This definitely one of the best NAMM 2024 videos of not only cool, but also a lot of useful gear either to upgrade to, or even hop on to! Great video, Thanks!!
This is amazing Mr. Uhl! I have been looking through youtube for videos specifically like this, but haven't had any luck at all. I should have just "waited for Scott" as you are the man. Thanks so much for this and all the work you do for us.
Replay!!! I know several retailers that go to NAMM and say its draining and never get to see it all. Thank You for all that you covered in this video!!
Thank You so much Scott ! Your videos have helped me a lot when making gear decisions... Super Appreciate your Hard Work and Talent 🤘🤘🤘🤘 Lots of cool stuff here too ! 🎸🎸🎸
Yup, just so much to see and to image how small a snapshot even this lineup must have represented vs the totality of the show. Living up here in Canada I've never been to NAMM, but it must feel almost surreal. I'm starting to lock down my setup and close to where I think I want to be for my portable full-show production setup. Hope to be able to share that later. For now thanks for widening so many horizons with all of these videos!
Lutefish product at the end was an amazing concept! Love to hear more about that! Also, while there were so many amazing products the offerings from Mackie were pretty astonishing.... some amazingly flexible products! Oh, and the Erae Touch... couldn't you just imagine if that instrument had been in the hands of the aliens of the original Star Wars movie in the bar scene? Seriously mind-blowing.
Yeah they just launched their kickstarter for the Erae II as well. It’s such an amazing instrument! Thanks for watching. I got the ShowBox and will be reviewing that soon 🤘
Great Video Scott. It is refreshing to see such new gear. NAMM felt stale for years.. Looking forward to seeing a deeper dive on several of these products!
Thank you for this video Scott! Honestly, for the amount of things you cover, this is the perfect length! Thank you for organizing an editing to be very enjoyable to watch, while feeling fast paced!
Thank you, I’m glad to hear that. I had over 100 minutes of stuff and had to trim it down, which took a long time. Glad the pacing still felt great! I personally try for that, because slow paced TH-cam videos drive me nuts
I am so impressed with Mooer! I got their 2x looper and loved it, then DD then Reverb (best one out of all of them, and I have a lot of Reverbs)then the preampx2 and the cab x2 I’m glad I held off the p1 and P2! Great video! Thanks for your investigative reporting!
I went to NAMM 2024 and I have to say you knew more of what to look for than I did. The manufacturers I was mostly interested in just didn't show up but I guess that leaves the door open for the new hungry ones. Great job. Great channel.
Thank you! And it was actually my first NAMM. I haven’t been able to go the last 3 years. So I kind of just wandered around and filmed when I saw something I was interested in
Awesome Namm 2024 overview you really did an amazing job again. Really much appreciate your calm, well structured and valuable created content. Thank you again for boosting my inspiration level. Kind musical regards from out of Finland.
Thanks Scott...I planned to go to NAMM this year but life got in the way....too many gigs! a good thing...next year before. It was cool to experience NAMM through the Scott Lens....great time....Looking forward to seeing some in depth reviews. I have some products I want to send you to check out and try live...I am also up for collaborating on ideas and designs....you'll see what I mean soon.
Damn, Scott. It's like you've channeled me by selecting stuff that I'd be interested in. Super comprehensive NAMM coverage - best I've seen. I figure you've saved me about $1K in plane fare, hotel and expenses. Sweet job.
This vid was great. Thank u for all the info. I just found your channel and think it's great. All of the material you're covering is very informative for live musicians! Keep up the great work!
23:30 Sound Devices is know more for the film and video production space. But these are really high end gear that's usually built for the beating in various conditions. I've know about their multitrack recorders for film. Very solid build, it's virtually weather proof. Very high sample rates with one of the best preamps. In my sound design experience, I've only mixed one production where the sound guy used Sound Devices. Commonly, it's Zoom or Tascam. I never knew they made wireless devices for instruments.

Great running into you! I didn’t grab a picture because you were the first person I ran into right when I got there. But thank you for saying hello man, I really appreciate it!
Wow - I should have gotten mentally prepared for this - my head is spinning! LOL!! 3 minutes in & I've hit the back arrow at least 20 times! Great work, Scott Uhl!!!!

Your video is like Christmas for gearheads like me, awesome coverage Scott! That Lectronics M2 IEM setup is incredibly compact, I'd love this to be a trend now - 4 independent mono channels on half of 1U rack space . Price is out of my range though. If you don't mind me asking - do you still use that ATW 3255 as your main IEM? I'm in store for one and was wondering if you consider it above or below G4 - reliability wise.
Yeah man, being there was Christmas for sure! And yes, the M2 is truly incredible. Fully digital and so many channels in a compact space. Really brilliant. And yes the AT is my main one I use in my IEM rack. If I do not bring my IEM rack to a gig, I’ll bring my portable sennheiser one just because it’s portable. But the AT is my favorite one so far
Hi Scott, I'm a bit late here, but great video. It seems like all of the NAMM videos I've watched all covered the same products, but you video showcased a lot of products I hadn't seen (thanks!). I hope you do another one at next year's NAMM. Oh, and in the future, a "four hour video" on the interesting products at NAMM wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
Thanks Scott, I was not able to attend this year as I have been working in Shanghai for a few months and should return to the U.S. mid March. You made it feel like I was there and you once again gave me GAS
Good evening my name is Billy Fields. My band is called American Fields. You sounds like a kid in a candy store. Thanks you for showing all the great things for all musicians.
Yeah! It was great to meet him! Great dude. He actually told me about the Neural DSP booth so I didn’t waste my time hahaha. But when I randomly found it I had to get footage of it
hey man! Awesome video Scott. One suggestion tho: would have been better if you split it to 3-4 parts. Having all of it together caused the tagged sections to be very small to find. Also, splitting to a few videos likely would have gotten you more views. It's just a thought. Either way - fantastic. Thanks for covering it all.
Thanks, yeah I considered it for sure. They should be able to breakdown the chapters on the app though, and on desktop you can click the individual chapters that you want too. But I see what you mean. Thanks for watching!
Wow, best NAMM video I've seen. You rock! Thanks Scott.
