Good video, I am new to the platform just got a 2019 440i coupe and want to run E85. What mfg should I look at for the sensor kit and tune? Can I get everything from MHD or Kies? Thanks again for any suggestions.
I do not know how it is with gen 1 B58. For the m340i gen 2 b58 it seems oil temp stays always 110 degrees Celsius (230 degree Fahrenheit), i think that is very positive to get rid of condensation in oil.
Yep temps on gen 1 are very good and consistent. i don't know anyone with overheating issues.
Hi Friend Please reply , I have bought 2018 g30 540i and when engine idleing , rpm not moves but i feel slight vibration time to time i checked rpm on Bimmerlink Also Cylinder Missfire rpm is 650-675 missfire 0 i read that its normal , Engine is strong Quiet Spark plugs changed 30k ago at bmw engine has 93tkm , i have warranty for engine and gearbox still annoys me!
I don't ever see anyone with a B58 use a catch can. What are your thoughts on incorporating a catch can into a B58 build?
I'll talk about it in a future video but generally it's not needed

What’s your thoughts on fuel lubricants? I run Uplon TechniPlate synthetic lubricant, blends with ethanol and methanol. Added to every ethanol blend fill up.
They probably work fine just not 100% necessary
I’m curious, that small red filter you’ve got next to the intake, what is it? I’ve been looking online and can’t really see any aftermarket ccv systems (if that’s what it is) that look like that. Thanks :)

Thanks kern, so I can run mhd stg 2+ w the mhd flex fuel and be fine?? No tuner needed? And just fill up 93 w/o no worries of switching Maps?
Their flex fuel tune can run any mix as long as you have a flex kit

I’ve noticed the MHD flex fuel kit specifies that it’s only for the automatics. For the manuals, do you know if the other flex fuel kits out there will work with the manual transmission?
the other kits work for manual. MHD plugs in differently and the manual cars don't have the same connections. they're working on a separate solution for manual cars.

My HPFP has been dipping followed by overpressure and neither I nor PTF can figure out why (Stage 2 93, Shell gas). PTF sent me a revised map with reduced power but the issue persisted. Any input would be extremely appreciated as I need to get this sorted before I move to E85.

Whenever you do your 91/93 octane switches from E85, how do you flash your car? Do you wait until it's almost empty and then just flash at the gas station? Is it safe to have let's say 5% of your E mix still in the tank whenever you flash back to a 91/93 map?
It just depends. You need to log your car to see how it performs. I have more than enough fueling to run a bit of ethanol on my pump gas tune so it's not really a concern.
hi dude, I just bought a B58tu pompe for my m140i and just wanted to know if it is compatible with full E85 with the new MHD kit (the e85 sensor) before to buy mhd licence
Cause somes told me it run only with dorsh stage 2... so who is right?
It's designed to work with tu pump minimum
Just filled up on e85 for the first time coming from a 93 stage 2+ tune MHD. I was wondering how long do I have to wait to start stomping on it? I’ve read that I have to go thru a full tank of e85 before I can start giving it full boost. Was just tryna get some insight so I don’t break anything.
Took me maybe 5 miles for it to fully equalize. Did you flash an E85 map? Or do you have a flex fuel kit?

Yeah if you filled up with E85 on an almost empty tank it'll level out in a few miles. You don't have to run a whole tank

hey kern, if I get a bootmod3 flex fuel kit and i'm running a gc turbo on custom 93 tune, could the tuner be able to take advantage of the fuel kit and retune to allow for flex fuel, or am i stuck running a bootmod3 ots map if i want the flexibility?
You will need to have him tune a e30 map for you and a pump map for you and then he can send you a map that flexes between them
Yes a custom tuner can do it for you
