm I work at the local shop down here and I'm shooting a 80# hyperforce with a 522 grain gold tip kinetic pierce platinum running a tko stainless steel outsurt! Killer set up doing 300 flat! But the numbers your getting arekiller! Would love to maybe get to take a trip down there in the future and do some shooting maybe hunting down there!

Nice set up I use to shoot a pse omen max 30 inch 84 lb 526 grain fmj I can't remember if it shot 336 or 326 fps Chrono it several times. I now crossbow hunt with a 428 grain arrow at 405 fps tons of energy this will be my first time hunting with a crossbow also use to shoot a 94lb Hoyt faktor 30 good bow but nothing shot like my omen should have never sold it

85.44 KE...That's good enough for Africa bro! Lol...👍 The only thing that hurts you is the 27" draw...If you had a 29" or 30", you'd probably be in the mid to high 280's fps...
My Hoyt Carbon turbo shooting a 535 gr fmj arrow going 284.2 fps
I read that Hoyt bows are true to their draw length. Have you found this to be true? I am a 26 inch draw with Mathews, Bear, and Bowtech. I was interested in the Helix Turbo for better performance.

Bruce Barthalow, it will be very pricey because you’ll have to buy different limbs to keep your draw weight the same, you’ll have to buy new #2 cams, and you’ll have to buy new strings and cables because of the different sized or smaller cams... anyways, just some food for thought. I’m in the same boat you’re in, I decided not to break the bank and keep the number #3 cams because it would be easier to sell due to the majority of people fall into the the #3 cam lengths in terms of their draw length.

What is your exact bow and draw weight? I am getting a new bow and I have been looking hard at the Mathews vxr and it is pretty fast but not that fast. I want to give the helix a try but I would like to shoot the setup side by side With the VXR and compare hand shock, draw cycle, and speed @ 27 inch draw.

It is just D-loop material fed through the little opening at the back of the release 👌

@@heatherh2784 It's ok that I don't believe you. I understand arrow components and how a bow works. That bow IBOs at 352. With that arrow weight at exactly 600 and bow weight at exactly 70 lbs and draw at 30. That comes out to about 263fps with 15 grains of added string weight. I know because I know someone who runs this exact set up and they are getting 260 fps.

My tech never paper tuned any of my bows I don't know why.
Say something about it or challenge them on it. Your paying good money for equipment and that is part of the process
