    This mechanism works exactly the same way Colin Furze's "Assassins Creed knife" works.
    The funny thing is that Colin Furze didn't go into detail on how his mechanism works, the ony big differences is that colin furze made it entirely out of metal and he added a string to open it from a distance.

    • @JohnHeisz
      @JohnHeisz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      +sasja de vries
      You should watch his again, since they are definitely not exactly the same.

    • @sasjadevries
      @sasjadevries 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      John Heisz Yeah it's different, but I meant it works with the same principle.
      I mean in his mechanism there is also a lever the putting spring-tension on a bar(with cutting blade) and then suddenly releases a latch on the side.
      Exactly the same principle with a totally different interpretation.
      It's really differences like: he put both notches on one side, his main springs are under tension in stead of compression. Just like car transmissions, whether it's a dual clutch, manual or planetary one they are all called transmissions and fulfill the same task.

    • @Deadi12
      @Deadi12 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +sasja de vries its nothing new that is how almost all double action otf's work. The principal is no secret its just every knife does it in a slightly different way.

      It would be pretty stupid of him to make a metal version and put it on YT. These things are illegal.

    • @Rhainee
      @Rhainee 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is not illegal to make them nor own them on private property.
      However, taking them into public would be illegal but then again, i could easily carry around a STANDARD knife of which Mr Heisz has made plenty of... that too would be illegal.
      You then have people like Jimmy Diresta making and modifying things like this all the time. You think Jimmy Diresta is stupid? Oh and if you don't know who Diresta is then i highly suggest you go check him out :)
      Anyway back to the point. Your comment is pretty stupid.

    • @KamonPlays
      @KamonPlays 8 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/dm-md/d19/d19-13-2-eng.html
      Prohibited knives in Canada are defined as:
      (a) a knife that has a blade that opens automatically by gravity or centrifugal force or by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in or attached to the handle of the knife; or
      (b) any weapon, other than a firearm, that is prescribed to be a prohibited weapon.
      As for Jimmy Diresta, he lives in the US, not Canada. There are different laws for different countries.
      Plain fixed blade knives and work knives aren't prohibited, either, and you'd be fine carrying them (provided you're not behaving like a jackass with them.)
      It's all in what you're doing and how the knife looks. If it's "tacticool," then yes, police are going to give you issues if you're seen with it.
      That same length of blade, however, would most likely be seen as just fine if it looked like something you use for general purpose.
      As I've taken the time to back up the statement that switchblades, OTF's, etc. are illegal in Canada, please provide the regulations / source for your point.
      --------
      Also, you don't have to be a stupid person to do something stupid. I never called anyone stupid. :)

    • @Rhainee
      @Rhainee 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alright perhaps your correct since Canadian law is slightly different...
      Simply carrying any knife in the UK (Where I am from) could result in a £5000.00 fine if its longer than 3.5 inches in length or a folding blade.
      There is a complete ban on the sale of almost all types of opening blades.
      In which case you can go find the UK's legislation on the topic yourself.
      Nowhere anywhere does it say anything as far I know or have the energy to go find further, for the purposes of proving a stranger wrong, that it's illegal to keep anything other than a firearm on private property.
      Over here you're not criminalized for having any sort of opening blade at home as you would be in Canada.
      Since you're correct on the fact Canada has them strictly prohibited, good job.
      I''m still going to say your initial comment is stupid simply for the fact you're a bloody spoil sport and your comment was unwelcome and unnecessary.

    • @KamonPlays
      @KamonPlays 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alexander Rhainé Hehe... I'll accept that I'm sometimes a spoil-sport. :)
      I should note, I wasn't trying to be militant, nor was I attempting to "prove a stranger wrong." I was simply trying to get a point across - he'd most likely not make a video with evidence pertaining to the fact that he'd made or possesses a *real* switchblade.
      Although, on what you were saying about not being permitted to have a firearm on private property - not even hunters and farmers out in the rural parts? I thought they'd gotten an exemption of some sort.
