    Great video bro. I have been struggling with a 07 CRF450R. Your video was the solution to my problem. Great job. Thanks!

    Thank you for making a video about this.
    i have been struggling with my 08 YZ 250f for some time now with a bad bog of idle, replaced ALL the seals/gaskets/orings/accelerator pump in the whole carb except the mid body since almost no one talked about that, everyone just yelled that it was the accelerator pump which already was replaced. After having the carb apart for the 5th time in a year(what a pain it is to remove on this bike), it finally runs correctly after replacing the mid body kit!

    Hey, this video is super helpful, thank you! I am rebuilding the carb on a drz400 and ride from about 5,000 to 10,000 feet. My main jet (142) and starter jet (65) seem to be stock but my pilot jet is 45 instead of the stock 38. Would you recommend any changes to how I have it jetted? Also, is there any harm in reusing the needle and some of the jets if they seem to be clear and clean?

    LOVE YOUR IN DEPTH VIDEO! I NOTICE THAT YOU "AIR CUT OFF DIAPHRAGM/COVER" IS MISSING! EVEN IN MY 2006 OWNERS WORKSHOP MANUAL... IT IS MISSING! IS IT DELIBERATE?

    I’m in the process of cleaning and replacing the jets in my carb and was wondering where a jet went that I didn’t recognize in my reset kit. It turns out to be the starter jet which was missing from my carb. Not sure why it was missing since I bought the bike used. Maybe it will run better after I get it all back together.

    Awesome man thanks for the video , I am wondering how I can unplug the tube that shoot gas into the cylinder the one u pointed out you called it the tube , i see no fuel being shot so also how can I make fuel come out of there with out reassembling the carb into the motor? Or do I need to have it installed

    • @claytonmotos2816
      @claytonmotos2816  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re talking about the accelerator pump tube then you need to disassemble the mid body and then you’ll find the tube screwed into the main body. Most of the time it is seized so I don’t try to take it out. I just blast it with carb cleaner and compressed air. Also make sure that your accelerator pump diaphragm is installed correctly as that could be the cause for no fuel being shot in.

      He was talking about the little tube sticking out at 14.58 in your video. That’s shooting gas. I hope that is replaceable. Mine is missing or broken. I hope I don’t need to buy the whole carb just because of that.

    Great video! I've never replaced those mid body gaskets before, I don't know why they're such a mystery? Went to my local KTM dealer to get some, they don't stock them, he Say's; I Duno man, we never replace those, I don't think I'd do that if I were you.

    • @claytonmotos2816

      I’ve honestly never heard of them until I found the kit to replace them and even finding that was a struggle. They have made all the difference in builds I’ve done before so they are now part of my normal carb rebuild procedures.

      @@claytonmotos2816 I'm in need of your help. In your video which is very informative and by far the best video I've seen on this carb hands down. In your video @ 14:48 after you break apart the mid body and talk about the shot if gas the carb gets in the combustion chamber. My carb does not have that nipple. Can you plz point me in the right direction to purchase one. Thanks and I appreciate whatever help you can give.

      @@pillcosbyandtheroofies5140 Hey man I’m on the case. Pretty sure that part is pressed in but I have an extra carb body that’s got one in it. I can try to remove it but if that doesn’t work i’ll post the carb body on my ebay store and send you a link.

      @@claytonmotos2816 hey yes it is pressed in. I'm not sure why it has a slot for a flat screw driver like the other jets but that is absolutely the little piece I need. Thanks for looking into my problem I appreciate you and keep me posted on that link if you can't press it out. Thanks again!

    At 14.58 that little tube shooting out gas, is it replaceable, because mines broken, or is it part of the carb body.

    • @claytonmotos2816
      @claytonmotos2816  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey thanks for the comment. Yes the part has a part number however it is not purchasable through parts suppliers, I have tried. The only way I have found to replace a broken one is through buying a new carb throat. That particular jet is pressed into the throat and must be pressed out. Be very delicate!
