I have had plenty of LGs here in Brazil, the latest is very similar to that model, though it's of the "FLATRON" line. It is very deep, and has a very similar chassis to that one, with the little housing for the neck board and all. The flat screen is excellent for 480i content, either via composite or component, but I don't like how it displays 240p, since it has a somewhat low line count, the image is kinda "grainy" looking. One thing to notice, it's very easy to go into LGs service menu with any remote: just press menu on both the remote and the set at the exact same time for 5 seconds or so, and it should pop up.
I have an model like this one mines a 29fs2alx-tg. All my retro games have black bars like yours is that just pal tvs that do that. The geometry isn’t the worst on mine but there’s a bow on the right side. Quality through component is surprisingly good. Lg to me is cheap but has actually good quality tubes. Keep up the awesome videos mate.
I’ve got a 51cm LG with component in my collection, it’s a Flatron not the super slim model....very nice TV prob has the best picture out of all my consumer sets....480i content looks really nice on it compared to the older TVs
Only lg crt I have ever come across was a lafinion specified as 100hz it did 480i, 480P an 1080i. Though it was forced to widescreen though component, composite you could change aspect ratio. I hated the tv and gave it away I hope the person who got it from me found it less frustrating. It had some insane speakers and is the heaviest crt I have ever lifted.
I know what you mean. Probably the same one i had too. Cosmetically the tv looks flash, smooth with its shiny black finish on the outside. was not a keeper at all from memory though. I take you are in Australia? LG very common here.
@@rgbrob New Zealand, 100% looked super flash it would have cost a pretty penny back in the day, it’s been the only lg crt that I have seen advertised anywhere in a year and a bit.

ill have to lookout for that model. They do seem pretty reliable LG.
