I love a good lazy river. Just my speed. That kaleidoscope effect looks amazing!
We've been busy, but hope to get over there soon!
@AdventureIsOutThere These are supposed to be the slower months, haha! Taking advantage of all the locals deals? (Oh yeah, and dealing with sports stuff leading up to some big football game happening sometime this month, I believe...)

Thanks for all of the info. So glad you are doing this every month. This was a great idea for locals and visitors. Hey, what happened to the church across from Calhoun's. I didn't see it in the video unless I missed it. Thanks for sharing and as always, another great video. Thanks for all of your hard work.
We mentioned the church being demolished & show the new parking lot there now I believe in both DEC & JAN updates. Happy to help, thanks for your support Renee!
Thanks for your video update and looking good places ❤
Our pleasure!
I’ve been watching a lot of your videos because I’m head up there in April. Hope that’s not a crazy month!! Thanks for the informative videos.
April shouldn’t be too bad, especially if most kids are in school!
I was waiting for this. Thank you for doing this video. I wish red's opened sooner. We will miss it by a few days. 😢😢
Our pleasure…next time!
We’ve lived in the area 20 years. I’d never live anywhere else. The mountains are magical. We do avoid the Parkway though. Lol
We’ve been here for six years and love it too!
Needed that drive today. Thank you!
Happy to bring you along Aaron!
I'll be there in just over a week. Really looking forward to it. First time there and this video was so informative.

Well, you convinced me that we need to visit next February. Getting through January & February in the suburbs of Chicago is the worst! I think a vacay to TN would lift my spirits! Thanks for all the info.

So glad I checked out this video I'm go8ng to gatlinburg on March the 8th for a week. I assumed Hollywood would be closed bc it's still winter. But it opens the day after we get there. Too cool! My kids are gonna be so happy.
We hope you have a great time, and our other Dollywood videos help you out!

Hi! Thank you for sharing! We will be in Pigeon Forge the first weekend in March for my birthday! Can't wait! Have you eaten at Chesapeake's yet? I feel like I've seen this in another video, but I can't remember.
Happy Early birthday! 🥳 Here is our review of Chesapeake’s 👉. th-cam.com/video/GFS4j8-W0FM/w-d-xo.html

Looking forward to being there in March.
Hope you have a wonderful time in March!

Just got here and plan to hit up Skyland Ranch.
Thanks for the great find on Skyland Ranch. Hi from Panama City, Florida!
Our pleasure, hope you have a great time!
I love gatilnburg
Such a helpful video.👍
Happy to help!
The Tom Ka soup and dumplings at The Baht were delicious 😋
Thanks Amanda for the suggestion!
Have you heard what they are going to do with the adventure course/zip line portion of Paula deens lumberjack show? As in like re open it or put something new there?
Nothing official yet.
Crossing my fingers that the Thai restaurant gets it right. We don’t have a good Thai restaurant at yet in eastern Tennessee yet, so I am really hopeful and excited to try it!
The owner is from Thailand, we hope to try it next week after going to the Aquarium! 🍜
I love Thai food. Can't wait to check out The Baht
We are hoping to try it next week after taking the kids to the Aquarium!
First of all thanks for great updates and showing us your view as you drive. I really can’t wait to visit Red’s for my hubby. And also,eh is it just me or was “the car” missing from it’s crazy parking spot? I didn’t notice the BMW as you drove by but maybe I missed it.
Our pleasure! It was not there when I drove by.
@@AdventureIsOutThere I can’t believe it was actually gone.
Is the Lumberjack square going to open back up in the spring?
The square itself is open as far as all the shops & restaurants there. They ceased operations of the Adventure Park only. We are not sure if it will ever re-open or not at this point.
@@AdventureIsOutThere Wow! Thank you for responding. We will be up in two weeks! I love the GSM! ♥️
Awww, no snow.
Ryan I always enjoy your update videos. Quite informative. But I would like to ask. Why did the Lumberjack place close down? I was hoping to go there next trip up.
The show is still running. The made a decision to cease operations (most likely due to costs exceeding revenue). I am not 100% sure if or when it will reopen. Thanks TCD!
@@AdventureIsOutThere Thanks bro. Hopefully everything will be open and operating when we come.
@@thecoolestdad 👍
Your information is wonderful, say is the Hillbilly village still open
Thanks Jean! The Hillbilly Village must have been before our time so not sure it's still around.
Is the adventure park at the lumberjack thing shut down for good or just the winter time ? 😢
It’s an indefinite shutdown at this point. I would hope they eventually find a way to get it profitable again & open it back up.
One thing i heard thats going into Gatlinburg. Is a second pizza Rio
We have previously covered it & will again when the date is finalized. Thanks!
LOVE your videos but asked a question several times about a great area to move too within an hour ish from pigeon forge area? We want a place to go a few times a year since we are retired. Do not plan to use as a rental want it just for us. If you could list a few great little towns would be great
I would also check out Townsend, Seymour, Kodak & Newport TN. Hope this helps!
When you said the Paula Deen adventure park was closed down - just for the season?
I was there today, it still looks as though it's indefinitely. The Lumberjack show is still running and will pick up in March.
Great video! I'm planning a trip to this area in 2 weeks from now mid-February 2024, and want to take advantage of that special you mentioned at Rowdy Bear's Smoky Mountain Snowpark, but don't see that special on their website. Can you tell me how to get it?
You can see it listed if you scroll a little bit on their sister company SkyLand Ranch: facebook.com/SkyLandRanchTN
Perhaps give them a call and ask confirm you can walk up and get this deal since it's not an option on their website right now. We hope you have a wonderful time while you are here Josie!
Will do, thanks so much!

Awesome I’ll keep an eye out for you when I’m in the park!
Is Paula Deans lumberjack shutdown for the winter.
The show is not, just more limited number of shows in February.
@@AdventureIsOutThere Thank you for your response. Love your channel.

Have you ever visit Arizona?
Just when we cross the Hoover dam in this video: th-cam.com/video/3x0cqKG4Orw/w-d-xo.html
I would like to go in the pool
We hope to try it soon, so many places to go only so much time to do it all!

Great video! The only thing that bothers me is the Titanic Ice Cream shop. It seems tacky and low-brow to have an ice cream shop about one of the biggest tragedies that have ever been around where many people, including children, died horrifically. It would be like having a 9/11 ice cream shop, in my opinion.
As a firefighter who has visited the 9/11 memorial we don't see the comparison at all. They utilize Joy Ice Cream Cones which was started from a descendent of a titanic survivor. It is dated pre-titanic in Europe and a celebration of the survivors and is done in a respectful manner in our opinions.
@@AdventureIsOutThere I'm sorry but in my opinion that's how I see it. I see it the same way I see 9/11 or the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. If a museum of these tragedies had a themed ice cream shop with a mascot on the front to make a profit, people would side-eye it.
@@lostchild06 As a firefighter/paramedic who has visited the 9/11 memorial, I would absolutely disagree. They served frozen custard on board the titanic. I don't know any museum covering tradgedy that doesn't have some form of gift shop/food options.
It was a tragedy that people passed away hitting an iceberg in frozen water. Now they're opening a frozen custard right next door ice cream shop. What are they going to have a special the iceberg custard? Who's brilliant idea was this?
We have been to MANY museums (Holocaust, World War 2, etc) that are associated with tragedy that have gift shops, cafes, etc. for the people visiting.
That's what I said! It's pretty low-brow in my opinion.
Over price hell
