@@gilazuara8255 Netflix Isaac not only a completely different character, but also a Mary Sue whom the writer clearly favoured even from a narrative sense. He couldn't even commit to keeping this version of Isaac as a villain. This Isaac is actually a good character and works as a far better villain once people actually bother looking into his backstory.
@@marianokaz1503 To be fair, they weren't related in the source material either. That being said, they altered Isaacs character and backstory to the point he may as well have been an OC of the writer. What's interesting is that in the medieval times, someone with a last name is usually from a prominent family or even nobility. In Isaac and Julia's case(A character they cut from the show), there is a strong fan theory that they may be from a noble family that fell to ruin during the witch hunts that took place years before CV3.
The problem I had with both Hector and Isaac was both of them abruptly getting over their vendettas. It disappointed me. After pretty much being raped and having restraints on him from Lenore, Hector underwhelmingly didn’t do much besides finally locking his rapist and abuser in a cage, then abruptly wants to save her, and she kills herself anyways. I feel that putting Ottoman Turks in an adaptation could work in two ways, it would be the reason why Count Dracula became in charge of the fictional Wallachia because he saved them from the Turks, so initially they accept Count Dracula’s rule. Also if Count Dracula saved Isaac from the Ottoman Turks, it would be a mutual enemy of both and Isaac could have been a slave of the Ottoman Empire since the Ottoman Turks were involved in a slave trade as well as had special indoctrinated slave soldiers known as the Jannisary corps. Also for a little extra edginess, they could have threatened as Turk slave masters, to do the forced sterilization on Isaac for that horror factor. Either way, there were teases but it was abrupt with Isaac that he was over it.
It’s the voice of the Joker from Young Justice, kind of wished I heard a Joker voice like this more. Not saying I don’t like the Mark Hammill voice, but IMO, this voice should have been used more for the Joker

Idk why Netflix nerfed Hector and Isaac is a cool chad lol
With all the wokeness/sjw bullshit it has become a very common trope nowadays cause white red heads gotta be race swapped because they are “problematic” somehow. I don’t know why. Red Sonja was gonna get race swapped in a live action movie or show thats in the works but changed their minds.
netflix version of isaac is way more interesting with an incredibly compelling and well written arc. the original version of isaac from curse of darkness is a ridiculous over the tip edgy madman and the only good thing about hin is liam o'brien's performance. and i will die on this hill.
I would say i love both isaac but definitly not for the same reasons, i mean one is still complex and has his own conviction, and this one has a lot of personality and is truly an antagonist. I love both of them :3
Why do you like this version more? Personally I loved the Netflix version: the way the character grows, the speeches he does at the end, the fact that he points towards such immaterial things which he comes to understand as important. I have no idea about what his story was originally, do you think it was better?
this Isaac was also a loyal servant of Dracula to the point he got really pissed for what Hector did: Hector caused him to be homeless and also thanks to him Isaac couldn't protect his master when Trevor and co. arrived to the castle as he was battling Hector in the woods. Isaac descended into madness and decided to plot is revenge on Hector. In the Netflix show we never see Isaac's full potential as in this game, he's just a necromancer that creates tons of shitty creatures to form a misanthropic army whereas originally he could create way more powerful devils that assisted Dracula to conquer Valachia in the war just as Hector, another nerfed character.

This was the Hector and Isaac fight I wanted to see in the show.

Sadly the writter didn't care about making those two related in some kinda way, they were just aquaintances who barely knew eachother.

This is the original Isaac? The netflix series gave him such a glow down! Why did they change his entire character!? I'm so pissed.
Well, the way I see it, is that they simply created their own universe with some characters based on the originals.
It's just different
