  • @orwellknew9112
    @orwellknew9112 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You can see the shadow behind the quarter. Great shooting by the way. It’s such a joy shooting a really accurate rifle. Congratulations on your new rifle. Looks like a real shooter. I have a Browning A-Bolt Target McMillan in 6.5 Creedmoor that I think could do what your Tikka did, but it’s hard to say until you try it. I used to shoot a piece of metal at the top of the 300M gong post. It was about the size and shape of a cell phone. I could hit it 10 shots out of 10 most days with reloaded ammunition. Sadly, I recently burned the barrel out of the Browning and found out gunsmiths don’t like re-barreling Brownings because of the thread locker the Browning factory uses on their barrels. The local gunsmith says it’s difficult to get the barrels off and there’s not enough meat on the receiver to cut a new thread if the old threads are damaged. Good to know. So, I just purchased a 6.5 CM TAC in the desert colour. Haven’t shot it yet, but it looks really well thought out and constructed,. Tikka guarantees a 5 shot group under 1 MOA at 100Y (and that’s worst case of course). I’ve seen most reviewers on TH-cam get one ragged hole for 3 shot groups at 100yds. On the “Mark and Sam After Work” TH-cam channel, they were both hitting steel at a mile with a 6,5 CM TAC that someone had lent them. They were very impressed. The reloaded ammo they used wasn’t even set up to get the best accuracy because it was a borrowed rifle and not one of their own.. Another great feature is there are no issues with re-barreling Tikkas. Some of the best aftermarket barrel makers offer barrels already pre-chambered because Tikka guarantees such high tolerances for their action/bolt headspace. Good to know.
