THIS. I love simcades/arcades that make you progress towards faster cars and better upgrades. FH has none of that probably because they want to sell you MTX. It's kinda sad how they manage to run this franchise into the ground because of greed.

I kinda hate it when devs are against the modding community, especially when the mods don't give you any in-game advantage and are just cosmetic and QOL type.

Nowadays it's either "I give you instant access to the best cars" or you have to grind so much that it becomes frustrating. I prefer the first, at least I can have fun with it, but man, where's the balance of the old racing games where you can have progression without mind numbing grind?
this is not a racing game, this is a game about the illusion that you are cool and collecting cars that cost nothing

"Rebuilt from the ground up" sounds like they created everything from a scratch.. just to just make the same stuff again. Sounds like a waste of time to make it from the ground up if you're not going to change anything.
Sounds like a buncha BS marketing tbh..it almost reminds me of the One X reveal with FM7 and the hosts kept saying "4K" every 5 mins. GT7 isnt "ground up" but since GT sport already had brand new models they ofc can reuse them + make it better
At this point I just want a racing game that doesn’t make me feel like I’m driving on ice, make me drift all the time, or make me do only 40 miles an hour through a turn.

That is my problem with Forza Horizon physics lol. It is either giga understeer, or the rear end is in a (super easy to control) slide. I feel like they have just catered the Horizon series to the drift kids now.

@@smashkiller64 That right there is the problem. There are definitely some developers among Rockstar Games's staff that would love to make a new Midnight Club game but the higher ups are like, "Why? We are straight up making billions each year from a game that turns 10 this year. Why even bother?"

Not sure what happened to the other guys response. Both Saenu and Sepi disliked each other since FH4. Sepi is twisting things to his favour.
You won’t be immune to ban by being close to ISAD or any creator. Nalak and CJ4567 are examples of still being banned regardless.

Save limits for tunes and liveries is ridiculous ongoing issue for the series. You can't freely customize cars, which is one of the features they are 'proud of' and yet they keep releasing new cars.
Yeah they need to focus more on tuning and customization and less on bloated car lists. There's really no reason for more than 100 cars other than making people check in constantly to try to get rare seasonal cars. MCLA has 58 cars and I've played through that game four times, never bored for a second. I currently have 800+ cars in FH5, 100+ of those are dupes and I'm burdened with the task of removing those cars slowly, one by one, too many cars is a game ruining problem, this is my last Forza game.
Yeah honestly that is the most stupid thing that they have kept in the game, the limits were there for the oldest of oldest gen consoles where storage is very limited. But now we can add more storage whenever we want.

About the Paint thing, it was mostly beacuse the painters part of Community (with the hypocrite guy that call tool users cheaters is part of) felt theatned with the tool and started asking PG to be less tolareant of it

Yooo I completely forgot that I got banned from the community on FH5, like 3 days after I got the game, I got banned for sharing an "offensive livery", it was a basic Cop Car livery with spanish text on it ...ffs...never knew I could contest it LMAO
I mean honestly when the game came out, I've played through so many Forza games already so I just gave myself like half a million wheelspins. Didn't want to grind again, even though it was comically easy to obtain large amounts of credits over a short amount of time. I really only play for the drifting/drag racing and have been tuning long since FM4. I enjoy the Motorsport games much better for a "Campaign". I wish they'd add more detailed elements that are in Gran Turismo, because I prefer Motorsports physics. More sim features and gimmicks.
Horizon needs help in general. They need to revamp the formula and stop treating it like an open world motorsports game. It needs to be more car culture and car meet centered, with more customization and accessibility. FH3 kind of had that vibe to it but it wasn't within the game itself, we the community made it, and the map had a lot of areas that suited that vibe as well.
I agree on that, i dont mind the easy/spoiled progression in horizon, but it needs to be improved on customization and car culture, FH devs are just good at making a game with 0 knowledge about cars and what gamers wants.
"over 18 million players" thats a big lie. Those numbers are just inflated because of people played the game just once on gamepass.
It doesn't track current players like steam (or even older games that had this feature integrated in the game). The real count players are below the registered players in the hot wheels expansion. We'll see the current count once the rally expansion is avalaible.

Fh5 had bigger improvements than fh4, for example, engines sounds, features like revving your car while upgrading in garage and others, but still the game feels exactly the same as fh4, i mean these improvements that i have mentioned can be put in fh4 as a major update and all good, but why the hell they made a new game same to the previous one just to put these additions? (Money) dick move... I honestly lost interest in forza horizon.. racing games are dead these days either way. Rip.

It would be nice if we had some quality content built upon FH5, but its such a dated foundation already, they're better off starting from scratch.
Here's hoping the upcoming competition (the crew, test drive) shakes Forza's boots to get something innovative again.

I don't think Gt7 being the worst in the series, if not one of the worst arcade/simcade games ever will save Forza, it Will probably mean they'll also put in no effort just like the Gt7 Devs.
I think horizon 5 should be the last, it's obvious the devs think the community will stand with some much recycled content.
To this day, "fun loving community" is my only impression towards forza.
As someone who enjoys open-sourced stuff, i just hate how can't we just mod stuff and use it purely for fun (which is literally harmless) and yet devs go the 1984 against mods. honestly disappointing.
horizon has no progression so the game becomes boring in like 2 or 3 days of playing it.
glad that xenia can now run the first two forza horizons and the older motorsport titles, if the new ones are shit at least we have a fallback to the good old one

the crack that exists out there for forza horizon 5, has a working online crack. i had my windows account and i was playing a game i hadnt paid for, online, with other real people, and my name was on the leaderboards.
1 year and a half (uninstalled, but technically, "and counting") and i didnt get banned

Feels like a game for kids whose dad has some classic they don't drive. It has amazing basics but its boring. Its like clean car Instagram the game. Other games do racing experiences better. Are more focused.

I was going to buy fh5 after having it in game pass but then I read the reviews and was like yeaaaaahh nvm
ya that fps giving u faster times has been a thing in forza for a long time. also no the next forza isn't gonna make me an old forza stan come back. fh5 was and still is a complete shitshow that i overpaid for
next forza Motorsport is just another forza, and I'm skipping it to next FH title, I play it casually, never competitively, its more like a sand box and collecting cars to me, if I want competitive, I have other racing games.
I've been playing forza h5 since september of 2022 and that was my first ever forza since I could finally afford a good laptop to play forza at that time. At first I quite enjoyed a lot, then around December of 2022 it kinda got a little bit boring for me but now it's just..
i would play forza horzion 5 if they release cars that make sense to a racing game. And not *coughs* buggies, or weirdly atvs, prerunners no one cares about. I wouldn't care about the progression if the game has meaningful cars
Forza Motorsport 4 was it man. You started off in a slow as hell car, upgraded it, won more races, bought better cars and slowly climbed the ladder. It actually felt good and rewarding to get a car as a prize for winning a race. The Motorsports after that, lost the charm that 4 had.
I am also very curious about the new motorsport, but the fact that forza aero is still here and we still don't have any real gameplay doesn't make me any optymistic. We know basically nothing about this game in terms of gameplay, progression or online, so I'm not that hyped
Kinda repeating the same thingn as everyone else but progression definetly got worse, i still remember working really hard to get the Reventón and that is still one my proudest moments in racing games, and then comes Horizon 5 and you can get the most exclusive cars on the planet in a short amount of time

Forza has so much fucking potential but they never use it, they keep recycling the same shit. It's sad man.
My biggest gripe with this game is the recycled content. Lack of engine swaps availability, and unrealistic power numbers with engine upgrades. Cars are on the streets with 800-2000+hp. Only trucks , SUVs , and old muscle cars only get the high power engine swaps. Not practical for this day and age.

Why i dont use vinyl Editor in Forza? Because its screwed. EVERYTIME i want to mirror layers from left to right (or vice versa), editor do it with wrong height of vinyls. "Build from ground up"... if thats true, they are so freakin dump, they repeated, recreated same issue for what, twelve times?
The same problem with everything now. No challenge. Roads are wide curbs do nothing the cars are too ez to drive and supercars can go offroad like theyre on pavement.
It would be nice, if the game even launched at all on my computer - it just crashes after the Turn 10 screen... I've lost hope ...
Keep the ground up = is a free sideway note to refer properly at the co-relation with the same development in the (2013-2019) EA game release cycle. More convenient than paying your aesthetic sweet taxes. 😋
the last horizon game i played was so boring that i can't even remember if it was the 4 or 5th one, i really don't get how anyone can play this stuff for longer than 4 ish hours

Fh5 has no seasons. Winters in fh4 changed gameplay and appearance greatly. And other seasons differed in colors dramatically. It didn't let you get bored
To be fair tropical region like Mexico doesn't really have that diverse of season like Britain

The forza horizon genre just needs better physics! Driving cars with little power are much more boring to drive than in real life, becauseof the oversimplified physics. Only thing annoying me. I wish they had sim physics, at least like Forza motorsport
most fun Ive ever had in a racing series. Actually topped NFS2-5 for me. If you are super hardcore racing god, maybe its not the game for you but I love the open world racing aspect. I feel like FH4 was harder but Im still challenged by 5 at times.
My biggest problem is I can't play the good horizons (3 and 4) that are on pc because after everything I tried they still crash like crazy. I have a powerful computer too so it's not a gpu, cpu, or ram issue or whatever
For the crashing issue (for horizon 4 atleast) you need to downgrade your Nvidia drivers to October 2022 ones.

Motorsport titles with their custom rules are a great thing, but not if there is only a few or one car that falls under that custom ruleset. If you broaden the ruleset, you just get FH levels of randomness.

Hey KuruHS, why don't you try speedrunning distance? Its literally built for speedrunning, have a look at some of the speedruns people did in the game.
i prefered the crew so don't care if forza horizon dissapears for good, that game suck ass
Personally I find FH5 best racing game I've played so far and I've played for example all Need For Speeds, Midnight clubs etc.
To me it's the most in depth and fun racing playground i've ever played. The crew 2 coming close behind it. Only reason the crew 2 doesn't win is because the handling is super arcadey and tuning doesn't change a lot.
Maybe it's a good thing, that I'm not into Forza...
Fh Devs basically wants more quantity more than quality.
About this PC Hardware and game settings, it was always like this that the more FPS you got, the more quicker the game is. Or like the responsiveness from your keyboard or controller or whatever on what you see at the screen is just way better, the issue of course is called "Input Lag". Any or almost any game has it unfortunately but depending how a game is managed if you are already getting a better time because of fps or some other changes rather than just getting a bit more reactions.
I would understand it in a sim game where you just unlock the FPS Set all to maximum anyway and gain with it more than with V-Sync also depending who got what display because if you get like high Refresh Rate and just smooth it out with the option set on then you are still in a comfortable zone with responsiveness but when it is a game like Forza Horizon or in general there should be a bit more fun or close racing and the games more polished than they was. I don't know why it has to be still happening. I don't believe devs can't mount a proper game like... Do they overdo features or codes in the game or the technology is not helping or eating them? I can't never myself answer to this. I heard a lot of times that they should have everything easier to put into the game but it is not still happening when we look at the amount of bugs.
In my eSports career where I got to drive rallying or played as well for example F1 or games including Forza Horizon. I got hit by these issues so many times that it is disappointing you lose sometimes because of hardware or some cheating and not because of real skill and basically what your head, your hands, your eyes, what a human is doing in general.
Also how many times I was playing on high settings or even ultra to enjoy the game and have lots of information on the road or whatever where someone searched for getting more information because of for example turning off half of the bushes on the road or gaining even more FPS, or sometimes other things helped like better internet or whatever. I mean when you think about it the consoles and Gran Turismo have it nice they play on one platform and only the internet can ruin a bit of your online experience but the rest is slightly more equal even when you got like 3 or 4 different PS consoles version now to play GT7, I mean PS4, Slim, Pro and PS5.

They reuse some assets yea but at least they dont abuse you with MTX like GT7 does, you just need but a DLC pack that comes with all extra paid content and most updated cars are free anyways, besides some are old cars from older forzas

Meanwhile, a supercar featured in a 5€ *pack* for a Forza game easily costs 20€ *alone* in GT7. Fucking Sony.
To be fair, that video Kuru's been reacting gives me plenty of Sony Pony vibes. Pointing at the Forza franchise for recycling cars from an older generation (that target the exact same 1080p resolution) while having *GTPS-motherfucking-P* cars in GT5 and GT6 remastered for eight-to-sixteen times their original target resolution, plus comparisons *only* with GT games like _Project: CARS 3_ suddenly faded out of the face of Earth and the GT music always in the background. I could bet that guy posted something in 2020 back when the hoax of the smoking Series X.

The engine sounds when i are turning my car was sometimes there and sometimes I needed to load it multiple times.

I hate it when people critique game studios for needing to make money. It’s not a charity, Devs, publishing, marketing and support need to be paid every month.

If these points weren't bad enough, on console the game literally turns off your ability to turn using a controller. Some races my same car can turn perfectly then in most of my races I have to slow down to 20km/h to even get the car to turn. I've tested this on 4 new controllers (as I thought it was a problem on my end) nope, the game doesn't want you to succeed. The game continually punishes me for getting better.
Were you using manual transmission? I recall having something similar, the game just wouldn't let me shift down and turn at the same time.
