very cool concept, inspired me to try to make something similar for my honda key fob. gotta find a way to design around the key design, button pad, and immobilizer chip first
6:14 the problem is not the friction but the weight of the key I made a otf blade out of wood but it was too light to work. So I put some coins inside the blade (the blade was thin sheets of wood) and it worked without any issue
I understand what you mean, in my case I think the rubber band is just too weak and the key is too heavy for the rubber band. Thanks for the suggestion!
Unfortunately not. The files are not print-ready and as you can see in the video the mechanism doesn't work properly. Therefore I won't publish the files. However there should be more downloadable files available on sites like Thingiverse. I hope you can find something there!
