It’s a good initiative no doubt but it will be more interesting what will happened to the new 20 years age employees after completion of this project. May be they’ll face layoffs or something 🤔 as far as I know National Archive of India is paying only 12000 salary to the employees
No protection such as facemask or gloves visible when handling these precious, irreplacable documents. Look at the way they break the binding and scan the pages, no different from a street xerox vendor. So much carelessness and no pride in the work they are doing. I could see no professionalism anywhere, just chalta-hai, kaam chalao attitude. Very sad...
Everyone is handling these old papers so roughly! Please train your staff to handle gently. Even the man giving info is just slapping the bundles roughly. Come on dude! No self respecting archivist should handle anything like this. It is a momentous task, very nice initiative, but truly hope the archives stay safe and in good condition throughout the process. 'Repairing' sounds very dicey from what I'm seeing, instead the focus should be on preserving. Also, DEFILING them by putting numbers and stuff 🤦♀🤦🤦♂
People who are working in the rooms must wear gloves
haha. india hai.
Sabzi aur paseena bhi to lgaana hai papers pe😂
Handling very brittle and fragile documents, nee not possible to put on gloves.
No, it is prefered to use bare hands. Gloves damages the paper.
Great effort by the government 🙏
