Very helpful! Thank you.
Pleased to hear that =)
Thankyou.
You use the same type of eye shadow tool as I do - so much better than the sofft tools - beautiful work!
that tongue and teeth are perfect 😀
Thank you =)
I'd love to know what materials you recommend for a beginner and also whether your Patreon projects suggest which are suited to beginner level please?
Anyone new to pastels I always say the paper is so important. This can make a huge difference. Pastelmat by Clairefontaine is what I recommend because it takes many many layers and is very forgiving.
For pencils I use a few brands but the Carbothello are beautiful to work with. Soft enough to blend lovely but hard enough to sharpen to a nice point for details. Then other sets or individual pencils from other sets can be added over time.
My Patreon has loads of tutorials and many suited for beginners. The Giraffe tutorial I uploaded this month is ideal. Lots to choose from =)
hi zara, new patreon here, is that pan pastel you use for underlay? ty.
Hey, yep I did use PanPastels for the base layer for this portrait =)
also, is this a private group?ty.
@@roberthossack286 Which group? The comments here are on my public TH-cam channel but my Patreon tutorials are all for members who have joined a tier and then there is a private Facebook members group as well =)
so is there only 1 facebook group? as it doesnt say private, and thanks for the reply.

Hi! Do you use fixativ between layers?
Hey, no I don't. I prefer to build up layers gradually so I don't have the need for a fixative.
Hi! Can I send you a commission I'm working on to get your advice?
