Yes, I noticed better performance for sure, it’s worthwhile! 👍😎🤙🏼

Perfect timing. I was just looking into this so when this video popped up I thought it was the TH-cam AI. Glad it was Blue planet instead! I learned to how to use stick epoxy, and re-glue deck pads from your vids. Now I can fix up my foil that look like it got into a fight with a tiger!

Thanks for that, insanely helpful. Used filler up until now, huge timesaver.

Best tip ever. A lot easier than fixing with epoxy resin.

Very helpful video! I live in the Caribbean and have been foil surfing for a little over a month now. My foil has got plenty of scratches from hitting rocks.

I have a white Takuma Helium and I have been using an acrylic paint pen I bought from Lidl. It's liquid paint, but the tip is like a hard sponge or felt fit and you can press it to pump paint from the container to the tip. Takes a while to dry, but it fills smaller scratches and it's easy to sand once dry. For a quick touch-up, nail polish works too (and can be removed later with acetone, if you want to do a more solid repair).
I suppose if the foil has a nasty crack on it and it has a foam core, you might want to be careful with acetone (and possibly nail polish too) just in case it dissolves the core. For something like that, I would use either SolarEZ (quick and easy) or Hempel epoxy filler (takes a long time to cure).

Yes, epoxy with filler is the proper way to fix scratches but this pen works surprisingly well with less work and quick dry time.

I imagine a conversation like this' "Oh sure Robert, you can tune up your foil but can't replace my hammock?"

Does it need to be this Low halogen pen or will other solid markers from sukura work?

I have only tested the low halogen markers

A little spritz of matte clear coat over the whole wing as a final step leaves a nice even finish.

You want to use a small block while sanding

Oh shucks, I guess it was a limited time offer. Good stuff though, you won’t regret it
