2008 Mercedes Benz ML320 Battery Warning Light On and Not Charging

This ML320 was dropped off because the battery warning light was on. Testing leads to alternator replacement.

The diagram covered 3.0cdi, 3.5ml, 3.5 Glass and 5.0. so the 3.0 cdi will only have 2 wires, 3.5 have 2 wires, 5.0 have 3 wires which is the extra wire going to the front Sam module

hi, the lin bus is a local interconnect network (LIN BUS) BASICALLY a small network for that specific network not like the Can bus thats more of a highway for mass information like vehicle speed where several control units can pick up the same information without requesting it on the CAN bus and allso a good video nice one :)

Thanks for the comment. Manufacturers are using LIN all over the place. Eliminates wiring between controllers. I've seen it used on Glow Plug modules, wiper motors, alternators, radio and entertainment controls, heater controls, steering column switches and power door lock actuators etc.

My red battery light ,according to Destin Auto Repair,xonsisted of alternator,both batteries,serpentine belt,brake pads and a leaky valve cover gasket...$3000.00

How can brakes pad and alternator be related?

​@@fabmyride5181 Alternator supply the power back to the battery so it has a connection with the indicator light. I'm more confused it has something to do with the leatku valve gasket though
