They are a stolen Mexican fashion.
Maddy Mace ok I guess the 1880s through 1910s didn’t exist
Bacchanalia lol they were originally British riding boots.
Those are the ugliest boots I’ve seen 😂😂 Mexican made boots are waayyyy better this is coming from a white boy

I LOVE this! My family wears a lot of boots, sometimes for fashion but mostly for function. What a beautiful, handmade process. So great to see the artisans at work. Thank you!
+deannamcintyre Thanks YOU for watching!!
Before Hollywood it looks like the Spanish vaqueros wore mexico boots and that eventually was streamed into American culture, so that bit of history needs included
Thoes are great riding boots. I were them every day very comfortable

Sydney Béïque I loveee my tin hauls

American???? 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 A country that does not have its own identity, has to steal from food to boots.
If we didn't have our own identity we wouldnt have our own flag our own language our own constitution Mexico barley has stability and most of Latin America is garbage but hey keep thinking that
greengoblen1 - own language? Boy the English language comes from England. And words used in America come from a variety of languages including Latin,Germany, Greek and others.
Where do you think each country's identity comes from? Every country is a mixture of innumerable cultures and influences from other places, not just America. No country has its own culture that is completely isolated from outside influence. Why is that a bad thing, rather than something to be celebrated?
@@OhioYANKEE1865 u do know english came from europe and the american flag has its start as a different form of the english flag right? Food wise there is no american food besides frozen tv diners or burgers or hot dogs or something like that.
@@OhioYANKEE1865 and the constitution was drafted in a resemblance of other constitutions...
Wow this is amazing I just thought they were made by a machine
Ugg boots? Swimsuits? Lush products?
Lush was already there (before rebranding). Ugg boots would be cool.
just check out lush’s youtube channel to see how lush products are made
I just bought this boot in a round toe, in Black and Tan . Thanks for sharing this video.
First cowboy came from Mexico.
Love the video. Lucchese are my favorite boots. Love that most of their styles are Made in America by hand. Though I am sure there Made in(Leon?) Mexico boots are not far behind. Thank you
So fascinating! Really feel like I learned something new and understand the value behind handmade shoes much better.
this video is so cool! i love this series
+laylah. Thanks for hanging out!! :)
My abuelo had several pair of boots. I will say cowboy boots are insanely comfortable.
My fav types of shoes! fits my style and they're totally badass. Unfourtenatly they are pretty rare in my country.
Everyone is an expert.... Lol... The first modern cowboy boots were made in Olathe Kansas in the late 1800s. They were a mix of British "Wellington" calvary boots and Spanish calvary boots. The American design incorporated 1) a 4 panel design with vamps/ front tops, counters/ back tops sewn across the ankles and then sewn top to bottom at the two side seams. They also featured a "Cuban" slanted heel and were made with a R and L foot for each pair. It is an all American boot with innovations that were distinctly different from previous boot designs. The finest boots are made following the traditional 235 step process of a single maker BY HAND, not in a factory, and certainly not in Mexico (sorry compadres) . There are about 185 custom bootmakers left in the USA. These are what REAL cowboys wear......
While I support American makers I think Mexican handmade is of equal quality. Factory made stuff is better from the US but handmade requires a craftsman and they can come from anywhere.
😂😂😂😂 now tell me how the real cowboys came to be,??? because Americans learn from the Mexicans, and yes the cowboys boots originated in Mexico sorry compadre but you don’t have your history right 😂
What kind of cowboy boots are those
EMERARDO GONZALEZ Lucchesse 👌 the best on the market
The fact that i use these to actually ride horses strokes my individuality complex. From now on I will call everybody who wears these as fashion posers.
I always thought Cowboy boots were embossed and stamped with their designs but now I've learned that it's actually stitched. Amazing work.
I just ordered a pair of lucchese classics 😬😬😬
I love cowboy boots!!
It states in this video that "cowboys boots " came from Hollywood and before that they were just called "boots".
All my good boots are from Spain or Mexico I won’t even buy most of the big name company’s no more maybe luccheses but that is it most are not worth the price like lorados are made in China I believe dan post owns the name most of the big name company’s get a lot of ther boots done ther as far as I’m concerned
Founded in San Antonio TEXAS! (1883)
Hollywood stars didn’t create “cowboy” boots.
Mexican all the way
@The Lost Media Library Wrong, the design and fashion trend is Mexican by culture, this is why people are called Hispanic. MEXICAN PEOPLE ARE HISPANIC.
The BEST MADE boots are made by Leddies in Fort Worth, Texas!!!!
Whoever chose the narrator should never be allowed to wear boots again.
Nice, but Lee Miller Texas-Traditional boots cannot be beaten.
$1500 boots not even goodyear welted? Not even blake stitched??? WTF
no wonder they are expensive👁💧👄💧👁
why the fuck would you kill ostriches for boots?
Counteyroad take me home
Cowboy boots have their shape to fit in the stirrup of the saddle. Cowboy boots have their stitching and pattern to add rigidity and sturdiness to keep the boot upright, instead of slouching down
When did they take the wood out of the shoes?
Rebecca Mhagama depends on the boot some have wooden some have rubber
The sole is leather, rubber, or composite; not wood. The stain used to die the sole makes a hard leather outsole look like wood.
Hey fellas, i think rebecca meant the "lasts", not the outer soles, which are leather, they probably remove the staples then pull them out when they are done shaping.
Chaparreras - Chaps
Espuelas - Spurs
Cowboy boots or botas vaqueras are mexican
I WANT TO BE THE 1ST TO EVER OWN A PARE OF >>> ARMADILLO SKIN COWBOY BOOTS > they would NEVER WEAR OUT THE TOPS I LOVE MY TONY LAMAS

This style was developed in Mexico, Mexico has Spanish history within it.
So yes they are Made in Mexico, and adapted in the USA.

Cordovan leather is a much more noticeable difference than regular leather.
The ostrich boots in the video are they square toe or snip toe I really want to know because I want to buy them

Really why is no one mad about the ostrich skin !!!!!!
They were ostracized from the comment section.
The dog was so cute!!
If all the water evaporates, wouldn't it just get trapped in the air and make it humid?
Probably well ventilated
Think air conditioning with heat. Or a sauna. They control the humidity. Hope that makes sense.
Genuine Ostrich. 3 payments
is the heel leather
Made in China
That so cool
I love this channel
No one that buys 1,500 dollar boots should ever wear them
Why?
Why?
American fashion? Dafuq
@The Lost Media Library That is wrong, the poncho was a pan American clothing piece. It is drawn out by native Americans in the few codices left by them. After the native and the spanish producing the modern Hispanic people, the scrappe was created.
I love cowboy boots there so comfy!!
I've had a couple pair of boots, but I found them to be so uncomfortable. Nothing like a pair of good running shoes for comfort in my opinion. However, running shoes are not stylish like these ostrich boots that look so amazing.
🤠🤠🤠🤠
So cool to learn about!!!!
+taliasclafani Thanks for watching!!
@@refinery29 how long is the production process?

I only buy real leather second hand. Actually most of my stuff is second hand because heeyy modern slave labor, ya know?
I only eat stuff that was surrounded by leather. In the case of jerkey, I’m okay with second hand.
I have about 13 pairs of boots and I’ve never thought about how they were made lol
Gotta love how gringos appropiate everything.
Like the rest of the world does not use electricity, medicine, cars, airplanes, manufacturing processes, etc. Americans do not get offended when other countries use American creations. Americans encourage it. So, what are you offended about?

Not that they can't, the point here is that they have it as their own. Like if they were the starters/creators (this applies to many things).
By the way
If you didn't know vaqueros "cowboys" originated in Mexico, which was not mentioned at all in this video.
