    You are a brave one. Years ago we made the mistake of visiting Pigeon Forge during July. We couldn't stay out too long, even at night because the humidity was so high. We enjoy your videos so much. They are the most informative of any I have seen. You are definitely the man in the know. God bless👼

      We've gone at all times of the year and the first week in January is our favorite! Christmas lights are still up, no crowds anywhere, mountains still beautiful, Cades Cove is empty, the Dome is empty, restaurants are empty, almost no traffic, and the lowest motel rates of the year! Gatlinburg with snow is awesome too! At Howard Johnson's in Gatlinburg we paid around $200 for the week Sun-Fri. We've made it a yearly trip! If you'd like our list of the best restaurants let me know and I'll send it! Lol

    I'm a broken record of appreciation for how you make informative, drama-free videos. Thank you for continuing to be factual, to the point, and down-to-earth with your content. Your channel is my one source of information for the area. Have you ever considered doing a tour of Townsend? Many thanks for how you do what you do!

    Your channel is one of my favorites. Very informative on all subjects with traveling and attractions. And it helps that it’s fun to watch with the family. Planning a second trip to pigeon forge in October. Can’t wait to try the pizza place from your video a year ago. Thanks so much! 🍕 🚘 🐻

    Thanks Ryan, love your videos. Only minor comment, whenever you are driving from the 40 to Sevierville you never mention the Indian Trading Post, or the Antique Mall almost next door. Both are great places to checkout. I am biased of course since we live within walking distance. But still, well worth taking a look at. The Indian Trading Post reminds be of similar establishments in New Mexico and Arizona, and the Antique Mall is the largest I have visited with 2 floors and a huge collection of individually run booths. Keep up the great videos!

    Awesome update video, we live in middle georgia, and have been in the Gatlinburg and pigeon forge area over the past 3 years, and thanks to all of you TH-camrs for all the updates, and new restaurants , and businesses opening there, we are seniors so we always look forward to visiting, unfortunately our most recent visit after spring break , Hwy 441 was closed trying to get back home to middle Georgia, but the park directors gave us the detour around some back roads and got us home late in the evening ??

    I definitely want to experience the Digging Zone. Would want to see the Fourth Of July parade. Going to Alaska for a month in July. The UT Medical Center doctors said I should be able to go to Alaska. Looking forward to getting back to the area in August etc.
    I only live 3 miles from UVA medical center. However, I am very blessed to receive excellent care in Tennessee. As soon as the Sevierville emergency people connected the heart monitoring equipment, I and them parroted, she is having heart attack. I am loving Tennessee even more for saving my life!!!!!
    PS. Looking forward to seeing your Fourth of July coverage!!!!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!

      @AdventureIsOutThere  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I am always a big fan of having our vehicle near by, in case we want to get something from the car or leave early. You can do either, but I would just try to arrive early & park on site.

    • @archaney
      @archaney 8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I have done both. With kids, and in general, I prefer to have my vehicle close so we park at Dollywood. But when parking is packed at Dollywood we have ridden the trolley. Taking the trolley was easy. Leaving at peak exit times can mean a wait to get a trolley back to Patriot Park.

    We just got home from there. Been there before. With my experience in Gatlinburg this trip I will never go back to Gatlinsburg. Plenty of other things to do in that Area than sit in Traffic. Took me over half an hour to go about 3/4 of a Mile. Alot of Places I liked have moved out to Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg is just an Expensive Tourist Trap with NO parking unless you pay $20 to Park and Traffic is absolutely horrible. You don't even move. Like I said. I will never go back to Gatlinsburg.

      The trick with Gatlinburg is that you have to stay in town. We stayed for 6 weeks once and had a great time. The whole town is easy to walk and it is so small that you can walk from one end to the other without getting tired. But you are right, if you drive there during summer vacation it is a bit hectic, we stayed middle winter.

    • @jebbthetrainkid1281
      @jebbthetrainkid1281 15 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @HTGGeorge Yes it is. We went on Tuesday and it was Fine and easy to drive through. Saturday was a Complete Nighmare driving through there it would have made a Preacher Cuss. And people really take advantage of you with those Paid Parking Lots charging $20.00. I've learned my Lesson lol. There's enough for me to do in Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. This is where I will visit next Time we go.

      @@jebbthetrainkid1281 Weekdays are great. We are there about once a month, usually on a Friday. A couple of parking tricks, do like Ryan does and park at the park right at the entrance, just over the bridge and walk in. Or park at the Smoky Mountain visitor center and take the tram in. Or if you want to be in town the city parking structure right at the big right turn into town is $10 or there is a church in the middle of town that also charges $10. You can also park along the river for free if you get there early enough to get a space. Or if you are adventurous get a $5 day parking pass for the national forest and park just outside town at the top and walk in from there. Or better yet, park in the national forest at the top and walk into the forest instead, there is an easy hiking trail that goes from the top of Gatlinburg up to the Sugarland Visitors Center, it's about 5-6 miles round trip. Or even better still, at the big right turn into town go to the the left instead and visit the Arts and Crafts community, several really neat little arts and craft shopping areas, I think the whole circle drive has almost 200 little stores, with free parking, and well worth a day or two exploring. Whole different vibe from Gatlinburg.

      It’s our understanding they were offered money, but it was rejected . The questions to be answered is how much did the city offer them & what was the actual value at the time of the offer. Sweat equity can be subjective.
