“My name is Patrick”, the moment the universe aligned. I’ve purchased items from Patrick in the recent past and had no idea this was him until the last scene. Patrick is WONDERFUL to deal with. I had an issue with customs on my side of the pond and Patrick was the best. He was excellent to deal with throughout the process of getting my item delivered. It firms my faith in the transaxle and Porsche community that people like Patrick create such soul stirring history.
Never clicked on a video so fast.... I've had my 968 for 12 years now. Bought it in really rough shape and have put a ton of work into it. It's a great drivers car, and easy to drive at 95% all the time. Edit: The original oak green is pure class. I would have left it that.
Whoever is in charge of filming and creative is incredible. Always has been. Some of the best car content videos ever produced. There should be a film done on the process of creating content. How it's done and the work that goes into it.
You can activate the close captions. It's not accurate, but better then nothing. The story behind the car is what makes petrolicious so special to watch.
@ I mean, I noticed a couple of words dropped here and there that I would have included but my point was to counter the assertion that the subs were inaccurate, which they blatantly aren't. They're fine.
@ - I went for a natural flow of english (the others are auto) that is paced for a nice casual viewing experience. Certain nuances would take far too many characters or feel out of touch. Much rather have the feeling of a cars & coffee conversation that literal translation. Also, knowing him quite well it was an easy choice. Auto-translate constantly f*s with the models and years. For those that speak both - turn them off!
i just wanted to thank you guys at petrolicious for pumping out such good content , one of my childhood memories and also one of the reason i fell in love with 911s is this channel and having the pleasure of watching it again is so comforting
This is the car culture I want more of. I'm sick of instagram/tiktok-ification. There is a purity, a respect, an art to how you guys present these cars and their owners.
FINALLY, the awesome 968 - the best, last, and rarest of the transaxle series - is featured. I have a 6-speed coupe and it's absolutely fantastic to drive. 🏁
I think these are still fantastic looking cars. Timeless. As the former owner of a 944 we always wanted to find a 968 but they are much more rare. Pretty much the perfect Porsches: Good looking, good sounding, comfortable, practical with a hatch back, great to drive, and fast enough.
Beautiful car. Love the color choice. I like all Porsches. 968 was unique and was an especially well balanced car, designed to take curves. What is truly incredible is that it does not look dated, as most cars of the same era do now. Porsche designs very well, making many iconic cars.
Das ist mal wieder ein Video, dass viel länger sein könnte. Die Aufnahmen, das Interview zwischen durch, die Emotionen die perfekt rüber kommen, macht alles Lust auf sehr viel mehr! Vielen Dank🙏
Excellent video, brings back many fond memories of my Porsche 968 CS in Maritime Blau that I owned when I lived in Cologne from 2000 - 2004. The trips to the Nurburgring were so enjoyable, as were even the commutes to work.
The 968 is the extreme evolution of the 924 project. (924>944>968) This man made a great job and has the right perception about the value of the 968 that is still underrated.
Hey Petro - excited to have you guys back .. really bumped for thoughtfully curated gear in the shop, member events … and the Drive Tastefully die cuts to return. Have a 1973 BMW 2002 that needs one!
After your last video I commented about how much I enjoyed it but expressed that I like to see more than Porches and BMW's, and here we are. LOL With that said, this is one of my favorite Porches. Beautiful work on this one. I'd still like to see some of the cars I mentioned featured; C4 ZR1, 2003 CTS-V, or 69 Corvette Stingray 427 to name a few.
I haven't seen this one for a while, that's why IT was so amazing to remembering this Porsche like it was completely new to me. I love also the idea of treating this type of car as a daily drive, when it's not affordable to most of this strange world. Also it was huge project made look as very easy one, that's super cool!
This is Petrolicious as I remember it and in the right language! My black '84 924 had the obsolete and rather lame Audi engine, but it could drift at 30 km/h in corners with Amsterdam tram rails. A solid thing that never failed. I bought it for €1000. from a man whose wife said she was ashamed to sit in it. They also had a brand new E46. It served me well.
I don't care what people say, I really like the Porsche 968. Its a great looking car. The rear wing looks aftermarket. I love that he put a manual transmission in it. That's exactly what I would have done. Thank you.
What a great video, I often ride past Patrick’s shop by motorcycle since it is located on one of my regular “fun routes” near home. Took me a while to realize the connection to his 944er Teile Shop though, the HP license plate gave it away 😅
Finally!!! After such a long time I really missed watching petrolicious videos. Plus with such a great car the 968. Most people think of 944, 928 and Boxter when it comes to water cooled Porsche.
Nice video. I agree on the 911 comments “They are too much for what you get”. I have seriously considered on three occasions and ended up picking other European brands that offered greater value and appeal. This car is beautiful. Well done.
Absolutely spot on.. for a 968;) Love the steering wheel and gear stick. I still prefer, aesthetically the Series 1 928 but thats because i stared at it as a 14 year old till it was printed on my brain
God I really miss Petrolicious! This video takes me back to their earlier content!
I'm glad Petrolicious is back to the old format. Real people with real passion for their cars. I love hearing their stories!

A true enthusiast who never throws anything out!! Amazing. Petrolicious Friday! A new normal!!
He owns a junkyard...
@@mocabrera - He owns a parts business...
Lovely to see credit given to the filmmakers this time around.
Same feeling here. 😁😂

... and rare. At least in the US 90 percent of the 944s were guards red. But it's great to see these transaxles finally get some love.
Blutorange aint to shabby either👍
@pederfallbom if I repaint my 968 (Polar silver), this is certainly high on the list! Ultimate want is the 968 Turbo S in it.
Whoever is in charge of filming and creative is incredible. Always has been. Some of the best car content videos ever produced. There should be a film done on the process of creating content. How it's done and the work that goes into it.
I am going to publish a little BTS on this film next week. ✌🏼
Always nice to wake up in the morning to an espresso and a Petrolicious video.

The english captions were done with the film and are accurate.
They are accurate, just not exact. Good enough for 99% of folks.
@@C345OFR Is there such a thing as an exact translation? Something is always lost or somewhat altered, I think.

Beautiful scenery, both car and environment. ❤
I loved everything on the video, glad to hear that soundtrack back, even more to have that stunning visual, thanks!
Thank you for coming back !!!!
So glad to have these videos back 🎉🎉

Love it. Really enjoyed that. Thanks for bringing such videos back. It’s Friday therapy! 🥰🙏🏼

I know Patrick and I know the whole story to this beautiful 968
Good job 👍
Superb video. This captures the essence of that connection between man and machine.

So good! Glad to see Petrolicious back; such an inspiration for the videos on my channel!
Super grateful to see the videos of some true car enthusiasts! Respect 😊
You guys are the best, don't stop making these pieces of art

What a beautiful car, complimented with stunning photography.
J’adore ! Vous êtes revenus et j’aurai toujours le plaisir de vous regarder. Merci de me faire autant rêver avec vos magnifiques Porsche 😊
Good to have you guys back! You’re style and story telling is unmatched

Petrolicious is so good at this format. And that car is gem.
The total honesty of a true enthusiast.
Glorious work. Beautiful.
Great to see new films on the channel! Thank you, Petrolicious ❤

Lovely video. Lovely setting as well. If only we had some of those perfect smooth German roads in the UK!
I fell in love with the first 968 when I saw the new arrival at my Porsche dealer. It was a Rubystone Red Cabrio, simply stunning.
After your last video I commented about how much I enjoyed it but expressed that I like to see more than Porches and BMW's, and here we are. LOL With that said, this is one of my favorite Porches. Beautiful work on this one.

this feels like the way it used to when Petroliscious started and that makes me very happy!!! excellent stuff!
I haven't seen this one for a while, that's why IT was so amazing to remembering this Porsche like it was completely new to me. Beautiful car! These Porsches and their owners are the best
Awesome video. Still in love with my Porsche 944 S2 ✌️
Missed you guys. Cheers from Germany!
Glad to see you guys BACK!
Great to see Petrolicious back at it again! Always incredible content, Thank You!
Thanks as always! I was waiting for the weekly video already! We want more Alfa Romeo content as in the past though :)
Beautiful cinematography befitting of such an icon. Welcome back, Petrolicious!
Most beautiful transaxle car I've seen...great edit on the video, too.
This is Petrolicious as I remember it and in the right language!

So glad you are back!
Beautiful job! Thanks for saving it
Love the car, enjoyed the story…so glad you are back!!!! A huge fan from Nova Scotia Canada!
A Porsche video brings out the beauty of petrolicious.
Obscenely good taste in restoration decisions. A beautiful, tasteful result!
I don't care what people say, I really like the Porsche 968. Its a great looking car. The rear wing looks aftermarket. I love that he put a manual transmission in it. That's exactly what I would have done. Thank you.
The wing is a 968 turbo S replica, as is the front bumper.
That transformation was stunning
Wait are we back? IS THIS CHANNEL BACK?!
Outstanding!!!! well done, his parts stash selection is the quite the assortment.
Good stuff. Welcome back!
Patrick, du bist der Beste!
Love it !! I had a 968 back in 1992…. Miss my 968 !
Good story. Owned a new S2 and loved it, moved onto 911s, however keep pondering a 968CS as a daily again. Such a good drivers car!
The passion is back, Go Petrolicious!!!!!!!!
Missed you guys! And what a wonderful car to show! Patrick: viel Spass noch!
Ein echter Hinkuckrt tolles Auto hast du da gebaut 👍👍👍👍🤙🤙
Welcome back, Petrolicius!
What a great video, I often ride past Patrick’s shop by motorcycle since it is located on one of my regular “fun routes” near home. Took me a while to realize the connection to his 944er Teile Shop though, the HP license plate gave it away 😅

Been pumped for this one since I saw the teaser.
Proud member of #nota911gang
Lovely car ❤
Beast! Love it.
Please do a SL R129 ! Happy to see this back!
Love it! I need a 968 in a brighter color some day, maybe Speed Yellow.
Glorious
Welcome back.
I knew a dewd who had a black one. He loved it like a second child. It wasn’t very powerful but it was his Porsche.
Great video! I love you kept it in German
Wow, car looks fantastic, but Patrick’s work is even more impressive! He should open up his own shop. (Unless he already has one)
He has.
Absolutely spot on.. for a 968;) Love the steering wheel and gear stick. I still prefer, aesthetically the Series 1 928 but thats because i stared at it as a 14 year old till it was printed on my brain
Amazing video, those subtitles though!!!
What's wrong with them?
