Nice to see the SSG 3000 back up on TH-cam. I have one and I added a CAN to it. I should make a video of that!. These rifles are still active in Sigś inventory and used in their training course.

Sig77. Awesome to get some feedback on the SSG. And yes, you should definitely do a video of it with the can. This is the gun that started it for me on the long range shooting. I shoot the 6.5 creedmoor now, but the SSG is one I will make sure is passed down for generations in my family. I tried to find another one in the 20” after I found out they stopped shipping them to the US but couldn’t locate one. I still see them used on occasion but their price is sky high as you would expect. Thanks again for responding and glad you liked the video Sig 77. If you happen to post a video on your gun, please send me a link as I would love to check it out. Feel free to check out all our videos on ALW Precision Shooters.

Impressive shooting and an impressive rifle. I am not an expert by any stretch but I would venture to say that heating up a rifle designed for sniping isn’t practical or necessarily a good measure of the performance. The first 2 shots in the same hole highlighted it’s accuracy in purpose. Good video production.Thank you for posting.

The Sig SSG is an amazing rifle. I am so lucky to have one of these as they are no longer in production and very difficult to find. It is as accurate as any 308 out there. Thanks for watching Sean and thanks for the post. Really appreciate the comment and support of our channel. Feel free to check out all our videos on ALW Precision Shooters.

Nice footage! How did you manage to mount your iPhone sideways on the spotting scope? Mine is always sliding to the vertical position due to insufficient grip between my iPhone and scope eye piece.

HK9mmDude Texas. Thanks for the comment HK9! I had the same problem with my phone sliding down too. My tripod has an arm that you use to swivel the optic back and forth. I can loosen the lug on that arm and flip it upside down so it sits relatively close to the phone in the sideways position. Then I usually take a car waxing sponge and fold it (or something with some spring to it) and put it between the phone and the arm to hold it in place. Kind of hokey, but it works. Thanks for watching and thanks for tuning in!

Back in 2011 or 2012, I saw one at one of my local Wal-Marts. I have regretted not buying it. It was $1,500 and marked 50% off. 😢

Omg! Yes, you should have Kevin! I could have bought another, but with the shorter barrel from my local guy and didn’t. Wish I had done that too. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.

Checking your gun is a good idea but in all honestly it should not be necessary. You should always know the condition of your firearm, especially if it is your personal firearm and no-one else has the permission to use it.

tiputipu777. I completely agree, however, it’s nice to know when your gun hasn’t been shot in a long time that it’s still dead on as you expect it to be. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.

BOBBY BVI. Thanks for the comment Bobby. The test sight in from the factory that came with my gun was noted using 168g Federal GMM. Since then I have always used a 168g bullet. I’m sure the gun will be accurate with anything you use but I personally prefer 168g as I have had good luck with it. Thanks for watching!

      The same mine.
I buy it from Germany and on the papers they write RWS .308 TARGET ELITE PLUS 10,9 g and 168 grains.

Sam Gregorian. That’s awesome Sam. This gun is phenomenal, no question about it. It’s a shame they don’t make these any longer here in the states. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment.

@@alwprecisionshooters4757 THANK YOU, ACTUALLY SIG DOESN'T SHIP THEM TO U.S. ANYMORE, I THINK IT WAS DUE TO SIG USA SHIPPING WEAPONS TO A COUNTRY THAT WAS ON THE WEAPONS BAN LIST, NOT SURE WHICH SOUTH AMERICAN COUNTRY. THAT PISSED SIG OFF AND STOPPED SHIPPING ANY GERMAN MADE SIGS TO U.S.

@@alwprecisionshooters4757 👍 PERSONALLY, I THINK IT WAS POOR DECISION ON SIG USA'S PART, PENNY WISE AND A DOLLAR FOOLISH CHOICE, WHAT TO DO, GREED HAS NO BOUNDARIES. 🙄😏

Sam Gregorian. I look at it like this Sam...due to these guns no longer being brought into America, they make ours that much more valuable. It definitely increases the collectible factor in our benefit. I’ll take it for whatever reason Sig stopped bringing them in.

@@alwprecisionshooters4757 Hmmm... I don't know. I watched it again and enjoyed the content and the rifle. I've owned my SSG3000 for 5 years. I have it topped with a Vortex Razor HD Gen2 FFP scope. My Sig eats anything. It may move the impact point, but all are a solid dime at 100yds, .5 MOA at 200. I can't wait to shoot it on a match grade range of 800. My rifle is a keeper. 👍
