The video was very good. Replaced my alternator this weekend. It was a nightmare. The lower E Torx bolt stripped, despite using a brand new high impact E Torx bit. When I finally got a bite on it the bolt came out extremely hard due to the lock tite and finally came out. But the bolt threads were stripped and as the bolt came out it broke the bolt housing casting. And trying to get the bolt holes lined up putting the alternator back in the car was painfully hard. I’m pretty handy, but this job will be handed off to a mechanic if there is ever a next time.
Really Helpful and thanks for showing the PLUG! I'm replacing an older alternator on my ML320 that has a small bolt and nut for the single blue wire. The new alt has a plug like yours with 2 pins inside that I didn't know how to wire up with a new plug. :)
I rempved and replaced my alternator but now i cannot remem er what side or where one of the wores goes to from my starter. Does that wire go to the same spot or bolt as the one from the battery or does it go to the other end?
Thats a clean ML for an Ontario truck..... Whats your secret to keep it so clean ..... Where in Ontario are u.... Always liked those MLs .....and keep up the good work.

I just kept my eyes open for the cleanest low mileage 1 owner car I could find. I just got it a few months ago
