I go Ultra-only every Saturday/Sunday. I find it makes me more present with my kids and family. My wife DJs in the car from her phone.

good review.. i too am working to see how to use my ultra2 watch more than the phone. I do miss the camera even though I have a watch camera, it doe NOT compare to the picture qualilty I get when using my iPhone. All The Best!
I just picked up the Ultra 2 with the same purpose, not having to carry my phone. It’s the best smart watch out there but it’s not a sports watch yet. My 5 year old Garmin Fenix 6X Sapphire still beats out the Ultra for sports, sleep tracking and battery life.

You can change the orientation of the Watch in settings and wear it so the crown is opposite your hand so you don’t accidentally hit the button while running with gloves.
thanks Chris. I would have had it on my other hand but I had My Garmin on. It wasn't a big deal. Im on holiday so its a first time im wearing gloves lol thanks for the suggestion

I Wear the Ultra 2 for work (farming) i always Hit the crown. I turned it so im activating always the action Button.
How do you make apple watch work with airpod without phone connect
Do I have to enable the cellular feature on the ultra? I know, "why get the ultra then?" I want to be able to use it later. But for now, since I don't want additional monthly fees on my cellular, plan, I want to be able to still use it sync'd to my phone without using cellular. I am guessing I can use it without cellular, just wanted to make sure. Thanks.
yeah bro you good. When buying the Ultra you don't have you add cellular. On most (if not all carrier) you can add it remove it anytime you want. Here in the U.S I think most charge $10 a month for that

Not really. I prefer my Garmin but on a long run 10+ miles ill take my Apple Watch for the cellular features. Im traveling right now so I am using my Apple Watch a bit more because of the cellular convenience

I think the watch was probably designed anticipating be worn on the left hand. I believe that would solve your issue with your wrist hitting the crown and power button. Great video though!
Nah the buttons always are closest to the wrist on either hand, because as lefties, the watch lets us reverse the orientation and wear it upside down so the crown can be operated with our left hand where it won't go over the watch.
I bought my this week in August 15th Monday but i received it on Tuesday 16th August and then i did applecare+ insured it the 17th August

You can buy a watch band with dual cameras that will work with the ultra for FaceTime and taking pictures. $299.

I keep my ultra in theater mode with the notifications turned on. I’m getting at least 3 days if not 4 out of it. Just tap the screen, rotate the crown or push the crown to turn the screen on to do what you need to do and it’s will turn off in a few seconds or you can cover the ultra with your palm to turn the screen back off. Always on screen looks cool but it’s not practical.
I only use always on display if i'm going out and want people to see my cool watch.

4:45 the ultra watch with some type of AI OS like the rabbit would be perfect.
Your house is really nice. I forgot that the watch doesn't have safari also, would be nice if it did. Apple views the Apple watch as an iPhone accessory and they have definitely held back on the processor and some things that are needed to make this stand alone to ensure you have an iPhone to do the proecssing.

I hope I didn't discourage you. I really drained the battery I mean my AirPods were connected via bluetooth a lot. Plus all those runs, making calls and texting on it. Using Siri. The fact that's its only their 1st generation Ultra. Imagine where it will be in 10 years. Great competition for Garmin
I have the apple watch ultra, the cellular doesn’t work if I don’t have my phone close for some reason. I checked with the holder they said everything is good on their part and my plan is good. On the apple watch it self LTE is connected and everything is fine. It’s just when I move my phone away the watch doesn’t ring. Can anyone tell me why and how to fix it?
Curious not sure if your in the states or not, but you are paying on your plan for "a stand alone device" where the device is assigned a phone number?

Good point! I had it rotated a few weeks ago but I switched because this felt a bit more natural. I wish they could add a safety feature like when you do a water activity so the screen or select buttons can be disabled. My opinion at least

also: make sure your watch isn’t too high on your wrist, it should be behind that bone that kinda protrudes. i don’t have any issues with accidental pressing while working out simply by sliding the watch back a lil
It doesn’t work I had Verizon try to fix it over 1 hour, phone was off, no texts could be received, calls it’s doesn’t work, you have to have your phone on, not with you but on
My keyboard freezes on my Ultra Watch when I’m texting. It’s my first Apple Watch so idk if I did something wrong, but yeah that’s the only thing that happened so far.
that's concerning. I would try doing the standard troubleshoot. Close all the apps, see if it improves.
Turn off watch turn back on. If doesn't improve.
back up your watch and reset it.
In the end of the video I think I mention how responsive "Everything is" Siri, the keyboard, the apps in the App Store. Its minimal lag just as quick as my iPhone 14.

@@Aesthetic_Al Another question… I found out my watch kept my phone in Driving Focus while I was at work for over 3 hours. Like just randomly turned it on and got no notifications pushed to me. Was weird as balls! Is that normal?

After applying the exchange rate the price is pretty close to U.S. $799
Two thoughts: 1) If he didn’t like how his glo😊ve was continually being hit when wearing them, why not reverse the watch’s orientation so that he actually wears the watch with the crown and side button are on the left side of watch as he views the watch face. I have done this since Day One. It really saves a lot of frustration.
Number Two Thought-Beginning with the latest WatchOS, you no longer have to say ‘Hey, Siri….’ Simply raise your arm while wearing your Apple Watch and talk to Siri. The second you do, the little Siri rotating globe or whatever it’s called will appear on your watch’s face. 😊

Google maps is 100% better then Apple Maps Apple maps is not accurate & chooses the longest less direct route but Google maps is more direct & more accurate as I found out recently
Yup totally agree. If I remember correctly when filming this Apple Maps was working smoother without the phone tho. Using it natively on the apple watch alone.
