I have used this epoxy on boards and wings. I never thought of using the clear tape to allow for UV curing through the tape. I bought a UV flashlight on Amazon to be able to do repairs at night, inside, or on cloudy/rainy days. Works great and quickly.
    Great video! Thank you.

Thank you so much for your new tech videos, Brandon. Really great how you started now to support the end user and brought a really fresh breeze into Slingshot's media presence. It also shows Slingshot as a brand for experienced and tech-savvy riders. Keep going and I hope that you'll keep up these vids. By the way: Slingshot dealership and support in Germany is great. Those guys in Kiel are so extremely helpful!

Can this technique be applicable for anything similar? I was given a used gimbal that had chips and scratches, so I want to figure out how to fix up some of the parts like this.

What exact colour should the paint marker be for the orange edge?

Thanks for instructions. Is there any practical reasons for fixing the dings or is it purely esthetical?

Both, but do it to increase the life and performance of your wing. Chips can grow if not treated properly in the early stages. Taking good care of gear is a must!

If you are into miniature painting, army painter lava orange is pretty perfect. I use it on my wings and struggle to see it afterwards. The hex for it is #e65525

Put a paper clip at end of tape on the roll Makes easy to find the end

Despite sanding and cleaning the area, the Solarez didn't stick very well to my Hoverglide foil. I can't recommend this stuff.

Even EASIER: just put tape under the damaged spot and put a drop of resin/solarez on the void without closing the tape. Then sandpaper it when it hardens.
