This actually the equivalent to slums in south america but it's for Palestinians and recently Syrians, even us lebanese don't go there. It's considered one of the most dangerous places in beirut suburbs.
Luke you went to Lebanon, Sabra is a Palestinian refugee market known to be the worst part of lebanon....Please visit some of the following areas while you are there: Baalbek Roman Ruins, Saida, Tyre, Tripoli....Either way, enjoy your time in Lebanon!!!

As a Palestinian Lebanese who lived most of his life in Lebanon and has family in Lebanon I never dared to go to Sabra. I gotta say you have balls. My advice would be never go there again. You can see that one kid tried to rip you off right beside you which is the least problematic thing that can happen to you there. I am surprised how nothing serious happened to you, my advice stay away from that place and mainly palistinain camps, there not safe !!!

Hello Luke! You are back in Beirut from Dubai and World Nomac is back in Beirut from the mountains. Looks like Sabra refugee camp is safe enough for foreign tourist to visit during the day. How long will you and World Nomac be staying in Beirut? One week? If so, I gave World Nomac a list of the places in Beirut that you and World Nomac could visit. Please go to see an old Holiday Inn hotel and make a video of it. Ask someone at this old hotel place to show around and go up to the top of that building and explain to you and World Nomac what it looked like when the civil war started in 1975. The other building in the distance from old Holiday Inn building was under construction just before the civil war started. It was the tallest building in Lebanon and is still standing there now. Lots of new high-rise buildings are already built all over Beirut after the civil war ended in 1990.
