- We hike Wheeler Peak in Great Basin National Park. At just over 13,000 feet, Mount Wheeler is Nevada's second highest mountain. Great Basin National Park is another hidden gem in the national park system. Although it is a full days drive from... anything, I would still go out of my way to visit this area of the country.

Wheeler Peak was challenging but enjoyable all at the same time. It was one of our favorites!
Just knocked this hike out 2 days ago. Beautiful views once you get to the top but all that scree doesn't help and the steep climb at the end doesn't make it easy. Well worth it and hanging out in Baker wasn't too bad either.
This is easily one of our most memorable hikes.
